I decided to treat myself to a close to $100 lunch experience. I ordered a drink, 2 appetizers, an entrée, and naaan. I came shortly after the high noon lunch rush, luckily having the restaurant to myself. I had light, engaging conversation with the owners, Rani and her husband as my lunch was prepared. They are from Lahore. They were surpised I knew where they're from in Pakistan and how famous Lahore is for their biriyanis. I usually order food from them through Grubhub. I decided to go in to experience the ambience. I was not disappointed. Loved the heavy wood from the tables to the chairs and the bar area. All my food was freshly made to order. The only constructive feedback I have is my mango lemonade was underwhelming. It tasted of drink mix. I think some fresh elements could have been introduced like lemons, mangoes or homemade lemonade. I would love to experience their same passion for food to carry through to their beverage offerings. Overall, I will return and bring friends.

Ordered falafel, paneer tikka kebab. Kebab tasted good, unhappy with the quantity. Falafel was dry. Main course - garlic naan and veg karahi - the curry had no flavor. Lastly Paneer biriyani quantity was good taste was okay. Also ordered Starwberry lemonade. Overall highly disappointed. Ambience was fantastic but food was average.

Came here with family to celebrate a birthday. Great food, good portions, and the women who served us were very sweet. The menu has Indian options, like tikka masala & chaats, as well as mediterranean options, like gyros & kebabs. So it was great for us as a group that loves both!

I was so disappointed with the food from this place. Tonight was my first time trying it out since the locations convenient and the reviews were good but the food was awful. Even just the packaging had me worried at first since Indian restaurants usually pack the rice and protein separately. I ordered the chicken tandoori which is the most basic Indian cuisine and it was the worst I've ever had. The protein portion was 70% bone which I've never even seen from other spots, it's usually just the chicken no bone and the entree itself was all rice. So why did I pay $25 for something I'm getting half the amount I usually would elsewhere. It was also dry and had no flavor, I also noticed afterwards that the person taking my order didn't ask which level of spice I'd like. It honestly seems completely white washed and it ruined my night. I do no recommend this place.

Very disappointed with this place. I really needed some good food, this day, I needed some good food to make me feel better, I absolutely love Indian food, one of my favorites, but this restaurant did not deliver good tasting food. Dined in, around 1:00PM, was completely empty nobody there. Was so embarrassed by the food did not even give an honest opinion to the owner or cook that came out and asked how everything was going. Didn't want to offend the person, but come on, if you spend $$$ the food should be really good, it's a restaurant, that's why you pay extra, for high quality food. Got a masala dish, which I will never order again and probably never go back. Maybe the main chef was away? Or quit, not sure. The restaurant has a high rating 4.4 out of 5 stars, so you would think it would be good. The one recommend to me by a rich guy I know only has 4.3 stars so I thought this place be better, with higher stars. There is no parking, which is a hassle by itself, lucky I came when no one was there, and got the only spot left that was available. I just want to experience some really good food, I will try the place my friend recommended instead, I know there are many Indian places to dine at in Seattle area, there should be no excuse for not serving great food, at least taste it 1st before you serve it to the customers. I read all the rave reviews, everyone say this place amazing, you wonder if some of them are fake. I'm just the unfortunate person that get's the not so good dish. No this restaurant is not as good as it claims to be. I will keep searching for the best Indian spots in WA STATE this is definitely not one of them, pass on this place.

Spacious restaurant with good food and good ambiance. Many options to select from. Spice level is moderate. Staff is friendly but doesn’t have enough knowledge of what they are serving particularly in the drink’s section.

Had vegetable pakora, chicken tikka. That was a good start. But things went downhill afterwards: naans were ok, paneer karahi was reasonable, saag paneer was tasteless. Drinks: old fashioned, bay leaf mojito, pomegranate mojito were bad. Place was mostly empty and food came in within reasonable amount of time.

Food here was good and service people were nice. I want to suggest that the items on the menu be clearly labeled as vegetarian vs vegan. I think this would help both the business and customers. For example, I think naan is often basted with butter (dairy), but the waitstaff said it was not. And many Indian curries have dairy, but the way the menu was written, we kind of had to infer when it says "creamy", that it might contain cream. Anyway, please consider creating a menu that clearly labels as vegan! Thank you!

The food here is incredible, very flavorful and cooked perfectly. There's a diversity of options and we have been extremely satisfied every time we have eaten here. I will say that it's best not to come on a weekend if you're in a hurry. While our service has always been good, it can be slow on the weekends when it is busy. I believe the place has merely grown faster than they've grown their staff, and while I am happy to wait for incredible food, I do believe the staff here needs to acknowledge customers much faster and at least get a drink order in. That isn't to say the staff isn't great, just that the initial delay should be worked on. The owners are the sweetest people and care very much about quality and it shows in the delicious drinks and bites as well as their interactions with the customers. It definitely makes it easier to swallow to initial delay. All in all, I believe it's the best restaurant in downtown Bothell.

Having been a South Asian myself, I know a little bit about Indian food. I ventured into Bay Leaf with a friend yesterday and boy I’m glad I did. From downtown Bothell onwards to the Bothell Everett Highway, there are plenty of Indian restaurants. Bay Leaf however is hands down the best among all of them. The food was exceptional, the ambience is posh and the service is amazing. The staff took care of us very well but to top it off, the owner herself came and paid us a visit to ensure that everything was good and the food was what we expected. You can make Indian food where you just wing it or can make it with proper care and proper ingredients and the difference is noticeable. It was very evident that the art of cooking Indian food is a serious business at Bay Leaf. Thanks to everyone for such a good experience.

They’ve some good vegetarian options. Friendly staff and decent ambience. One of items weren’t tasting so good and they were generous enough to not add it to the bill.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff, making me feel right at home. The first thing that caught my attention was the delectable aroma wafting from the kitchen, promising a culinary adventure ahead. I wasn't disappointed; the food was nothing short of delicious. Each dish was packed with authentic Indian flavors, leaving my taste buds dancing in delight. Whether it was the rich and creamy butter chicken or the aromatic biryanis, everything was cooked to perfection. One thing I truly appreciated about Bay Leaf was their generous portion sizes. I left the restaurant feeling thoroughly satisfied without breaking the bank. The prices were more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food they offered, making it an excellent value for money. The restaurant's ambiance was another highlight of my visit. The cozy and inviting atmosphere made it a perfect place for a relaxing meal with friends or family. It wasn't too crowded, allowing for comfortable conversations without feeling overwhelmed by noise. The dishes were served promptly, and the servers were attentive throughout the meal, making sure all our needs were met. Their genuine passion for the cuisine was evident, as they happily answered our questions and even suggested some of their personal favorites. Moreover, Bay Leaf Restaurant offered free parking, which made the dining experience even more convenient and hassle-free. This is a classic restaurant run for profit. The food is below average’ ordered a malai kofta which is a rich dish with dry fruits and the sauce decorated with cream, coriander etc! What i ordered was most probably store bought/frozen balls god knows made of what leave behind the dry fruits or stuffed paneer. It was not at all appealing to eat less take a picture! The ambiance is decent for Bothell but would not go there for food!
