Jardim Senhor do Padrão

Tourist attraction Museum Religious destination

People often mention Matosinhos,

(Translated by Google) Lord's garden of the pattern dating from the eighteenth century and also known by the lord of hawthorn or lord of the sand, marks the place where according to legend where appeared the image of Bom Jesus de Bouças later known as Lord of Matosinhos. Monument of great visual impact until the early twentieth century, this juniper was isolated in the middle of the sandy beach of the sea buckthorn and is visible many kilometers away from both the land and the sea. Although the lord of the standard has lost much of its visual impact following the development of the last hundred years, it remains an important reference for the City and the fishing community. Indeed, much of the religious devotion of the fishermen of Matosinhos and their families materializes next to this monument, such as November 1, when the monument is surrounded by thousands of candles that burn in memory of the fishermen killed at sea.

Beautiful restauration.... But no information about the importance of the - not shown- Holy Lord crucifix in comparison to other Santo Vulto legends.... No pilgrim to Santiago is aware of it....

Maravilhosa, praia limpa e de boas energias. Matosinhos, lugar onde faleceu a escritora Florbela Espanca.

😠 Disappointing. I feel it's not quite as Bridgey as it could be, with it had studied bridging a bit harder when it was younger. It also opens to allow ships through, thereby occasionally not being a bridge at all.
