It's always great to know a little better the story of Portugal and Leça's lighthouse tells you a little of the story of the Portuguese people and it relation with the ocean.

The place is open to visitors every Wednesday but be prepared for the stairs as the elevator does not work. The view is beautiful so, if you are fit to go all the way up, it deserves a visit. After that, you can walk less than 10 minutes and visit a place called Caqui. There you can fresh juices and bowls to refresh after the stairs workout.

Here is a map of Colosseum, it’s amazing. If you like history it’s place for you. I highly recommend to buy a ticket in advance. I bought a tour with VIP access to skip the line and visit a forum of Colosseum. Just I can say amazing you have to go and see in person

Nice lighthouse at the end of the beach in Leça. Nice to walk there and may watch the sunset.

Great view, best in all of Porto! Free entry, but it is only open every Wednesday for the public. But it is worth the visit! 👍👌

Beautiful area with a nice pathway along the coast. Had fun taking photos here, especially during sunset!

The place would be beautiful if it weren't next to a huge and highly polluting oil refinery...

Fantastic experience. Few logistic: open Wednesday 2-5pm, free admission. Every 30 min 10 people are allowed, so you might wait your turn. Inside there are 215 steps and steep 2 ladders but doable for senior citizens and toddlers. Great experience

A beautiful lighthouse in a nice environment. To close of a metropolitan area , so it's usually with much people and traffic. If you don't appreciate this places on winter, the 2nd best option it's weekdays on spring

I live nearby this place and it has become one of my favorite places. I walk past this light house at least 4 to 5 times every week, mostly on evenings. It's such a wonderful sight to see it around sunset.

I don't know if is open to the public, but it would be good if visiting it was a possibility.

I actually never visited the lighthouse, Also I'm not sure that you can visit it as it is a functional costal guard site. Still, the surroundings are a very pleasant place to go for a stroll. The nearby beaches are also very nice but there isn't a lot of real estate in the sand.

Overlooks the beach ominously on a foggy night, giving off Eye of Sauron vibes.

😠 Disappointing. I feel it's not quite as Bridgey as it could be, with it had studied bridging a bit harder when it was younger. It also opens to allow ships through, thereby occasionally not being a bridge at all.

👍👍 Very good to relax and enjoy nature at its best. Space to play with children, lots of shade from trees, picnic tables and has a small cafe where you can sit and enjoy the nature while having a cup of coffee.
