We were a party on 15 out on the far end of a very comfortable deck. Our server Brie never missed a beat. She was very pleasant, patient and professional. We had a great experience and WILL be back!

Just happened to be there while working around lunch. I was just hoping for something better than the gas station pizza a few miles away. I wasn't trying to pay the rent for you. I ordered some fries and a drink and it was $13. I mean there was zero chance of order the $30 tacos. I think the fries were from a bag. Our waitress had attitude when I ordered the fries as if to confirm we didn't belong in this shabby establishment. If you want 30 dollars for tacos maybe at least clean up the place. La Loma in Denver actually has a nice atmosphere and has great food but even they aren't trying to get 30 for tacos. Your food did not warrant the price tag. Furthermore when I checked out for my meal the idiot waitress ran my card for the entire table. Then acted like a total bone head as if I should be happy to buy my coworkers lunch. Needless to say I'll never return which is no loss.

We have always enjoyed talking our families and visitors here for a special treat on a trip to the mountains. And it is a fun stop ever time without a hiccup at all. The staff is always helpful and friendly and today the weather made it a great day to enjoy the deck and meet new people that live in the area. The chocolates and pies are hand made and delicious. It is also a very clean place with more seating area than it looks like from the outside. You will enjoy this five star experience!

We've been here before but thought we'd give it another shot.. The atmosphere is great. If you sit outside, you can enjoy a great view. The food was just ok. I had a burrito and it was VERY dry and Very pricey. Every little thing costs extra. For example, you have to add green chili, or cheese or salsa...many items standard in a LOT of other restaurants. The couple at the next table actually walked out due to pricing. They also waited at least ten minutes and no one ever waited on them. Not a place you go if you don't have some time on your hands. We weren't in a hurry so not a big deal for us. We'll travel the extra 15 minutes and go to Last Shot.

Wondervu Cafe is a small local establishment that is relatively close to Gross Reservoir and hiking. As with most restaurants, they are short staffed so please be patient and kind to the hardworking staff. I ordered the #9 Guacamole Tostada Plate and I thought it was delicious. My husband ordered the #6 Large Combination and thought it was okay. I like the Wondervu salsa which I have purchased at Whole Foods and Heinie's Market as well. For dessert, I ordered an Irish coffee truffle and oatmeal cookie. Jennifer our server was nice and I would be willing to come back.

Well, the atmosphere is nice outside...and from what I recall the food is pretty good. However we've been sitting here for over an hour now and there's no sign of our breakfast yet. Guess we should've ordered lunch instead? The kitchen was apparently "backed up" by the other 3 (three) tables that were here. Our server is very nice, so I don't blame her...but we'll be spending $70 on breakfast elsewhere from here on out. (edited as our server gave us a discount and was very helpful about the situation)

Small local diner-type joint. Food was great, super-friendly people, highly accommodating service. When we went, they were a bit understaffed but it was also peak tourist season (I'm a local) so I don't think it's really their fault. I would assume that they are normally able to operate at a standard pace (ie. providing reasonable seating & serve wait times); but when we went there was a decent wait on everything. Regardless, we'll be going back next time we're passing by - we still really enjoyed ourselves. Lovely spot.

Very nice and clever mountain vibe with great portions of well done food. Initially attentive server got distracted and also we wanted to sit outside on the patio but we’re denied although others subsequently were seated there. 😳 I’d still go back as it was a nice spot to stop on our motorcycle ride through the canyon.

Under new management for a while. The Menu is shorter, food seem about the same. Prices went way up. Ambiance is, as always, very good. Service has taken a turn for the worse. This morning we waited for an hour for our breakfast foods. No explanation, no apology. The vegetarian, smothered burrito had bacon and the cinnamon bun was many days old. It will be awhile before we come back.

Friendly service and cute cafe style atmosphere. The chili Renello looked great but had issues with the steak burger. The entire thing came out cold, steak included. The cheese want melted on the bun and was shredded so it just fell out and made a mess when you tried to eat it. The Green and red peppers looked like they were sauteed at some point but along with everything else was ice cold. Only visiting the area for a couple weeks and would likely not go back. Gave 3 stars as the chili cheese fries and chili renello were good according to my table mates.

The best post-hike mountain meal. Love this place. Great margs, salsa and enchiladas.

We dined on 6/18. After being asked if we had a reservation and responding no, we were give a table in a back room. Even though, we were treated like we were lucky to get a table, we observed that there were many open tables on the patio that were open and remained open the entire hour and 15 minutes we were there and other tables inside were open as well. We waited an hour for the food that was ordered including sodas that were ordered. We will not be returning, this is the worst service we have ever had at a restaurant.

Food was ok nothing to right home about but not horrible. The issue was the service the waiter was seriously hilariously bad. We tried to order appetizers first the waiter refused we had to order everything at once. He literally waited to bring out our nachos till everything was complete. Cold as you may expect.. He totally lacked any training or was just trying to help out due to short staff. We told him we needed silverware before food came out. Food came out he forgot.... Then decided that wasn't urgent ran for drinks or something else. Never multi -tasked. The Cook from the back jumped into action as he was helping out to delivering food to another table. He quickly ran and dropped off silverware immediately. Our waiter literally showed up 10 minutes later with silverware..."oh you got some" he said. Honestly, we were only there for an easy bite and to hang out. We weren't mad, we just looked at as one of those things. Brand new employee or he was filling in. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The food would of probably been ok but it seriously was warm or cold. The waiter wasn't miserable or unpleasant... Just had no clue at all. We have a memory and laughs of the whole experience. My iced tea finally got delivered by waiter as he came back to bus the table. 😂😂😂 I refuse to give a super low score as this place is a charmer and we had fun sitting out. The table next to us was laughing as well... Just chilling on the mountain with one of the worst waiters of all time. Want to give a higher score. Because this pace could be awesome.

We love to stop and eat here after a day of hitting the trials with the car or bike. My go to is the smothered fajita burrito with beans. Highly recommended their chips and salsa both made fresh. Also the staff is super nice!

Ahh yes. On your way into or from the mountains this location offers good food and great service. I tried apple pie a La mode. I couldn’t control myself and ate it pretty fast. My advice is to stop by take a break from I lovely, drive and enjoy.

Had some time to kill before checking into an Airbnb nearby, and I'm really glad we ended up spending that time here. Cozy little Mexican place with some really great food (try the tamales and green chili in particular.) Would definitely stop back in next time I'm in the area and looking for a bite to eat. Wish we could've tried the desserts

I had the most expensive and bland burrito I have ever had. Over $20.00 for a bland burrito? The menu is very old and worn out. Hard or even impossible to read in places. Not great service. The women that worked there had other places they wanted to be. I have been going there for many years. It used to be much better. I will not be going back.

Food was very good. The only problem I had was the $6 and change breakfast egg burrito I ordered ended up coming out to $17 and change.. I just wanted something inexpensive and quick. The waitress asked would you like some lettuce on that some cheese tomato I said sure. Didn't realize everything was charged a la carte. Even the lettuce!. It wants delicious but I got a shock with the bill.

Beautiful cafe with nice pine walls, pine tables and chairs. Beautiful deck. Well cared for. Delicious food. Great blueberry pie! Beautiful hand dipped chocolates for sale. Really nice wait-staff! Wonderful view of Indian Peaks, just like the name says! 😎
