We are visiting Boulder and this is a very upscale restaurant right in town. We are able to walk to the restaurant from our downtown hotel. I loved the room and the service was impeccable (5 stars on that) However, the food was good but not 5 star. They are partially prix fix on the menu with a choice of many courses or a 4 course choice. We were told that we should all order the same in terms of which prix fix menu because of pacing. So, we all got the 4 course deal for $125 ea. I’ll comment on the photos of the items I tasted. Overall the presentation was exquisite and the portions small so we weren’t too stuffed. Flavor wise it seemed that the balance was a little off on some of the menu items. See my photos for more info on each dish. With cocktails and apps we spent $1300 for 4 ppl so pricey…which I’m willing to pay if food is 5 star.

Frasca is an indulgent high-end culinary experience complemented with excellent staff and some intriguing and excellent wine pairings and cocktails. Unfortunately, I feel that it has faded back into the background noise of fine dining available in Denver and Boulder after briefly making itself heard. While some courses stood out in quality and execution on the Friulano tasting menu, others fell quite short. Multiple dishes attempted to be unnecessarily complex and had significantly over-seasoned components, while some of the simpler ones highlighted the quality of the ingredients leaving us craving another plate. Front of house was a huge standout with excellent attention to detail and personal accommodations. I highly recommend Frasca for the wine and cocktails, but I can't quite recommend the food given the price point and the competition in the area. We'll give Frasca another try in a few months; all of the components are there to be a destination restaurant worthy of every foodie's attention, but with top-tier pricing, expectations are high and execution must be flawless. Feedback for Frasca: Assaggi: 5/5, Excellent oyster & eel, the tarts were not memorable Trota: 5/5, simple dish with high-quality ingredients, delicious in every way although the rhubarb slices were an unnecessary and unwanted distraction Sourdough: 3/5, bread was great although basic, I'll reserve my comments about putting gold-leaf on top of ordinary butter Toc'in Braide: 0/5, dish was a few notches beyond overseasoned, kitchen definitely did not taste it before sending it Agnolotti: 1/5, undercooked pasta, overcooked tough & overseasoned rabbit, vegetarian version with potatoes was not particularly good and it had the very not-vegetarian lardo on it. Artichoke was excellent. Porcini Canederli: 3/5, dumpling & greens were unique and delicious, excellent earthy tones. Broth was decent, morels were salt-bombs Agnello Alla Scottadito: 5/5+, both the Lamb and the zucchini were the best dishes we had at Frasca Porcini Canederli: 3.5/5, broth, dumpling, and greens were spot-on Rabarbaro: 3/5, some great components (excellent consommé) but overall unremarkable Espresso: excellent beans, but the shot was under-extracted and sour Krug Grand Cuvée: I'm in love, thank you for introducing us.

The prices are high, yes, but the food was excellent and the service wonderful. We did the 6 course with wine pairing, and our total bill ended up around $600. This was a last minute reservation and we were surprised by how thoughtful the preparation was for our anniversary celebration. They even had ‘happy anniversary’ printed on the menu, and a special dessert at the end. There was one dish that I didn’t absolutely love, and I had no complaints about it, but they brought me out an alternative dish without me even requesting it. All the food was lovely and I’d recommend the chef tasting menu with wine pairings.

My husband and I recently visited Frasca on Saturday night to try this highly praised establishment. We both ordered the 4 course dinner with some add ons (~$150/ person with the upgrades). Our total bill with food and drinks was 400. Overall the food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our only minor comment for the chef would be to add finishing salt to brighten the flavors of the first course (lobster & crudo dishes). The atmosphere however was a different story and the reason for our lower overall rating. The server that took our food order was cold and unwelcoming (we did not get his name). The next server, Victor, was absolutely amazing - very friendly and attentive. When the waiter took our food orders my husband mentioned a gluten sensitivity and then requested to order the salmon. The salmon comes with farro (which we missed). The waiter essentially told us to swap main courses because of this. This was a bit frustrating to not have any alternatives presented. He also asked my husband if he wanted a beverage but never returned to take his drink order. So we placed that drink order with Victor. Since we seemed to have 2 servers it was a bit confusing. But I bring this up to point out the unwelcoming demeanor of the gentleman who took our food order when we saw him acting more friendly with other tables. He seemed much more interested in the tables with larger groups (or maybe those ordering the more expensive 6 course menu). Lastly the overall vibe felt really stuffy and the managers (I think there were two on duty) never stopped by to ask how our meal was. The male manager walked by our table a few times but again never stopped to check in. The female manager was very friendly when we left and offered to put my coat on. So overall the front of house team was very hit or miss. We want to thank and commend Victor - he absolutely needs a raise!!! Unfortunately we’ll not be returning due to the atmosphere of this restaurant.

Great food, great service, very interesting menu. It was quite expensive for the food and wine though ($200-$300 per person). It's a little on the high side which is why 4 stars instead of 5. Very good presentation but it's not the best atmosphere I've been to at a restaurant in Denver, but it definitely was the most expensive. 🤷

Obvious from before we even entered the restaurant why this place earned a Michelin star. Each course was presented in a perfect way and they even managed to accommodate for my vegan mother for Italian food!!! The wagyu was clearly A5, the staff was happy to talk to us (shoutout to Connor) and every dish was simply mastered to the fullest of its potential. Super comforting environment as well. Well done Colorado!

We attended the guest chef event with Ludo Lefebvre and had the wine accompaniment. Every single component of our meal was absolutely stellar. Each dish was executed as close to perfection as a couple of amateurs were able to judge and some of the bites of food were an event within the larger event. Mr. Stuckey was a gracious host, stopping by our table to check on us. Chef Ludo was also gracious enough to stop by our table and chat with us for a few minutes, as well. All in all, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Frasca deserves its reputation and Michelin star. Well done.

This place only offers prix fixe tasting menus (basic (4 courses) or more elaborate (7 courses). And it's not bad as far as tasting menus go. If you've never been before, you should definitely go, but is it a "go back again" place? I'm not sure. We're not "value" focused diners. Quality is more important to us than quantity, so we wouldn't automatically rate a restaurant lower simply because the portions were small. But I have to say, the portions are really very small, even for this sort of elevated fine dining experience. Portion-wise, even compared to Michelin star restaurants we have visited in Italy and France. Nevertheless, my review was is more for the taste - what we tried was interesting but not exceptional, If I had one critique for the various dishes we tasted, I would say that not everything needs to be a small island floating in a bright colored soupy sauce. That is not the only way to do culinary plating, and to see this texture and presentation repeated over courses took a little out of our experience. There was one thing that was REALLY worth writing home about. The "ciliegia" or "cherry". It is a cherry mousse and (maybe) crème anglaise in a cherry chocolate shell and a dark chocolate stem. Both presentation and taste were 11/10. If this is on the menu, order this and you will not be disappointed. My husband got some strawberry dessert thing that looked like a sad white life preserver ring floating in a red strawberry soup, and immediately tried to steal my beautiful ciliegia! But I am not so generous ;) So perhaps we will go back again, so he can order his very own. Full disclaimer, we go to Frasca's sister restaurant, Tavernetta in downtown Denver almost every other week. Tavernetta is for us, the gold standard for a quality experience in Italian dining here in Colorado. It is still fine dining, perhaps not as "experimental" leaning as Frasca, but the food is absolutely delicious and it still a very nice atmosphere. The portions are larger and you have the options of a regular a la carte menu, so we prefer it more for the whole package - atmosphere, flexibility, taste, quality and value. Still, definitely try this place out!

Amazing food, amazing service, and a stellar atmosphere. Every dish we had was Michelin star quality. The lamb was easily the best I've ever had, tender and cooked to perfection. Additionally, the chefs sent out some dishes to try that weren't even listed on the menu which was beyond a pleasant surprise. The menu may seem a bit pricey but the quality of ingredients and presentation of each dish reflects that. You can tell a lot of passion and care went into each dish sent out. Front of House staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, I'd definitely recommend this place to any friends or family who visit Boulder and would like to have a culinary experience they'll remember fondly for years.

As far as “fine dining,” there was something left to be desired. I enjoy the experience and art of fine dining and they delivered on the experience. The food was very artistic and looked pleasing but I felt the head chef’s menu wasn’t well thought out. And the food wasn’t cooked in great care. The wine list was amazing. I could tell the man who was serving and describing the wine took pride in how he put together the wine menu and though the food was not amazing the wine paired with the food was wonderful. I try and fine dine at least twice a year as the season changes and I’ve spent the same amount of money at a few different places and left feeling like I just experienced art and delicious food. I typically leave and share the pictures and experience with people for years. I won’t be doing that with this restaurant. Overall it was a miss but they could have just had an off night.

Our first visit to Frasca was for their Valentine’s Day 4-course dinner menu. The menu line up was built for a mature palette. Items ranged from Uni to edible gold. Our server(s) we’re very accommodating to my wife’s dietary restrictions despite not having given them an advanced notice. The portions were perfectly sized and paced throughout the evening. When we finished our meal, we were in fact, full. Despite the high ticket cost, a trip to the dormitory will leave you feeling peace as you walk by the multiple James Beard nominations and awards hanging on the wall. They say you eat with your eyes first. Hopefully the pictures I took will allow you to do exactly that. It’s one of those places you go to where you are constantly smiling because it feels like a new and amazing flavor you’ve never had before. While we were unable to partake in the wine pairing, I was able to enjoy the Penicillin cocktail as well as the Rye option. Both were outstanding. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a fine dining experience where the food tastes as good as it looks. The one “con” I would say is that it felt like our server was absent for most of our meal. Instead, we got more direct service from what felt like our main servers assistant. We also got great service from someone who appeared to be either a floor manager or GM. Either way, everyone was extremely kind and knowledgeable, they left us alone while we were in the middle of eating, and each person who delivered an item explained each dish in intricate detail. We will definitely be coming back again soon! Thank you for the great evening.

Is did a stage here a few months back in the kitchen and was blown away with this place. I could not stop thinking about how great the food was so I decided to come in tonight and do the chef’s tasting menu. Let me tell ya it’s worth it. There’s times when you’re just left speechless. Picked up the cook book and love it!

Fine dining the way it’s meant to be. Michelin starred and James Beard Award winner - well deserved honors. We loved our tasting menu with wine pairing experience at Frasca from start to finish. Everything was exquisite!

This is my fav fine dining in all of Colorado. Never had a bad meal here. Service is over the top. Be prepared it’s pricey but worth it. We enjoy the Quattro Chef’s tasting option it’s more than enough. Cheers.

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The entire team was very warm and engaging, the space was beautiful, and the food was amazing. And the wine!!! So impressed with the wine list and the suggested pairings. We were celebrating a special occasion and everyone went above and beyond. We had a blast and will definitely be back - thank you to everyone at Frasca!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. We felt our celebration was worthy of a Michelin star. The food lived up to its star and the wait staff was very attentive. The atmosphere is full of light and is welcoming but not what I would refer to as romantic. The best tables are those that are straight back from the entrance against the wall. You have a full view of the restaurant. For us it was a once in a lifetime experience being retired, comfortable but not wealthy.

The food, drinks, and service were excellent! I recommend sitting at the bar as it was a fun experience. You can tell the bar staff really enjoy what they do and it was cool watching them make the drinks.
