Delicious sushi from experienced and professional (but friendly) chefs with seating options both at the bar (if you want to watch the Sushi be made through little glass window-dividers on the counter) and the tables (if you'd like a traditional seat in the atmosphere). There are also many yummy non-sushi options from the kitchen- my partner (a non sushi gal) got chicken yakisoba and she loved it! Would definitely come again 👍

Called at 8:10 pm to place a pick up order on a Friday night, was asked to hold so they could "check if we're still doing pick-ups" ... They close at 10 pm. Order wasn't put in, so I'm writing this as I wait for my sushi to be made, as if I walked in and placed the order, you know, the exact opposite of a call ahead process. Hopefully the food is worth it. Update: it wasn't. This was a $19 sushi roll that looks like a $5 grocery store roll, never been more disappointed with a restaurant in my life. This is a meal you eat over a trash can or a sink in a rush, not a dinner.

Such a cute spot off of pearl street. Loved how authentic it was and our server was very helpful. Only complaint was that the spicy tuna roll was too spicy, the spice overtook the flavor. I still want to come back and try more :)

Incredibly good sushi, excellent atmosphere, great service, and reasonable prices. I will definitely be back any time I'm in Boulder!

Wonderful experience here. It is the first sushi place to open in Boulder 37 years ago. The food was very fresh and well presented. My partner and I sat at the sushi bar and you can order as you finish each roll. We ordered the Hamachi Nigiri, Boulder roll , z no 9, and premium firecracker roll. For desserts, green tea and mango mochi.

The atmosphere of the place was welcoming. I order both the appetizer and sushi main plate. It was a great experience trying out different items on the menu.

Amazing sushi, so tasty. The decor inside is really warm and welcoming. The sushi was average priced. The servers are very friendly but I feel like if you need faster service definitely sit at the bar- when we came in (group of 4 at 530) there weren't a ton of people there a d we ordered mostly sashimi but everything took around 40 minutes. Worth the wait for how good it was! Just plan accordingly. The soda options are good and the yuzu-rita was tasty. Dont miss happy hour! And if you're celebrating a Birthday you should tell them for sure ;)

The food can be really great and the staff can be nice. I’ve been in here a few times over the months and the wait times can be quite sporadic. I went for a pick up that wasn’t ready when I arrived. It took an additional 30 or so minutes. I asked if I could leave and get a refund, but they convinced me to wait. No gestures of kindness, just a sorry and forgetting to give me chop sticks somehow. This was just for 2 orders of sushi rolls, nothing extravagant. Not sure I can recommend this place on the service but the food is OK. I think Boulder has better with similar prices and more consistent service.

Terrible experience! Horrible customer service. Poor attention to our order/requests (missing food). We had a gift certificate for $100 that they would not honor, accommodate or make any effort to support. They claim because it's new owners (in spite of purchasing all the debts and liabilities), the paper was worthless. No effort to provide is some compromise, no offering to comp something, not even the chip sticks or soy sauce (that part is a joke). But, in all honesty, the staff nor the manager offered anything as a gesture. Had we not provided a CC in advance when making the order, we would have just walked out and left then with the partial order. Don't patronize bad behavior

Sushi rolls were ok but our Okonomiyaki was absolutely burnt. When we complained to our waiter about it, he said it was “authentically Japanese method that allows them to cook squid thoroughly”. Overall, a big disappointment.

I found the food to be decent but not exceptional. The portion sizes were notably small for the high price per item. After being informed that take-out wasn't an option, I opted to dine-in. Ended up waiting 45 minutes for my order after the water was dropped off and order was placed. After waving down staff I was told my meal was being plated...then requested it to be packed for take-out due to the near hour I had been there already. For what you get for the price and the long wait, proceed with caution and an open schedule.

I was hesitant in having sushi being so far away from the ocean, but this place really nailed it. I had the Boulder roll, salmon avocado & rainbow roll, accompanied by a small hot sake. All rolls were excellent and tasted incredibly fresh! I very much appreciate the hospitality I received here. ありがとう ☺️

this place is one of if not the best sushi places in boulder I have been here a multitude of times and have never had a bad moment. the service is amazing and the food always tastes great. They also have some rather unique dishes and areas in the building such as the tea house table in a small room in the back.

The sushi was good but I thought it was a little overpriced. Service was fine but the restaurant atmosphere was cool. They had some daily specials that were good and worth checking out.

The cutest, most fun sushi place in Boulder. Sushi is delicious and staff is amazing. Sushi Zanmai is always a good time 🤩

The sushi tastes good but not great. Sushi can be costly but this was more than expected for the quality. The inside space is tight with tables very close to each other. It's a very casual environment and not high end.
