Would visit this place for the ambience! The coffee was good too. But it's just an amazing cafe with a great collection of books.

Eclectic vibe with great seating options, both indoors and outside on the back patio area. Coffee and pastries are tasty too! Altogether neat spot; you can often catch local artists at work as well.

Loved this place. It was such a great spot to land at after walking around boulder. There’s some outdoor seating and the matcha was yummy. Plus good book selection!!

Great coffee, great books. Whoever is booking the live music is doing a great job, too. The Burney Sisters put on the best live show I’ve seen in Boulder in years. Can’t ask for much more from a spot like this.

Haven’t seen such a cute little place in any other town! Lovely corner with great coffee and an amazing vibe! The seating is lovely and gives vintage feels! Surely give it a try and enjoy going through their bookstore while you garb their amazing coffee!

My friend and I took a break from our work on the mall and when to have a drink at Trident. This was my first visit and I had no idea that such a cute little bookstore and coffee shop existed. They have a nice covered outside area where they have live music as well. I'm so glad I was introduced to this place and what definitely be back to visit again.

Super lovely cafe and baristas! Could have easily spent a whole day in the bookstore, left with more books than I came in for. Guy running the register was very helpful 🤖

Really cool shop. Been here a few times and had enjoyed the experience before. Went in a few days ago and the folks behind the counter were pretty rude. The house chai tasted like a nothing drink. The only thing I could taste from my drink was the burnt shot of espresso that was added to it. My partner had a chai without a shot and it was very bland. Pastry was okay. Pretty unimpressed.

Trident Cafe and Bookstore is a quintessential taste of Boulder, Colorado, blending the charm of a bookshop with the delightful choice of sipping wine or beer in one section or enjoying coffee and pastries in the attached storefront. The fusion of these elements creates a unique and inviting atmosphere. One of the standout features of Trident is their commitment to art and culture. The local art displays adorning the coffee shop's walls add a touch of creativity and authenticity to the space. It's a place where you can not only read but also appreciate local talent. The Friday night live music on the back patio adds a fantastic layer of entertainment to the experience. It's the perfect way to unwind after a long week, surrounded by good books, good company, and good tunes. The staff at Trident is not only friendly but also helpful. They enhance the welcoming ambiance, making you feel right at home. However, it's worth noting that due to its popularity, there may be a short wait at the coffee bar. Fortunately, the wait for a beer or wine on the bookstore side is typically negligible, providing flexibility in your choice of refreshments. I personally frequent Trident to meet friends and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. It's a place that encapsulates the spirit of Boulder, making it a must-visit spot for locals and visitors alike. If you're looking for a unique and enriching experience, Trident Cafe and Bookstore should be at the top of your list.

The coffee is great and the outdoor garden is charming. But they seemed so busy that they had no time to be kind.

Stopped in on a whim, I love a good bookstore/coffee shop. Picked up a few books and got the house chai, it tasted phenomenal and wasn't expensive. Staff was great as well!

Excellent meeting place. Excellent coffee, wine, books. Love the outside tables on the street. People working there are so nice. Mickey. We bike there. Edit: last night on the west end of the pearl st. Mall was a perfect mellow time. It was a laid back coffee watching some young people playing rapid chess with a timer. Trident was a great backdrop. It was closed at nine pm. The only issue is that it wasn't open till 10! Otherwise perfect time. Mickey

Great book selection. Best coffee so far in Boulder, very balanced. Their hot latte is in glass?

Love this place been coming here for years. For the vibes, book selection (favorite book store in town) sometimes just to hang out - they even have curated night events! The tea selection is world class, today Dillon made me the best matcha latte I think I ever had which pushed me to write this review… Always setting the tone with inspiring individuals at its helm. A place keeping Boulder’s magic alive and well.

My favorite and I have tried them all as a digital nomad and local photographer. The coffee is tops, and the place is owned by many of the staff to make this a truly community place. The tables out front give it a European feel and the secret garden out back is magical.

Great coffee shop/bookstore. Good rate for espresso drinks and very cozy. Haven’t checked out the book selection but looks interesting. Free parking in the area on Saturday and Sundays so come on the weekend! Will come again. Highly recommend.

Delicious pastries! We heard about this little joint while hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Coffee was equally excellent, it was such a neat little location, both inside and outside seating. Attached was a cute bookstore. Such a great spot, highly recommend this spot! No pets allowed though!

I was amazed with how large the cafe is. There are plenty of tables indoors and in the back patio which is half covered. The atmosphere is charming with a wooden interior and walls lined with bookshelves and artwork. A great place to relax and work. The coffee was delicious too.
