Food was very good, service was ok, not the greatest but good. However, they added on a 20% tip into the check & didn’t tell me. Of course I added a tip onto that because I didn’t know & then realized it a week later when filing receipts. It’s too bad they do this because the food was great but I won’t be frequenting Black Cat again because I felt cheated. That’s just plain wrong. Even if they had told me they were automatically adding that in I still would not be a fan. If you guys want your staff to make more money then simply raise your prices 20% & give all your staff a 20% raise. Then the customer knows it’s included in the price beforehand. Tips should not be automatic. By definition, it’s a tip & should be at the customers discretion based on the service provided.

We did the Chef's tasting menu and it was really good. And it was priced super well imo. The beer menu was decent as well. The food was all very good, I could go down each one, but apparently it changes so often that it wouldn't matter. Check out the pix though to take a look at it. And definitely get the chef's taster if that's your jam.

Yup, loved it. Most delicious meal we've had in a long time! An amazing wine selection. We ordered an app, entree and desert. All three courses were great! The lamb chop was the best piece of meat I might have every put in my mouth. The ambiance is cozy and romantic. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It was a great dining experience!!

Everything was Perfect. One cannot fault anything on the tasting menu, at least the one we had. 6 courses (+1 for 7 courses for our Valentine's Day dinner) and I cannot isolate one as a favorite as all courses were unbelievably delicious and unique. For those complaining about price in reviews of this restaurant... forget about price because this is a restaurant where you go for amazing food and an amazing experience. $87 for the tasting menu is in my opinion a fantastic deal, because you know that you're getting the best that the chef has to offer. Furthermore, 6 courses at $87 equates to the price of a nice appetizer at a upscale restaurant. Of course the portions are smaller but it's a 6 course tasting menu, what do you expect. Don't be fooled by any if the reviews that are not five stars. Black Cat is superb.

Good food / Turnip soup and bison. Priced right for its offering. Low key, great service, and chef will take any special request

One of the best local, fine dining experiences I've had. Last night, my wife and I visited for our wedding anniversary. The staff made us feel special and like they were invested in our celebration. They toasted us with champagne and decorated our desserts with happy anniversary messaging. Above and beyond customer service. Food was exceptional all night during every course. Highly recommend 👌🏾

I had high expectations for this restaurant and was disappointed with the food. The salad greens were wilted and the meat was undercooked. Not worth the cost. The service was pretty good, but we won't be returning soon.

I have to admit I have been a huge fan of the Black Cat for years but the farm dinners raise it up to another level. The food is fantastic as always, but now you are in an amazing location with wonderful views and it just makes the whole experience magic and in the days of Covid you are also kept a good distance from other diners. Value is always hard to quantify when it comes to a restaurant but for the price of admission, we got a welcome drink a welcome dish of olives and beans and bread.

One of my fondest experiences. I chose the wine pairing with courses. I don't let many pair for me but their wine director do so and he was wonderful. An expert comes out and explains every course. Even the owner comes out and explains the farm-to-table entre. This place is one hell of a good ride. Go there and bring a wallet full of hundreds. It will be worth it.

This is a must-go-to place. We were a party of 7 celebrating a private wedding dinner. We had the sunset view of the mountains and farm. You hear of farm to table in many places, here the table is in the farm. Don't miss it. For $80 we were served multiple courses with bread that was milled on premises. The kitchen is attached to what looks like an old tool shed giving the place a rustic look. Each dish was as great as the previous one. The one miss is their high priced wine list. (and I know and love wine) We had a OK sparkling rose to make a toast but it was not worth $72. Their varieties of various micro brews were spot on with fair prices. Service was flawless and caring. We will put this on the list to go back to when visiting family.

One of the best food and alcohol experiences I've had. The green chili was outstanding. The cocktails were exquisite, I love being surprised, and I love that I ordered the bartenders choice, was asked my preferences and got an incredibly crafted drink. Then I asked for an entirely different flavor profile and got a delicious surprise. The vegetables were truly fresh and impeccably prepared. The meats were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Among the finest dining I've had in Colorado.

Black Cat is the more upscale sister restaurant to the Bramble and Hare, which is next door. My husband and I came here for my birthday and we were not disappointed. We tried the chef's tasting menu, where the chef chooses each of 6 courses (they do take into account dietary restrictions). Each dish was delicious! They were small portions but we were both full before the courses were done. We had a tomato based gazpacho, lobster, foie gras (not our fave but we are not foie gras level foodies), eggplant, sea bass, and salmon. We did ask at the beginning if dessert was part of the 6 courses and were told yes. What we didn't realize is that dessert is not counted as one of the courses, as in other restaurants we've visited. So if you do the tasting menu, keep in mind it's 6 courses plus dessert. They knew it was my birthday so they gave me a special dessert with chocolate, panna cotta, and BEETS! I've never had beets in a dessert before - it was SO GOOD! The wait staff and chef were all very attentive and friendly, and explained each dish as they came out. Definitely put this restaurant on your list of places to visit, you won't regret it.

Bramble & Hare Review - NOT Black Cat I made my birthday dinner reservations and let them know dinner was to celebrate a birthday. I started with the sautéed peppers and aioli. The peppers were dripping in oil but I was really hungry and worked my way through them, a mistake. My wife had the Summer squash soup which she commented tasted like zucchini soup which need some seasoning and salt. Not a good start. Entry's were the Pan-Seared Salmon Akmolinka, Spaghetti Squash, Leaks, Asparagus, and Beurre Blanc. The spaghetti squash was close to mush, leak were over cooked until gray and both were oily. Salmon was perfect, go figure. On the side of the plate were cold tomatoes. How does that fit? Dinner outside of the Salmon was terrible. We took desert home and it was pretty good, no t brilliant. Not a word about a birthday. So lack of attention to detail. All in all my birthday dinner was a train wreak. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and the Salmon for $250.00. I can shop Whole Food and cook it myself for $50.00. We will not be going back anytime soon. We have had good meals there before but this was a disaster and expensive. Cannot recommend, 2 Stars is a gift.

We love it here for a wonderful date night. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious, and the wine pairings were delightful.

What a wonderful experience we had there. Their wine Director is excellent. The food is out of this world, farm to table. They explain every course so you understand how it’s made and what it consists of. They teach as they serve. The manager comes out to your table on the main course and explains that. This place is rather expensive. I wish I could go more often. This is a fantastic restaurant that truly deserves five stars in a bigger way than Google can offer.

Great high end restaurant. We went here as a group of 7 and were very pleased with the food and the offerings. Desserts were amazing. Pricey but good.
