the food here is about as authentic as you can get in Boulder. one of my only complaints that it's a bit cramped and hard to move (but that may have just been where I was sitting). The menu is huge, almost like reading an essay! I recommend getting any of the antipasti (the eggplant is simply amazing). The waiters are super sweet, even when they seemed a bit stressed. I loved everything I got but the rotolo, but that dish doesn't reflect on everything. The creme brulee might have been the best I've ever had! Pricey, but I would say it's worth it.

This place was terrible. I ordered a pasta, that most of the broccoli was stems and the chicken looked canned. Pasta was under done. And the whole dish had no taste. My son ordered a pizza took 1 bite and did not like, too me it seemed a little doughy. Other son ordered spaghetti and meatballs he took a few bites, but was not a fan of the sauce. It tasted off and he could live off noodles. My mother ordered a pasta and her shrimp was was over cooked and sauce was really runny. Was not offered anything off or anything else. Paid $75.00 for food we did not eat or even take with us. Let's not forget how warm the water was and it's 90 degrees outside. Please offer ice. We have been walking around all day.

When my friend and I visited Sforno Trattoria Romana in Boulder, CO, we went in with certain expectations, driven by the restaurant's traditional look. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite measure up. The food was middle of the road - not terrible, but not impressive either. We particularly noticed the pizza dough, which was tough to chew through. On the positive side, the environment was nice and gave off an authentic Italian vibe. However, the service left a lot to be desired. There were times when we noticed the staff hanging out in the back instead of being attentive to their tables. Our food sat by the window for a good seven minutes before being brought to us, which was a bit frustrating. The lag in service didn't stop there, as it took another 10-15 minutes to receive our check. In conclusion, while Sforno Trattoria Romana has a nice environment, the overall experience didn't live up to our expectations. Based on our experience, I personally wouldn't be eager to go back.

Great food. The Lasagna is my wife’s favorite, I enjoyed a tasty pizza with a nice bottle of Brunello. Kids both really enjoyed their food as well. Cute place, cozy yet very nice. Charismatic owner brought out a couple Grappa’s for us to try. First time in, excellent spot. Will be back!

Quaint setting. Felt like I was in a trattoria in Italy. Gracious, attentive waitress, Megan. Delicious spaghetti carbonara!

I don’t know what to say, but this place was terrible. We ordered the veal and then a chicken dish. First off the portions are gigantic which sounds good but it usually points to low quality food which was very apparent. The gnocchi tasted like it was frozen and the veal was definitely flash frozen and then deep fried. The chicken dish we had was literally swimming in sauce and oil to the point that my wife couldn’t even eat it and it was straight nauseating. Once we told the server that we couldn’t eat it because it’s swimming in oil and gross her response was “do you want a box to take it home?” …..uhhh clearly the lights are on but nobody is home. The manager only approved 70% off the dish even though we only ate two bites of it, the excuse was that we didn’t send it back earlier. Well our server only delivered our food and then checked on us after 20 mins, horrible service, horrible food, horrible management. Go somewhere else.

According to our server, Sforno has been on Pearl Street for over 30 years, and under the current ownership for about 8 years. Can't believe this was the first time anyone from my family has dined here! The restaurant was already packed for our 4:45pm reservation time, which is always a good sign. Did not disappoint: all of the dishes were amazing! The linguine vongole was delicious, tons of flavor without being overly salty. My family loved the lasagna, it looks deceptively small, but the hidden meat in the sauce made it a very filling dish. They have happy hour specials all week until 6pm for both food and drink options, so we shared a delicious pizza and I enjoyed a refreshing cocktail. Can’t go wrong with a tiramisu to cap off a meal. Tables are fitted a little bit close together, which reminds me of NYC dining, but the decor was very cute and charming with a wonderful ambiance. So glad we finally made it to this wonderful spot!

Mediocre food. Overcooked penne that fell apart. Super cheesy dishes. Large portions. Squash blossoms were “tempura fried” on the menu but actually just deep fried and very oily. Quite expensive for the quality. Eggplant was in chunks and either very over cooked and soft or almost crunchy. Service was friendly. Nice atmosphere and location of the restaurant. The inside looks like a courtyard. Good complimentary bread. The cannelloni was more shaped like ravioli- we wonder if we even got the right dish.

Sforno Trattoria Romana in Boulder is a lovely Italian restaurant. The architecture and decor made me feel like I was in Italy. The lobster ravioli was delicious in a lovely cream sauce. The salad was crisp, containing a variety of delicate flavors such as pears and candied walnuts.

A lovely Trattoria. The appetizers were delicious . I recommend the asparagus with prosciutto. Holy Wow. The wait service was wonderful. My salmon ... cooked with love. Get in here.

One lunch, but I loved my butter and sage Gnocchi - definitely my top 3 - maybe a little salty, but I've never been a fan of salt. The panini chicken was a little dry (I didn't try it, the other foodie told me) but the bread on the panini was fantastic, as was the starter bread and dipping sauce (olives, and oil is my guess). I'll definitely come back to try out a few more items...

Best pizza I've ever had. Great mix of salad and molten mozzarella. They were over busy, and we were seated next to an authentic brick oven, with associated heat. Decent meal, and positive vibes. To keep your cool, you might want to angle for the outdoor dining.

Solid and eclectic Italian fare. Pretty Americanized take on Italian. Pretty touristy. Lovely ambience inside and great patio dining outside on Pearl Street.

Sforno is absolutely amazing. This restaurant is out of this world and is beyond incredibly delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anybody in the area. This is a must go if you are visiting boulder. Absolutely everything on the menu is delicious, made fresh and ready to go. If you don't try any other restaurant in the area, make sure you try this one.

Food came out within five minutes, everything at different temps (some things were boiling hot, others lukewarm, one verging on cold). Tried a few dishes; the bolognese smelled and tasted like wet dog. Great service & drinks, otherwise. Pricey, but felt cheap… I’ll try em again somewhere down the road just to see if it was an off day.

My husband and I stopped here lunch. It was great! We shared a yummy golden beet salad. He had the Gnocchi with 4 cheese which was good and I had the mozzarella jalepeno pizza with the Cesar salad on top ( yes in top). I don't Remember what it was called, but it was Amazing!! Such a unique combo of flavors. Service was excellent and we would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

To start the atmosphere is absolutely amazing! I’ve traveled to Italy and it truly feels like you're eating in a restaurant in Rome. The issue we had with this restaurant was the food and service. The food wasn’t very good, some of it was cold while other parts were hot. It didn’t feel like there was anything different from this food vs something like Olive Garden. The service was very spotty, when we sat down to eat there was a dirty fork on the table along with missing silverware. On top of that it was very hard getting the waiters attention. Overall 4/10

While in Bolder, we tried Sforno Trattoria for dinner. I tried their lasagna and was very disappointed. For an Italian restaurant, this was the worst lasagna I've ever had. It was primarily pasta with a cheap tomato sauce. Would not recommend.

Food came out within five minutes, everything at different temps (some things were boiling hot, others lukewarm, one verging on cold.) Tried a few things across the menu; the bolognese smelled and tasted like wet dog. Great service & drinks, otherwise. Pricey, but felt cheap… I’ll try em again somewhere down the road just to see if it was an off day.

This place isn’t great. The service was alright, looks like it’s run by college students and we could tell they were having a really good time together. The food is another story. The asparagus starter tasted awful. The sauce was great, but the veggie itself tasted like it had been sitting for a week and the meat was really tough and chewy. The calamari, which is understandably difficult to perfect, was super rubbery. The flavor of the sauce on the asparagus and the breading on the calamari was really good, though. The bread isn’t warm and also tasted like it has been sitting for a few days. The olive oil that it’s served with was FANTASTIC! The lemonade was barely palatable- it tasted like the lemon juice had gone the bad kind of sour. It was a weird roller coaster of flavor at the start of dinner. The pasta entrees were all REALLY good though- no complains there. I wouldn’t stop in again.

I went there with my friends. The staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. The drinks and the appetizers were great. We had the calamari and the burrata. The calamari was cooked to perfection. I ordered the creamy seafood pasta and felt it to be a little bland. My friend like the risotto. It is a good place to come for a date or an occasion and right in pearl street.
