The fact that their moto literally is “890 sq. ft. of Reality Surrounded by Boulder” should tell you everything you need to know. An alternative could be, “The breakfast we wanted, the diner Boulder needs”. Perfect diner pancakes. Overheard conversation at the table next to us included; “Of course I’m going to study abroad… all my other doctors said it’s fine.”

While visiting Boulder, a local friend took us here for brunch. It is certainly a popular spot! And deserving of it too! The food was terrific 😙👌 I ordered the egg burrito and loved it, especially the chili on top. It was very busy, but we were seated and served quickly, and our waitress handed the fast pace with a very friendly and hospitable demeanor.

Wow! In Boulder for a wedding. Found this place on Yelp. Delicious fresh food! Very friendly wait staff. Fast service. If there is a line at door it moves very fast. This place must be a local favorite as the owner knows everyone by name. Just had our third breakfast there. And going back for more. It's a delight to find a place like this between all of the vegetarian foo foo restaurants. They do have an extensive gluten free selection including pancakes, breads and hamburger buns! Just what my son's gluten free GF needed. Wish we had a place like this back home.

Quick quality breakfast before heading up to hike in rocky mountain national park. Breakfast was very solid. Would be a frequent go to if we lived in the area. Denver omelet was very tasty and packed with ingredients. Biscuits and gravy was also good. Hope to visit again soon and stop back in.

If you love to visit a local favorite, go here for breakfast. So good and super friendly staff. It was very busy the Sunday we visited, but we quickly got in a booth for 2. Counter seemed to always have at least a spot or two, if you like to watch the action.

Amazing diner experience with great food. Servers are always kind and good is consistently good. Both breakfast and lunch are great options, and so far I have not had anything bad from the menu. Easily one of my favorite spots in Boulder.

First, let me say that this place definitely satisfied my hunger for an old-school diner. I was very pleased with everything except for… I don’t know what happened, but my hashbrowns were actually quite awful. Reading other reviews and it seems to be out of the norm for them. But there was no crispiness. It was just a big pile of mushiness. The service was great but that’s such a big part of the breakfast meal that I’m afraid I won’t be back.

Classic diner. Food was simple, but tasty. Employees were chill and friendly. We even had a view of the elite Bolder Boulder races as they went by. Would recommend for anyone that's looks for an efficient meals with no frills.

The sure did cram lots of deliciousness into such a cozy spot. I had the pancake combo, and the pancake was as big as the plate. I would come back tomorrow if I wasnt leaving town. For fun, they holler out "Village Virgins" for people stopping by for their 1st visit.

Amazing diner! We stopped here for breakfast while driving through and I’m so glad we went here, as we were originally going to try and go to The Buff but it was way to busy. The food was so delicious, cheap, and the staff had a great energy. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Breakfast Burrito, Great Selection, and Friendly Service! I recently visited the Village Coffee Shop in Boulder, Colorado, and I must say, their breakfast burrito was absolutely excellent! It was smothered with flavorful green chili that added a delightful kick to every bite. This alone made my visit worthwhile and deserving of four stars. One thing that impressed me about the Village Coffee Shop was their extensive selection. They had a variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a fan of traditional breakfast classics or looking for healthier alternatives, this place has you covered. Moreover, the prices were quite reasonable, offering great value for the quality and quantity of food they serve. While the coffee was average, it certainly did not detract from the overall experience. It complemented the meal well and was served piping hot. Though not exceptional, it was still a decent cup of joe to start the day. The service at the Village Coffee Shop was worth highlighting. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and efficient. They greeted me with a warm smile, took my order promptly, and ensured I had everything I needed throughout my visit. Their attentiveness added to the overall positive vibe of the place. In terms of ambiance, the Village Coffee Shop has a cozy and laid-back atmosphere. It's a perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or just a quick bite and leave. The rustic interior and comfortable seating create a welcoming environment that invites you to linger. In summary, the Village Coffee Shop in Boulder, Colorado, exceeded my expectations with its excellent breakfast burrito smothered in flavorful green chili. The selection and prices were commendable, providing options for various preferences and budgets. While the coffee was average, the friendly service made up for it. If you're in the area and craving a satisfying breakfast, this spot is worth a visit!

I have been going here since the late 90's and the atmosphere and location has hardly changed. This is the best place to catch breakfast and wake up in Boulder. Everyone on staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The type of establishment where you walk in and take a seat wherever you want, you will be seen to with a cup of coffee, a warm greeting, and a menu within a minute of your arrival. I am particularly fond of the chicken-fried steak - one of the best I've ever found nation wide at an unbeatable price! If you decide to visit, you'll find yourself coming back over and over again.

Great little no frills diner! I got the veggie omelette with blueberry pancakes which was delicious. Friendly service, food came out really fast and good coffee. Couldn't ask for more 🙂

The Village coffee shop on Folsom in Boulder is a city staple. Amazing little diner tucked in a great location. They have great food for a great price, and the staff is amazing. They also did more than that. In the wake of the Marshall rd fire, in which thousands of people were displaced and impacted, they offered a free breakfast to the first responders and those that were affected. This helps support the community around them, which is an amazing thing in this time of need. It is amazing to see, in this day and age. I can't thank them enough for what they did for me and my roommates.

Visiting Boulder for the first time, looked for a “breakfast place near me.” Google said come here- so we did. 5-star Reviews well earned! Great food, great service, great prices. Omelets were loaded with stuff (I had the bacon and cheese) but were nice and thin. (I hate spongy omelets.) Totally recommend!
