The TAJ catered a party we had at our home. The food was SUPERIOR!!!!! The entire staff, especially Sangay, were incredibly helpful, kind, responsive and professional. They provided delivery including beautiful serving dishes which kept the food at a perfect temperature for hours. Not only was the food delicious, but the pricing was very reasonable. We have also eaten in at the restaurant and ordered take-out on numerous occasions! This is the BEST Indian food in town. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Met my son for dinner - used to come for the buffet when he was at CU. Sadly buffet only at the weekends, however the new combo plate is excellent. Staff/owners are lovely, food is tasty, well presented and lots of it. Definitely remains a favourite spot in Boulder!

The owners are amazing and go above and beyond to cater to all food preferences… we love the curry’s and the view of the Flat Irons over dinner never disappoints. Quaint, quiet and cozy!

This was our first time dining at Taj and we loved it! The food was authentic and delicious. The ambiance was peaceful and the service was spectacular. Laxmi our server was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We really enjoyed talking with her and learning about the family business that’s been operating for the last 26 years in Boulder! It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend!

We tried this place because it's the only Indian restaurant in town that still offers a buffet, and we're glad we did. The food is amazing and it has a great view of the mountains. The staff were also very friendly and answered all our food allergy questions.

Visited Boulder from Colorado Springs to see the Buffs. I stopped here on the way back and had a phenomenal dining experience. Staff was kind and courteous, and attended to all my needs, despite the busyness of the hour (I have some lengthy dietary restrictions). Atmosphere was calm--the decorations were great. Food was delicious--it was authentic and flavorful. Normally I don't leave reviews, but this was a noteworthy experience.

I went here to take my parents around Boulder, and the food was great. The staff were very considerate of my mom's allergies and were extremely nice. The Chicken tikka masala in the buffet was my favorite. It was raining, but the view of the mountains was still phenomenal.

Literally the best Indian food I’ve ever had. My family comes here every time we’re in town. The owner and her daughter are so kind and are always happy to catch up with us. Highly recommend this place!

Horrible food. Loud employee owner lady. Bland food. Entering the restaurant puts you off as strong smell of old furniture smell. (all Nepali owned are not real Indian spiced taste ) Buffet did not have any decent food and still 20 dollars plus tax plus tips. NOT WORTH. And the lady is really intimidating on buffet rules. Should not have gone there. Will not go there

This place was a really nice place. The food was cooked well. Came a reasonable time! The people were very sweet and polite! The place was beautiful. They didn't let our cups empty. I recommend this place. I would like to come back! 👍 Don't live in Colorado though.

Individual dishes are good and I didn’t get sick. Buffet is good for a buffet and the food seemed fresh enough. Waitress was rude when receiving the check, as they don’t accept Amex. Which is fine, a lot of places don’t, but she was impolite when she told me. Also, reading rules about how to use a buffet is unpleasant. It’s condescending. There is probably a better way to communicate those procedures. The view is indeed nice but the dining room is dated and the furniture is old. There were a few flies buzzing around. I don’t recommend it.

Came down from Niwot for lunch. Great view of the flatirons, the food was great and my server Sangay was very hospitable and kind. The aloo paratha was amazing and the buffet had great quality food. The restaurant felt very homely and I will definitely be back :)

Dined-in for dinner buffet the other weekend (first time in 5 years) and service/hospitality, ambiance, and quality of food is still sensational. Not too crowded, noisy or busy if you enjoy your peace and comely/family owned/family friendly establishment. Will definitely be making repeat appearances and thank you Taj Restaurant!!!

The food was phenomenally flavored and presented in a manner that very much made us feel like it was made with love. The hostess/server, Laxmi, was incredibly warm and attentive. We will for sure make this a go-to for our visits to Boulder.

The best Indian food my wife and I have had. We've been to a bunch of places in Boulder-Denver area, but nothing is as good! We love the dinner buffet, but they didn't have it on the night we went. We thought we'd be sad, but they have single person platters with basically a little buffet! Has everything my wife and I usually get when we eat the buffet. Great food, great chill music, great focus on giving guests great options during these wild times. Be back for the lunch buffet soon!

Great service and even better food! The Rai family knows how to make you feel like you’re part of it. They’ve not only been a huge part of the Boulder community, but also the Leeds community. I remember constantly going to various events at CU just to eat the food provided by them. If you ever wanna feel at home while experiencing insight into a beautiful culture, the Taj is the place to go!! You’re for sure eating a home cooked meal made with love!

This is my go to restaurant in Boulder. The food is top notch and made with love. Since 2020 and the resulting impacts, this family owned business has remained open. However, because of 2020 they have also been impacted. With grace, they have asked that customers take all they want to eat, but not waste food. They do assess a small fee if food is not consumed. I am happy to do what I can to keep them in business. Let’s help not waste food and respect the increase in costs to provide the same great food to our community. Support local.

Authentic and more than enough food to share. The taste and quality is right on the money and the staff is lovely.

The Taj is a family-owned, community gem and has been a Boulder staple for around 30+ years. So many reviews have said it all. My brief take is that the menu is incredibly delicious, and lovingly created over the years by the late and beloved owner. The family is so friendly and welcoming. Did I mention the food is delicious? I’m also super impressed with their Zero Waste policy for food. Makes so much sense in a town like Boulder. It shows how aware they are of excessive food waste and their footprint, all while encouraging mindful eating (honestly I could use more of that with my lockdown pounds). Sign me up!!! Can’t say enough good things.

Fantastic Indian food in a scenic location with magnificent views of the Flatirons. Particular favorites: the garlic naan and veggie samosas, and the various curries. The staff are warm and welcoming. We've been doing takeout from here throughout the pandemic, and we're now thrilled to be able to eat indoors in this beautiful location once more.

I ordered 12 potato breads from those people firstly the order was not the correct they haven’t gave the yogurt in that and after that they say you haven’t told us about the yogurt. Secondly I already told about the proper stuffing of and when I brought my order and open it it was too much disappointing i go all the up from Westminster to boulder but I haven’t expected that soo bad with the Coustmer service and rude and all the time she was on the phone… so don’t go there friends look any other place!
