I cannot believe this is a 3 star hotel. Motel 6 has better amenities and customer service. When I checked in I requested a late checkout of 2pm. I had to pay $30 - which is fine. The next morning, I was told that employee didn't have the authority to tell me that and they latest I could check out was 11:30am. After much arguing, I was "allowed" to stay until 2pm. When I got to my room there was no mini fridge or microwave or ice bucket. The in room phone was disconnected so I had to go all the way back to the front desk where I was told that "standard rooms" did not come with a mini-fridge or microwave. I was then told that if I wanted housekeeping to bring a mini-fridge into my room it would cost me another $30 even though I had already paid a $30 convenience fee. I refused to pay for that and demanded that a mini-fridge be brought to my room because I have medication that must be refrigerated. This has truly been a disappointing experience. I do not suggest staying at this supposed "3-star" hotel. Go to a Motel 6, you'll bet better customer service and amenities at a lower price.

This place is a scam. I booked thinking it was an "great Easter get-a-away" per their advertising. I needed to cancel due to illness and they were more than happy to cancel my reservation, but will not respond back for the refund. I canceled before 24 hours of when I was to arrive. Please contact me to refund the money for the stay that DID NOT HAPPEN. Pictures are old and fake as well. I have heard horrible things about this hotel since this experience. will not ever book here again. I also never received a confirmation. So did not see where it stated it was non-refundable. You would think during this day and age with covid, even IF that was the case that you would allow people to NOT come to you establishment if they are sick. No worries - I'll fight it through my credit card company.

This hotel is a good value for the price. It is somewhat dated and not in pristine condition, however, all the basics are provided and my spacious room, bedding and towels were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again, it is difficult to find accommodations in Boulder that are centrally located for a reasonable price and Millennium Harvest House was a good option.

Like another reviewer, I read a lot of bad reviews and was planning to cancel my reservation. I am so glad I decided not to! Yes, the hotel is older, and areas are showing their age, but the rooms are fabulous, and the location can't be beat. The bed is a true king, not a hotel king. The hotel is so quiet, I have slept incredibly well. The breakfast is generous and has items you don't normally find, like almond milk and string cheese. My husband is attending a conference so we are here for a week. I am at the hotel a lot and love it. I feel totally safe. There is a beautiful courtyard, walking trails along Boulder Creek, and shopping and restaurants are a quick walk away. The free internet is great. I have been able to work and attend Zoom meetings with no issues at all. The pool is clean and kept at a nice temperature. The people are friendly and helpful. You can tell this was quite the upscale place in its heyday. I absolutely recommend this hotel as long as you don't care about worn carpet on the stairs, some areas needing maintenance, and one non-working elevator.

The Millenium is well-situated for visiting the University and there are plenty of places for breakfast within easy walking distance. The setting along Boulder Creek is quite nice. The room I had was spacious, the beds were fine and clean. However, this hotel seems well beyond its prime. The entrance backs up to the back of Safeway and its trash bins. The doors of the entry way to the west wing, where my room was, are covered with plywood and rather sketchy, as is the elevator. An upper window was also boarded up. The front desk made no mention of these things when I checked in so I assume this is the way the hotel operates. The interior is a little dingy. The hot water in the tub in my bathroom would not stop running and as a consequence it steamed up the entire room. The only solution was to crank up the A/C all the way to dehumidify the air. Definitely not worth the price.

Old outdated building near to university at prime location. I was not aware about a complimentary breakfast at the time of booking online. I had enjoyed my stay and breakfast in peaceful atmosphere. Great Staff at reception desk! Overall excellent service and great stay for the price I had paid after comparing with other hotels at this prime location near to university, supermarket and mall.

We booked here with a last minute deal hotel hopping in CO. I booked online and had issues getting the room type I had selected but after showing her the active ad the nice manager made it right. We had a spacious room completely away from everyone with a surprising view from the guardrail up of our balcony. The sky was lovely. It's an older hotel, but you can easily appreciate it for what it once was, the garden was nice, and the room was clean. Exactly what we needed on our road trip.

Everything written in the most recent reviews are correct-boarded up windows, restaurant closed, outdoor pool closed, dirty, run-down, and inattentive front desk. The sad thing is you could tell that the motel was once great. Great location, great views, great outdoor gardens, great rooms, but that is now gone. Is it worth $200 per night? Of course not! Book one of the newer hotels to the north and walk the additional 2 blocks to the university. I do hope for a complete remodel, but it may be too late. I would like to have seen this place in its prime. In spite of the disappointing stay, I do hope that the old girl gets its face-lift. To finish with a positive, the room itself, was cleaner than the WY chain hotel we stayed in last night, and we did have hot water.

Found a discounted room here, great price for a place to stay the night. Itโ€™s an older building, so itโ€™s got a lot of 1960โ€™s character. Staff was helpful enough, but not reaching friendly level. No microwave/fridge - no continental breakfast - room was not clean - band-aid in the sheets - tub drain broken - room phone broken, couldnโ€™t reach front desk by phone anyway - parties going on - strange people walking around. Wouldnโ€™t be surprised to find out this place is haunted. Iโ€™d recommend the experience to anyone daring enough, itโ€™s got certain character you have to feel to believe.

This hotel is tired. It simply needs to be hugely updated. Everything looked old. The sliding door to my balcony barely slid. The screen for it sat leaning against the door, non-functional. The sheets were pilled and rough. The pillows stiff and cheap. The bed itself uncomfortable. The staff were really kind and helpful, but I wouldn't stay here again.

From the outside this place looked suspect. Walking down the hallways resulted in a bleak depressing 'return to college dorm' feel. Outside our room door was a massive pile of old linens, towels and garbage. Couldn't call the front desk because there was no phone in room. Open bars of soap in bathroom. Returning to front desk produced a response of "we don't do daily cleaning". Later an old phone was presented at the room door with no wall connection cable. While looking for any other decent place to stay that night, the power went out twice for about a minute each as we sat in total darkness. We left 30 minutes after check in, never to return. By far the most miserable accommodation ever.

Not sure why this hotel has such bad reviews. Sure, it is a bit dated but my room was perfectly fine, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean with good water pressure. The location is ideal and a big supermarket is literally just around the corner. Breakfast was included. Plus, it was much cheaper than any other hotels in Boulder. Would totally recommend.

The location is fantastic, I like hotels where I am walking distance to get food and convenience items and Safeway is literally across the parking lot. The hotel staff were all welcoming and friendly. The hotel also feels like it has personality and character versus the cookie-cutter sterile hotel experience.

We like staying at the Harvest House when we are in Boulder. The location is terrific, with amazing views (esp. if you can geta room in the central (original) tower), access to the Boulder Creek trail, lovely lawn out back. We have always found the rooms to be comfortable and clean, the beds comfortable and the staff decent-to-quite good. We understand that the hotel is not being refurbished because it is expected to be shut down at some point, and that shows in some of the room decor (beat up moldings, missing faceplates on outlets, no exhaust fan in the bathroom). But that is why the price is reasonable and we can stay here affordably. Recently the free breakfast has been moved to the dining area and made a bit more substantial. Good Wifi. We'll keep coming back as long as it's open!

We arrived after midnight on the day we were supposed to check-in because that's when our flight & the subsequent drive to the hotel got us there. While getting to our rooms, another guest shushed us for making noise in the hallway. I had accidentally tripped over one of our suitcases. We knew it was late & were not trying to disturb anyone, but things happen. The other guest was nasty. My room had a sink whose drain was stuck down & so I had to fish it out & coax it up in order for the used water to drain out. The toilet would not flush completely. A light fixture's electrical box was exposed. The handle of the door leading to the small balcony was broken. The rooms had an overall dingy look to them although the one I was in was clean. Our second room had a toilet that had been left unflushed prior to our arrival and there was no bolt on the door. The other guests that we did see (or hear) gave the place an additional seedy quality and feel to it. I did see more normal looking people having breakfast the next morning. I have stayed in inexpensive hotels before, but this was beyond anything I have ever experienced and we felt unsafe there. We were also in town for a special family celebration and I know if we had stayed there longer than we had to, it would have put a damper on our entire weekend. We checked out on the morning of October 7th after only being there a few hours. We were supposed to leave on October 10th. I have no idea if the hotel is going to reimburse us for the unused portion of our stay. I know they had no rooms available, but I also know that another guest needed to stay at least one extra night. We therefore know that our rooms were then available and the hotel would not have been losing any business due to our departure. I do hope the hotel does the right thing and reimburses us for the time we did not stay there. I would not recommend this hotel and I suggested to the friend who recommended it to us to never recommend it to anyone again.

The only plus to this hotel is how easy it is to get to from 36 and the campus. For $307 a night, you'd expect a lot more from this place. I was part of a wedding party for my niece, there were 7 rooms total in this party and the hotel could not accommodate putting us together, except for 2 rooms (which neither were the bride or groom.) The bride was in one wing all by herself, the groom in another and the rest of the party was in the other wing. This made for hectic coordination of getting ready and taking pictures, etc. as the wings were not close at all. The rooms were "tidy" but not clean. The platform bed looked like it had never been wiped down. The groom stayed in room 450, the lighting on the bed was literally (meaning literally) hanging out of the headboard. The other light had the electrical box hanging out, and none of them worked. The screen door in my room, 352 wouldn't open or close, so much for paying for the "garden view" room when you can't enjoy it. My niece (the Bride), her room (316) didn't have a hook on the back of the door and the closet door was stuck shut. We had no place to hang her dress. I had to steam it in the bathtub. All of the rooms were inconstant, and very outdated. The free breakfast included green banana's, hardboiled eggs, string cheese and loaves of bread. You could make pancakes or waffles I'd assume, but after only an hour of being open all the batter was already gone, and not restocked. Check in was interesting, no ID needed. They simply asked for my last name, and viola, I was checked in. When asked what time we'd check out, I indicated 3pm (as I requested late check out.) At 11:00am the Housekeeping Manager called the room and asked if we could leave any earlier. Why offer late check out if your going to be bullied to leave early anyway. The groom was told he couldn't have late check out on the actual day of the wedding, so he ended up having to come to our room to finish getting ready. The mother of the bride was also told at 11:30am that they could not honor the late check out and were asked to pack up and get out. The Bride rented a small room to host a reception after the wedding. The wedding party had to wait for over 30 minutes (with the food) to get access to the room. The hotel is old, outdated and leaving a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this location for a wedding event, ever.

The pictures donโ€™t really match the actual hotel. There was a few people at the front desk I spoke to and they werenโ€™t very friendly/welcoming. I paid extra $$ for a room with a nice view, and our view was basic, nothing special about it. They took extra $$ from me without me knowing and have yet to give it back, although they said they will. It was fine overall, I was just hoping for something a little nicer for the price I paid.

This was honestly a great stay despite being a bit odd. They had a nice little continental breakfast, and the hotel campus is beautiful. You can tell that it used to be a very high end resort, but it's a bit run down.

Got a deal on an app. 70% off. Which made this room half the price of any other hotel I could find in Boulder. The $78 I paid was right in line with expectations. A cheap and minimally comfortable room. It was a cheap place to lay my head for the evening with no overly outstanding negatives besides no snack machine. Would use again in a pinch. But not if a high quality nights rest and relaxation is a must. Clean enough not to complain about it.

The staff was friendly. The place was a mess, and there was one person staffing the entire hotel. If that person wasn't at the desk, you just waited until he showed up. Rooms weren't ready when checking in. We had to go to the desk to get pillows because the only staff member didn't have time to bring them up. For $135+ a night, I expected a decent stay.

Great location!!!!! Yes, the hotel is old and outdated, but it is kept very clean and has all of the amenities of a newer and more upscale hotel. I very much enjoyed my stay, and will definitely stay here again, even though I hear the hotel is going to be torn down. Great value and great location in the heart of Boulder.

The building is older but the room was fine. My major complaint is it is loud. I was at the end of the hallway and was constantly hearing doors opening and closing. No one seemed to be extra loud itโ€™s just the way the doors are. The restaurant was closed but they provided breakfast which was nice. The indoor pool is large but there is no hot tub and the outdoor pool is closed. Still it was a fine hotel for the price and a weekend get away.

The room was fine for it being an old hotel I was happy. When I wasn't happy about was being double charged for the room. Some of us live on a tight budget. We can't afford to just have $120 Frozen for who knows how long. I can't even begin to describe how wrong it is to inconvenience a guest on New Year's Eve by incorrectly charging them double the amount. That changed my entire evening's plan. The guy at the front desk was super apologetic about it. But that doesn't change the circumstance that your error that should never be made. Severely impacted your guest and their experience in Boulder Colorado on New Year's Eve. And then being woken up by the fire alarm somewhere around 6:00 a.m. having to go out into the freezing cold was just the cherry on top. Although I don't know what caused the alarm to go off and whether it was in control of the hotel or not. I do know it was the second massive inconvenience I had to endure as a result of staying at your hotel. As I said the room was nice for the age. The view was nice and if it wasn't for all the massive inconvenience and enjoyment it took away from my New Year's eve. I would probably recommend and stay there again. But circumstances left a very poor taste in my mouth.

When checking into our room, I was informed by the front desk that or King bed room was overbooked and that she had to downgrade us to a queen. Wasn't a huge deal except that we weren't compensated in anyway whatsoever for a room that was a good 50$ cheaper. We we're also really looking forward to going to the hot tub and pool. Apparently they removed the hot tub despite where we booked saying they still had it. And the pool water smelled a bit mossy as though there wasn't enough chlorine in the water? The mattress and pillows had to be some of the most uncomfortable I have ever had at a hotel, (airplane pillows are more comfortable). The bathtub had a drain issue and as a result when taking a shower for about 5 minutes would fill the tub. We had a total of 2 working outlets and only on one side of the bed. Also something management might want to note is that our door (room 233) wouldn't shut all the way unless you pulled with force to close the door. Overall very disappointed in this hotel as the images and the website make it seem a lot nicer than it is.

Positive to say about this hotel is that the room was very clean and looked like the pictures. This hotel has so much potential and may be very dated but it was fine for 2 nights. The hallways may need some cosmetic updating but with the room being clean and everything working, it was the best price in the area!

We loved our stay here and were very impressed with the customer service. We booked our stay through Chase Travel. Unfortunately, Chase failed to book our stay on their end which led to us not having a room for the night! After some finagling with Chase, we got our room, luckily. We came to the hotel early to confirm that we were set and Sam at the front desk upgraded our room so we had a view of the flat irons and checked us in early!! We really appreciated the upgrade especially considering the issue we ran into wasnโ€™t even their fault. The room was good for a quick stay and you canโ€™t beat the location!
