The Boulder Theater has a beautiful interior, great sound and acoustics, friendly staff, and the venue is an iconic landmark of Boulder, Colorado. It’s a safe place to have a fun night out seeing a concert or comedy show with friends. They frequently book well-known acts and offer affordable ticket prices.

The Boulder Theater is wonderful in several ways. First, it is the perfect size. It's large enough to seat a pretty big audience yet small enough to allow some sense of intimacy with the performers. Secondly/thirdly, it's a very attractive space with an Art Deco feel and it is an important enough venue to attract major entertainers. We have seen Leon Russell and several other big deal acts here over the years. Fourth, there are two bars: main level and balcony with rapid service. And it is located pretty much in the heart of downtown Boulder near excellent options for food and drink. Finally, the sound system is excellent, be the music electric or acoustic. In relatively recent times, we have been privileged to see both Roseanne Cash and the BoDeans here. Great experiences both. I've not enjoyed a better music venue anywhere.

Small, cute theater for smaller venues. The atmosphere is great, the theater is beautiful, and I really like how the bar is easily accessible! The staff was friendly as well!!

Great intimate venue to see live performances. Even the drink prices are cheaper than downtown Denver shows and there is plenty places to get a bite to eat before and after they show. Last show I saw there was The BoDeans and they rocked the joint.

Great theatre. Wonderful acoustics for an indoor concert. The balcony gives an awesome view and some seating for those who don't want to stand for hours on end. Had a great time at the show I attended! Matt Maeson!

This place is an amazing indoor venue! I've been here twice and they've changed the layout of the inside which was very surprising to me because the first concert I went to here was very small, but the second one I went to was massive and sold out! Like for one I was maybe 20 feet away from the stage while having some room around myself, and the other one I sat up on a balcony to watch the show. Super cool! It also never got hot and the A/C was working well. Overall I'd continue to come back without hesitation.

Nice quaint theater. The parking situation is absolutely awful so get there early to drive around and be careful about private parking notices. Getting into the theater goes pretty quickly if you're ready with your I'd and tickets. Drinks are pretty expensive. Bartenders are fantastic and will help where they can. Seats in the front rows are uncomfortable but there's a bonus; you paid extra for them! Lastly the restrooms are clean, just not enough for a drinking crowd.

It’s great to see older buildings still exist. They do a good job with pulling in talent for shows and allow people to host parties, ceremonies, and events here. The place could use some TLC though. The bathrooms are a mess and need some upkeep. One stall is impossible to use without someone holding the door closed from the outside.

This theater has a lot of character. With that said it was dated and only had one area for restrooms (thus the 1 star ding). I was late in purchasing my tickets so we were way up on the third tier. Here is an insider tip...if you have to be in the back, get the back row in the center portion. These seats actually are higher than normal and gave me just enough lift I could see the stage just fine. Give yourself extra time to get through the door. The poor door guy has multiple things to do and check. I had a great experience and would go back if they had a show I wanted to see.

I've always loved Boulder Theater! It's a great venue that is so authentic Boulder; the style is old school and beautiful, and draws a great crowd. The layout makes most shows feel intimate, and the bartenders and staff are wonderful.

Great venue! Beautiful on the inside and out. Plenty of room, wasn't too hot or anything and the bartenders were really nice

Have always adored this venue - absolutely beautiful old architecture and art (look up at the ceiling!) and a very friendly atmosphere. I imagine your enjoyment might vary based on what kind of show you see, but the theater itself, the management, and the employees are really top notch. (shoutout to the very good-natured employee I talked to on the phone last week! ✨) Oh, and the seats are still really good from the balcony! I might even like them better. 😊

I am super sad to hear that the Boulder theater is going to close! No! I guess I was lucky to have gone to two shows this in 2023. I saw Pepper and just recently saw Richard Cheese. both fabulous shows, but this past show, we found a way to have a drink at The Lounge pre show, and even get some super yummy flat bread, once you go, go early and enjoy the fantastic service, great drinks and early entry into the theater!

Fun times listening to Anthony Doerr discuss to journey to Cloud Cukoo Land. Quite the interesting talk. The theater is a nice old movie theater turned venue with memorabilia throughout the lobby. Full bar with for those who enjoy a libation while attending a show. I'm glad this space has been preserved to retain its charm. Stop by when in the vicinity.

Really fun venue! The set up is awesome and I like that the balcony has a couch area in the back to relax if you need to take a break. All the bartenders were awesome and quick. Perfectly mixed drinks every time no matter who you went to. If you live in the area or are visiting Boulder, go see a show here, even if you don't know the artist!
