Great shop! I went in looking for a new nymph rod, FRA is one of the few T&T dealers in CO. Antonio (the owner) took time show me numerous rods and compare the other brands they carry. Their staff is knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy talking about fishing. Highly recommended.

Did a half day of flyfishing here, we had Matt, Dave, and Dawson, everyone was so wonderful. We had beginners to intermediate, and they were accommodating, fun, and really knowledgeable! Thanks for an amazing day!

My wife and I just recently stayed in Estes park for our anniversary. We knew we wanted to do some fishing so we booked Daniel Hogarth with Front range anglers. He was fantastic! Very friendly, knowledgeable and very patient. We had pretty rough/windy conditions on our trip so he untangled a lot of knots. Daniel set us up with the right fly’s and techniques to land a large number of fish between the two of us. He had a work out netting fish left and right. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide to make it an awesome day. Highly recommend him! We even seen him out on the water a couple days later on his day off. My hat flew off into the water and of course he was able to hook it and reel it in. 10/10 will definitely hit him up when we come back out. Thank you! Anthony and Ashley

I gifted my dad a half day fishing for an early Father’s Day gift this year. It was our first time fly fishing and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Christian, had everything we needed and helped us have the most enjoyable experience while also teaching the basics of fly fishing. He was also very patient with us, even when I hooked a bunch of rocks & sticks. It was a wonderful day and the whole team at Front Range Anglers made it so easy from start to finish. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!

An awesome trip! I have caught tons of trout in PA, but never one over 15”. Plus, I could not throw a fly rod to save my life. Dawson had me throwing wet and dry flies in no time. He netted (and released!) 13 Rainbow’s between 14”-20”, most 16”-18”. I also lost about 4 more, broke a big boy off (my fault) and missed many more good hits. I highly recommend Front Range Anglers and My guide Dawson for any fishing in CO!!! Thanks guys!!

8/5/20 Bobby put us on the fish quick, great guide service and full service fly shop. Worth the money. 8/6/23 Brenden was very helpful on our Boulder Creek fishing trip, full of knowledge and helped us land a few fish. I learned a new skill, the Bow and Arrow cast, caught a fish under a large Boulder cavern- super cool. Highly recommend Front Range Anglers. Worth every penny as I gather more knowledge for this lifetime learning experience.

Front Range Anglers helped me arranging a couple of fly fishing tours, and both trips were amazing! Tim, our guide, was very knowledgeable and kind. My wife and I were able to explore Boulder area as we planned for the trip with the help of Tim. Thank you Tim and Front Range Anglers!

We booked a half-day fly fishing trip with FRA, and Eric was our guide. There was great communication from the very beginning! He took us to a beautiful spot up in Estes park where we caught some beautiful rainbow and brown trout! Eric was patient with me being a first time fly fisher, and did a great job explaining the ins and outs! We will definitely book with Front Range Anglers again next time we’re in town!

Andrew was a truly fantastic instructor. He was patient, kind, informative and enthusiastic. At the outset, he explained what we were going to do and why, offered me the chance to ask any questions, and then got us right into fishing. He answered all of my questions along the way, switched out flies, untangled my line, gently corrected my technique when necessary, and netted fish after fish after fish when I successfully hooked them. Could not have asked for a better morning on the water nor a better guide!

Great trip! Ask for Reice! We did the happy hour trip option and enjoyed 2 hours in the Boulder Canyon learning to fly fish. Reice hit the perfect balance of teaching and making sure we had a great time. Highly recommend.

Our party of six had an outstanding time on our 1/2 day trip with guides Christian and Jacob. We were all novices and the guides were helpful with getting us started on basic techniques. There was plenty of communication prior to the trip from the lead guide so any questions we had were answered thoroughly and we felt confident about the trip by the time we met up on the day of. We caught a total of six fish so to these first-timers that was a successful day! They took us to two different spots and kept us fishing even though the weather did not cooperate with us for the first hour or so. They would scout out "good" spots and move us around a bit when they thought it would be helpful. They constantly rotated around to each person to check on us. They described the habitat and behavior of the fish we were looking for and if I do go fly fishing again I feel I have a good basic knowledge of the sport. All four adults in the group agreed it was a fun trip and a good vacation adventure! I would like to add we had a young teen and a 7-y/o with us and the guides were very attentive and helpful with the youngsters in the group.

AWESOME!!! My son and I were in from Chicago and had a great time on our guided fishing tour with Front Range Anglers. Reice was our guide and he was incredible. We were novices and Reice took the time to educate us and made it an incredibly fun experience. We would highly recommend this company and Reice as a guide.

We had the best time learning to fly fish with Daniel! He was knowledgable, friendly and answered all of our questions! We had a blast and would highly recommend. The communication for setting up a customized trip to you is also great!

This store continues to impress. Moved here in March and have made this my go-to fly shop. All of the staff have been very helpful and informative, whether it be rod, fly, water or fish questions. Steve, in particular, has become my sounding board for questions, as I settle in to CO and the incredible alpine lake fishing. They've gained my trust...next up...a new rod/reel for Christmas!

My wife and I had an excellent experience from start to finish on Oct 23, 2021. The initial call was super helpful, the onboarding process was simple, and we were impressed with our guide, Luke, from the start. We were surprised to get a consultative approach asking about how to make our trip the best it could be. The full day trip was both fun and educational. We hit three different environments and learned countless tips. We must have caught 12-14 fish including Rainbow and Brown Trout. This was my wife's first catch in her life and fly fishing had been on her bucket list for years!
