This place has potential. The location is good, the staff were lovely and the rooms were spacious and clean. However, we were immensely disappointed with the fact that the swimming pool was NOT available (yet it was still showcased in the photographs on the booking website, and this was something that were incredibly excited about), the parking was quite difficult to manage, and the showers in the bathroom were a nightmare. Overall, a 2/10.

I give this hotel one star for the building still standing. This experience is more like a hostel then a hotel, and it wasn't cheap to stay here, for one night £145 to be exact. There was no Parking, as the car park is so small and no spaces. The staff need to learn to smile and be more welcoming. The lift well that was just a big joke I have never seen such a small lift in my life. Room is very run down old and worn out. Personally I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I definitely would not stay here again. I'm wouldn't be surprise if this hotel ends up being on hotel's from hell one day.

The walls are very thin and our room was very cold. You can hear everything from the next room, even what you don’t want. Parking is not always possible. The hotel parking does not enough space... Breakfast was plentiful but I didn't like it.

We can’t leave luggage, we can’t get extra bed , the room stink, staff service awful , they not had water bottle for the night . One good the location it’s good but I will not recommend this hotel

Firstly, not enough car park spaces, Secondly, room smelt of damp, mold on the walls, mattress, felt like it was made of bricks, furniture in room, dated & chipped, cobwebs on light fixings & windows. Breakfast, turned up slightly warm, complained, they then brought a bowl of heated up baked beans out, they were slightly upset, when I asked for a new breakfast, that then turned up after being nuked in the microwave. The hotel feels old & dated more care & attention needs to be done, some of the staff try, others a waste of space.

Well. Location very good. Rest..... We've been there for 5 days. Fire alarm went off 4 times, one of them at 7am, and another one 11pm different day ( the night before I was leaving), unfortunately everyone went to sleep around 1am that day and departures are at 10am, I had to pay for late out cause I couldn't sleep properly. Also, no one came to collect the dirty towels that has been in the corridors for two days, we had to tell them to take it. Both lifts very small, and stop working after two days. The receptionist guy that Sunday night very rude, we went outside and when we came back we didn't know there it was a door next to the main door and he started to shout at us, not hi not anything, room number, no please, no nothing! That's it!! When I left unfortunately I left my straightener and I've been calling 3 times already and they have no idea where it is, and they were asking me about my card details for postage without even telling me if they found my straightener. I'm still waiting for them for give me the answer since a week ago. Disappointed. Only one thing apart of the location, the Spanish staff member in reception morning and evening were very polite and professional and the team members in breakfast were amazing.

Well it’s a Britannia hotel isn’t it. It’s a budget hotel and the cheapest by far. It’s generally clean and functional. First week we had room 2 ground floor felt like it was 5 floors below ground level with no windows, noisy ventilation but a big room. Second week we had a room on the third floor after requesting, and it was much improved clean and functional. The tiny lifts could only just fit 2 grown men forget the bags they had to go on their own. Parking is an issue they have parking at the hotel but first come first served and we never found a space, but between 17:00 and 08:00 you can park in the bays on the roads around the hotel.

The room was dirty. Rust marks all over the carpet. The toilet had lots of white stains on the floor. You can hear everything inside the room. Some baby crying, someone having a poo. The air-conditioning units outside. People talking outside. Everything you could possibly imagine you can listen to it. MI6 should have a room there to listen to everyone. I don't give a 1 star because staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Not very happy with 3 night stay room was 2*,. Some of the staff need to learn to smile and be polite They don't do evening meals, the bar only opens evenings and is expensive. Don't bring too much luggage as the lift is really small The breakfast was a little cold but overall it was ok

The service is very poor. Worst part is the Manager is very unprofessional. We have been told to cancel our orders just because we asked few questions with disabled persons stay. Building is old and broken. Hotel's lift capacity is for 1 person with a small bag. I would never recommend anyone for this hotel. I would just say keep it as your last option!

We stayed for 4 nights in a Britannia Hotel for our anniversary, on the 2nd night we were woken by a drip in the room and it turned out there was a leak in the ceiling and from the look of it, it wasn't the 1st time it had leaked. After having to find someone to come and look we had to move rooms in the middle of the night. We raised this with them and never heard back so had to chase as felt we should get a refund of a nights stay for this. The best we got offered was 50% of the cheapest night, We decided something was better then nothing, accepted this but have never heard from them again and never got the refund offered. Never use Britannia

I have been to so many different hotels... but honestly this Britannia hotel was my worst experience ever. The bathroom was so dirty. Specially sink made me nauseous when every time I looked down to spit or wash my face. The room was so smelly as well. Unfortunately we had no choice but to stay there as all the hotels around were fully booked. It was a nightmare rather than a romantic night. No action was taken in complaint. The staffs were so unprofessional!!! Worst service ever. Never going back there for sure.

Terrible service, front desk staff ok but house keepers aren’t. We stayed for 2 nights but our room wasn’t clean even once. Flush wasn’t working properly, upon complaining at the check out there wasn’t even an apology… The room wasn’t clean when we checked in. There was a fan in the room but no socket to plug in. There were only 1 available sockets… The fire alarm went on ringing terribly loud at around 12 o’clock midnight…not once twice and again 6 in the morning..turns out it was faulty…no information, no apologies from any of the staffs at the hotel. They seemed very unhappy with their job. Very unwelcoming …due to the faulty fire alarms in many other rooms they closed the elevators. We had to lift our very heavy luggage from the 4th floor to the reception…no information of the lift not working from the staff. We were waiting for the lift hoping that it would come but it didn’t. Meanwhile a house keeping staff passed noticing we were waiting for the lift but still didn’t inform us that it isn’t working finally when we approached her then she said yes it isn’t working asked to go by the stairs. Overall it was a terrible experience…

Staff unfriendly. Felt like an inconvenience. Room needs a refurb. Unclean room, Broken door, soap trays scaling, small bath, taps soaked bathroom when in use, not enough tea coffee milk etc, no water in room. Very hot on first floor, uncomfortable mattress, very hard. Leisure facilities dire. Stain on pool towels. No changing rooms, lockers didn’t work, not clean.
