Five of us went for lunch today, I have been here many years ago, when previous owners had this wonderful place. Right from the start we were welcomed in by Denise who served us throughout our meal, she made our lunch complete, an absolute star. The restaurant has plenty of seating, is extremely clean, and feels like home. There's plenty of history on the walls to.(pictures). Now for the food. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Thank you chef, everything was perfectly cooked and presented most professionally. I highly recommend eating here you will not be disappointed 😉😉☺️. Please look at photos. Will return soon.

Lovely setting; friendly and very attentive staff, good menu and a very good chef. I had the fish cake starter which was the tastiest fish cake I’ve ever had! Dog friendly as well. Deffo 10 out of 10 recommend this place for dinner!

Lovely Sunday roast, which is available in a smaller portion for smaller appetites:) You need to book ahead on a Sunday as it is very busy. Pleasant service. Dog friendly. Fabulous vegan mushroom and spinach pie.

Lovely visit to this pub right by the sea in bournemouth. We parked for free close by and were warmed after a long dog walk in the comfy pub. Food was to a good standard although fairly limited, service was very good. Would definitely come back if in thr area for a drink and bite to eat. Dog friendly and car park if required.

Spent New year's eve here. Very enjoyable. Everyone worked extremely hard to give us a memorable evening. Food and wine good and not overpriced. Singing and music and enough space to dance

Thank you Maggie, Darren and all your team. Delightful gem of a Hotel situated in the very best part of Bournemouth. Honestly, your people are a credit to you... Paul, Gillian, Denise, Amanda, Guy and anyone else we met. I would highly recommend your beautiful Restaurant/Pub./Hotel. Smashing breakfasts too! Thank you!

We ate at the pub here, located in what seemed like a predominantly residential area - to our surprise it was great! The vegan fare was excellent - ordered the mushroom pie with mash and it went down a treat! Classic flavours and a good range of textures made it a really interesting and enjoyable meal. There's plenty of parking on-site and at street level, it's dog friendly and there are even some packets of playing cards available. Staff are friendly and even helped out when I needed to charge my phone. Recommended!

The roast dinners here are absolutely divine. We even met the chef who makes them! He really cares about the quality and flavours. The staff here too are always so friendly and accommodating. We've been here about 4 or 5 times now and every time it's been a great hit and so cosy inside. The outside also gets a bit of sun so the best of both worlds!

Great beer (other drinks are available), lovely staff, friendly dogs. The only drawback is we don't live close enough for it to be our local! We can't comment on the accommodation or the food.

We live within walking distance of this friendly pub. Good food, gluten free options & an area outside for warm days. So close to the beach too. Great jazz nights too.

We walk in, intending to just get drinks. It’s raining in the garden, busy, and there is no obvious drinking area. A waitress asks if we have a reservation. We say no, she checks with someone and then says it's OK. She brings menus and asks if we’re eating. We say ‘we’ll have a look but we’ll probably just get drinks’, because one of us is curious about the menu. Seems that’s fine – no objection raised. We go to the bar and order three drinks (£15) and have them at the table for about 10 minutes. Then another waitress says ‘are you eating?’ We say we decided to just get drinks in the end and give her the menus back. Then we get a lecture about ‘how this section is only for food and I’ll have to move you if I need to seat someone’. Fair enough to say it, but it was done in a pretty aggressive way and with an unnecessary attitude. What’s more her colleague made us think it was OK. There needs to be better signage and communication, and even if the customer gets it wrong, there is no cause for rudeness. It made us feel very unwelcome, like second class citizens, and we won’t be coming back. Shame because we liked the place on the two previous occasions we went

I visited this venue for a family reunion. It is tucked away in a residential area. Small car park. But there is on street parking. We arrived on a Thursday evening & there was an event on. DJ. I'd say the venue is more suited for drinks than eating a 3 course family dinner The food was nice. Maybe it was just the evening we happened apon. Busy. Our waitress was very busy. Forgot a drinks order. But realised & sorted it. Food felt a tad rushed. If you want a fun vibrant night then I highly recommend. For the over 30s. I'd go for the party type night rather than with kid's & grannies 😍 Maybe call the pub & see what events are going on. Location is a walk up a hill from Chine beach.

Went for a quick drink after an evening stroll on the promenade. Wanted to chill in the lounge but ended up in the beer garden because of the overwhelming fish smell. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. Would visit again but not on a fish day!

We live local, so haven't stayed here. We used to be regulars for lunch, but it 'lapsed', for a while. Yesterday, I, with my husband, had a 'belated' birthday lunch, which was SO enjoyable. We were welcomed by very friendly staff, and the service was EXCELLENT. The food was cooked and presented = EXCELLENT. We will certainly start to use this restaurant again. One thing 'NEGATIVE' , PLEASE get someone to WEED the border by the car park, it is NOT a good 'first look'. It looks very 'forgotten'. That is the ONLY negative thing, I would say. Thank you 🙏

What a fantastic Inn, just 5 rooms of which 2 are dog friendly so make sure to book in advance. The food wasn’t just regular pub grub either and was just what was needed after a long day of travelling. The Kofta starter was really tasty and we both opted for the chicken and ham hock pie which came with a separate jug of gravy, the pasty was short (perfect in my opinion) and the chips were not of the frozen variety, also came with cabbage, parsnips and carrot all of which were prepared and cooked a little different to the norm. The staff were all super friendly and to top things off the Inn is within a short walking distance to Branksome Chime beach which was also fantastic and thankfully dog friendly. Being able to have the dog with us was great as so often we have to travel without him, the panting did go on through the entire night though. Fantastic food, perfect location and friendly staff, we will definitely return and maybe stay longer.

We called in here for a cooked lunch and the all round experience was great. Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming, and great food. Highly recommend. Menu caters for all. The sticky toffee pud was fab.

We used to visit here when we lived near. It's a while since we were here. The meals including gluten free were tasty. The meals were presented well. We will consider eating here again when we're in the area.

Good location, plenty of seats inside and out, food looked good, however we just went in for drinks. All seemed OK, got to the bar, asked if they did Coke or Pepsi on tap, which is pretty normal to ask, right? Especially when you can't see the taps other than for beer. Nah, not here though. The taps for the soft drinks are hidden in the corner which the guy behind the bar had to rudely point out like we were stupid. 'It's right infront of you, Pepsi' with a sarcastic attitude. Honestly, should've walked out. Pubs only survive when they have custom. Your food can be fantastic but if you have no customers to serve because of your attitiude and poor customer service then it won't survive long. Other staff I'm sure are fine, but perhaps a bit of customer service training wouldn't go a miss.

Have just spent a fantastic weekend at this wonderful place. Arrived on Thursday and were greeted by a lovely lady called Denise who was really friendly and helpful and showed us to our room. Room was lovely and cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. The bar was lovely and we were able to bring our Dog with us. The food was excellent and plenty of alcohol beverages on the menu. Breakfast was fantastic and our Dog enjoyed her own sausage Ideal location for the beach, a short walk down the hill and there is a set of steps which brings you out onto the beach or a short walk further down the hill and you can locate the beach if the steps are a problem. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again in the future and the best thing is it's dog Friendly just make sure you request a Dog friendly room Thank you to all the brilliant staff, you were absolutely amazing and helpful

What an amazing service dinner and desert! The service was of a very high standard and Amanda was amazing. We had a lively dinner with our 2 year old. The New York cheesecake was the best I have even had and I had to order a second one!

The location and the pub itself are a 10/10. However, at 1pm on a Sunday, two of the roast choices were sold out. Really? At 1pm? When it wasn't even that busy? Food was mediocre at best, and I reckon the landlord's face would crack into a million pieces if he smiled. Not a welcoming place at all.

Had lunch here a couple of months ago and it was OK. Went for lunch today with a friend and it was an awful experience, service non existent! Several tables arrived after us and were served food before our order was taken. At 13:30 they had run out of prawns and brown bread. A table near us ordered something else that was no longer available - club sandwich I think. When the food arrived it was below average pub food. We will not be going again and I would not recommend. A real shame as it is a great place but who ever owns it now needs to get a grip and employ a chef and staff who will do the place credit

Came in the other day for lunch with my nan who’s 85 and my dogs and the lady and gentleman couldn’t do enough for us. Gave us a lovely table not too close to anyone as I said we were a little anxious about distancing. They were so lovely and friendly we’ve been before but just had to share what a nice experience we had. Thank you

We spent New Years Eve enjoying the welcome at the Inn on the Park. The landlord and landlady where so welcoming and the hole team made it a very enjoyable evening indeed. The Frank Sinatra tribute, Tony, was brilliant as was the landladies jazz singing latter in the evening. Our food was excellent we will defiantly return during 2022 to enjoy their pub and grub again and this time we will try and keep my wife and her friend from doing the conga all the way into the kitchen and behind the bar. Thank you guys for a great New Years Eve

We were recommended to try this pub as it was dog friendly. We checked the menu which said there was a Thursday offer - 2 Burgers for £15. We therefore decided to try it. There were only 2 burgers on the menu -vegan and beef - vegan being £1 cheaper. Apparently although it didnt say on the website or the leaflet in the bar, vegan burgers weren't included. Extremely misleading...we left disappointed.

My friend and myself meet up once a month for lunch and have been to several places but then we found this lovely place. The food is great, staff are so friendly. The manager makes sure you are happy, we do not go anywhere else now, this is a happy place to be. We will be there again this week.

I had long known there was an interesting Hotel in Branksome Chine and my wife and I were in for a very pleasant surprise as we were there for an early evening dinner just after 6pm. At first concerned the food might not be home prepared especially because my food preference is Vegan I chose the Beyond Burger. One of course never knows at any restaurant what the service is like but here the waiters were very attentive making sure we were both happy with what we ordered as well as anything else they could do for us. Amongst the most inviting part of our meal was the ambience of the dinning room where we sat in the main window area on very comfortable seating. While I am unable to remember what my wife ordered she too was pleased with the quality and tastefulness of her meal. I already knew that Beyond Burgers are often used at many pubs. However it was not only cooked to my liking but the chips (french fries with skins) were comparable to the best I have had anywhere. The salad and accompanying vegetables was exceptional. It showed the chef took extra care with preparation as well as presentation and good value at £16 which these days for a main course we both considered very reasonable. Amongst my favourite part of any meal is dessert and my favourite dish is sticky toffee pudding. So many eateries I have been to in the past where the chef hasn't got it right. I like it to be moist. All I can add I will be definitely returning even if it just to have a sticky toffee pudding. I would even drive out of my way to have the desert. Thats how good it is.

It's okay, not wow... The place has got some good wines and atmosphere, it's clean and there is a lot of focus on comfortable seating arrangement, staff are quick to respond and all in all it was a nice evening out. Mondays they have Jazz night so very noisy (even if you like Jazz) and it's difficult to enjoy a night out if you're not into Jazz. From a pure service level it would have made sense to suggest to customers sitting near the platform that it is going to get very load and perhaps swap places if they're only interested in dinner.. A little bit of noise is ok, we all love music but when I say load I mean very load. (And you might just wanted dinner). The food was very standard but pricing was dear compared. Portions were rather large but it wasn't so tasty, for example the mash was clumpy and needed salt, the salad was swimming in dressing, the fish was simply buttered (the whole lot!) Without much preparation, this perhaps was intended but wasn't clearly explained, we asked if there is seafood in one of the portions and was told they are not sure (so not prepared on site most probably) and so we didn't take it ... but that's riski.. (allergies and all that) the broccoli was soft, you got it, not up to standard. The veg soup however was fabulous and so was the Hummus. We paid £130 for 4 ppl, in my book that's very expensive meal for the level of food provided.

Did our 10 person pre-Christmas dinner at the Inn. Good food, good service, nice spacious table and eating area. Wish I lived closer as if I did it would become my regular haunt, but then there are more Christmas to come and I do sometimes pass near by.

We had been for a nice walk on the beach and dropped in to the Inn in the Park for a coffee. It's had a refurb since we were last there and it's now a very pleasing layout with different seating areas givng a sense of privacy whilst still having an upmarket country pub feel . We ended up having lunch and it was excellent, I had the steak and ale pie from the specials board and my wife had spaghetti bolognese. The pie was superb as were the vegetables, they'd been cooked with care and attention and were really tasty, the all important gravy was fantastic too.

This is our local pub, the food is always brilliant and service is even better, we can’t wait to take friends here whenever they visit the coast!! Special shout-out to Amanda who was so attentive to our every need.
