Would be nice if the landlord lowered the rent so the shops could be filled. I used to work in a shop in the Arcade, it was a lovely ‘community’ we all looked out for and helped each other

This shopping centre is basically empty of retailers. There are a few bespoke stores. I tend to use it as a cut through. Although work is being done in Boscombe & I think this centre is being CG changed.

Its like a greenhouse currently in the heat but generally a nice space with some independent shops and they do have events sometimes like the vintage fair. There is public toilets which is handy and it kind of backs onto the sovereign centre

Historic venue in need of a lot of tender loving care. Could be great with some imagination but, I fear the cost would prove prohibitive.

What a lovely place, set just back from main high street you could easily miss it. Small individual shops with a good variety. A lot were closed but it could have just been the day. Spate units to set up a business.

Sadly many of the thriving shops were no longer as I hadnt been there for awhile so quite soulless needs the blood put back into it

Boscombe's beautiful Royal Arcade is filled with independent shops, boutiques selling niche clothing, bric-a-brac, collectables and coffee. Such a beautiful and lively building but hardly only a few are still in operation. I hope they do something about it, it has so much history behind it it would be a real shame if they let this one shut down too.

Royal Arcade is a lovely Edwardian Arcade of quirky shops and has a nice cafe. It is beautifully lit and a visitor attraction in it's own right with vintage shops.

Lovely and clean, such a shame a lot of empty premises.

A sad relic from the Victorian glory days of Boscombe. It's mainly empty with a leaky roof now. Another example of a local council and landlords pricing everything out and ultimately destroying it in the process.

I very, very rarely go into any of the shops and just walk through the Victorian Arcade on my way somewhere.

Many empty shop units. Nothing there to like!! Only useful to walk through. Very sad 😔

Old fashioned, large arcade leading from newer more modern arcade. Although during the week on my visit there is almost nothing open. Nothing to browse and unfortunately a waste of time. About a two minute walk through even if you stop to window shop. It would be far better to get rid and develop.. Won't rush back anytime soon.

Has special Charm, retro, clean, could do with tea dances on super dance floor! Has great Tue-Sat cafe but it closes early.

Very quiet place not too busy but no toilet facilities. Not helpful when you have with you a diabetic or kids and need to shop for a few hours.

Really nice arcade with a relaxing atmosphere, kept clean and tidy, the coffee ☕ shop's have variety with food and drink, the Royal Arcade is popular with the locals & it's always worth walking through when you have time

Went through there on a Sunday. Seemed like shops were out of business and the ones that were opened were closed. Seems like a nice place though. 100% would recommend going during the week.

It used to be a great place with different stores but now it is more like a ghost town with hardly any stores left. There is room for improvement if the council decides to do something about it which they would not since it is not making them any money or income. Good to just pass through. Leave it individuals to experience this. Thank you and have a great day 👍

About all its good for is taking a short cut from the car 🚗 park to the crappie High Street.

Beautiful place the council have let go to rack and ruin, and obviously charge too much for rent,as lots of empty shops

Such a shame this lovely arcade doesn't have the range of quality outlets it's architecture really deserves. It was clearly built at a time when Boscombe was known for its upmarket gentility - sadly no longer.

This is such a delightful arcade of historical content, but it is a shame that there are very few shops occupied. Lots of character.

👍 This is a fine example of the rather quirky shopping arcades lived so much by our Victoriana ancestors that eventually gave birth to The Mall. 😐 Always feels a bit wasted in here. They could put some awesome shops in here but they’re all a bit… meh? It’s fine, nice and clean but you’d only visit if you wanted Wilkinson’s or Lidl.
