Checked into my room after 9pm feeling horrible for arriving so late the bar staff/ receptionist was so friendly and polite. Both staff and customers were also helpful in providing coffee tips for the morning travel. I look forward to coming back for a cold beer and meeting more friendly locals.

Have dined here many times and the food has always been great. Lately though the meal sizes have been much smaller and that's disappointing. The meal size is still lots smaller than 6 months ago. The Spanish mackerel isn't the same either. New chef or different fish,or cutting costs.

Booked a table for two on Monday 31/10/22 1800 has we got there and we're told bistro was not really opened and we would have to order and pay using the the phone app when I explained that my phone was not set up for phone banking I was told I would have to pay cash we regularly eat at ahl venues and this is the first time this happened the attude of the person serving was if you don't like it leave we are staying at Queens Beach Tourist Park and had intended to eat there 4 to 5 times during the week but they can keep there attitude will not be going there again

Fantastic location wonderful staff, however there bistro menu requires a tip in order to proceed with payment when you order off the app. No actual table service available. Typical ALH corp behavior ... substandard

Coming from away on holidays we ordered a take away meal there on Tuesday the 28_12 _21 the food was disgusting, it had to be thrown in the bin. & I was charged $25 for a serve of veges for my granddaughter. Not happy at all. Will definitely not be ordering from there again. I think the manager needs to go into the kitchen & eat the food they are serving up & see how he or she likes it.

Accomodation is good For working class , Bar is good although quieter than it was . Ordering a meal is unbelievable. By phone or walk round the back to look at menus then walk back to finally order , but only with cash. Otherwise go hungry.strange how staff don’t stay long.

Had a seniors meal but smaller than a childs meal. Cold wind but not able to close bar door. Even staff left door open after we attempted to close. Bit of a rabbit warren but can find a nice place to eat without loud music

We had a lovely meal there great service my husband enjoy his steak cooked to perfection. It was great to have a salad that had dressing and my fish was perfect.

Nice little room. Just dated. Good little revamp and it’ll feel more lux. Ideas… wooden floor boards in main area, new paint, new lighting and fan fixtures, bathroom upgrade, mirrors, fox channels for TV. The beds are nice and comfortable (The most important thing done right) I’m not a fussy person, just a place to sleep and shower is all I need. It’s a nice little place

Good time of day. The hotel is average in service. We stayed in this hotel temporarily on duty. In the rooms, all appliances and furniture are old, except for the TV. The staff (female officers) are treated with disdain. Serving dishes has to wait for hours and orders are constantly confused. So decide whether you want to stay at this hotel or not? #P.S. A flattering review of the owner in which he guarantees to be corrected is not required.

The room was so comfortable and clean and the staff fantastic from start to finish. The only problems we had were witnessing other travellers annoy the restaurant staff with outrageous complaints and demands from whinging about the table varnish to having to pay more for the bottled coke. We had second hand embarrassment for what the staff had to deal with. Awesome work from the team there, we will be back.

I recently relocated to Queens Beach, and the QB pub has become my local spot. I offer this feedback with the intention of providing constructive criticism. My desire, shared by others in the community, is to see the QB pub thrive and become our favoured local establishment. However, I must express my disappointment with the current state of the food and beer on tap. Having sampled the parmas on two occasions, I found them akin to eating processed chicken nuggets. At a price point of $28, this was a significant let down, compounded by the meagre portion of accompanying chips. I suggest trying the parma at Central Hotel, Grandview, or Horseshoe Bay Café; I believe a comparison will reveal the inadequacies of your parma. Our experience with the Kilcoy beef burger was similarly unsatisfactory. It felt like consuming a reheated frozen patty, with a dense bun and an overall dry texture. At $23, one would expect a higher quality. Personally, I find the steak burger at Ampol, priced at $10, to be a more appealing option, as it boasts tenderness, juiciness, and robust flavour. The confit tomato gnocchi left much to be desired, lacking any discernible flavour. On multiple occasions, the beers served at the bar had no head and tasted flatter than expected for tap beer. Additionally, accessing your menu proves challenging, as it is not available on your website but rather as a photo on your Facebook page. I recommend revaluating and redesigning the menu, selecting superior ingredients, and inspiring confidence in your current chef or seeking someone who takes pride in their culinary craft. Regrettably, until positive changes are implemented, I won't be returning to the QB pub, and I'm aware of others in the area who share similar sentiments. My sincere hope is for an improved and more satisfying experience in the future.

Convenient location at a great price. Can order room service from the pub directly to your room. Service at check in was quick and friendly. Bed was very comfortable, definitely alot better than most motels I've stayed in.

Stayed for one night in a motel room. Had everything we needed and clean. Screen front door would be nice for fresh air but we were able to open the bathroom window which helped with ventilation. Had dinner outside which was lovely and the music was pleasant. Food was good although a little on the salty side for us. Prices are on the high side for what we usually pay at better hotels. Staff are at reception and the bistro are friendly and welcoming. A good stopover across from the beach.

Staff were mostly unhelpful, the room was totally filthy and poorly maintained. The bed was itchy and the lights from outside shine straight in, lighting up the whole room. Paying $120 was ludicrous and I’d never stay there again.

Ordered and paid for our meal on their ridiculous app. Menu limited to standard pub grub. After ordering we walked to the souless and empty restaurant, to be told it was shut and anyway our food was at the table we ordered at... ( weren't told this) this was a table in the middle of the bar area, which was like eating in the middle of a betting shop! The food came out about 10 minutes after ordering.hmmmm. I had a lukewarm pasta, very salty. My partner, had the Australian pie. Probably one of the worst food experiences ever! Meal disgusting, atmosphere zero. Wish we had not gone. Both felt sick after.

Amazing staff, venue and location. Couldn't have been made more welcome. Veronica has been incredible to us. The locals even made my dog feel welcome, infact they remember his name and not mine 😂 wortha visit for a great feed and cheap alcohol

A very good one night stay but basic amenities normally found in a motel are missing, eg toaster and.microwave. I was very pleased to find a smart tv. Also has Tea and coffee facilities. Clean and comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nicely laid out room however had some small issues that hugely impact the rating. I imagine we just got the worst room. Deadlock doesn't work, half the lights were not working and glass missing in the bathroom allowing insects in throughout the day and night. Would stay here again and recommend it, on the premise that I think we just had the dud room.

Nice little pub. Rooms are clean, bed was comfortable but bathroom was dated and worn. Lots of traffic with the drive through bottle shop right outside the door, bit noisey at times.

Stayed here when we got caught in the floods. Staff were amazing, couldn’t help us enough. Rooms were a bit old, but clean, comfortable beds and pillows, great shower. Food was fantastic. We even got a phone call to tell us the highway was open and we could get home. Appreciate everything the staff did. Keep up the great work.

Clean Totally dislike the open bathroom in the bedroom, plus shower room didn't have neither a curtain or privacy screen We arrived before 10pm after a long drive, we were looking forward to a beer, pub was open we check in, drop our bags in the room. Go back to the pub and it was closed! staff member at check in should have said something!!! as closing in 5......last order! Terrible customer service, very disappointing

Just had the most amazing lunch at the queens beach hotel. Oysters both natural and kilpatrick were delightful, Salmon was perfectly cooked and vegetables were so tasty.

Look, it's ok... Let's start with the negatives... Staff smoking outside our room we paid to stay in, travelling with kids and we dont smoke. Not ok.... absolutely disgusting and disturbing that they find it ok to sit outside the room window and smoke. They force you to use an app to order food then you get hit with a surcharge, then allow others to pay with cash. The waiter has been fed bulldust, stating that he's been told there is no surcharge. I got charged a surcharged that you are not warned about until you get to the end. Not ok. 1 meal came out 20 minutes before the other 2, not all parents want to have their kids eat on their own. We go out to eat as a family, not to have 1 meal go cold before getting the rest as she wont eat on her own. Food tastes good, but lacking presentation and service is lacking. Drinks are not prioritised in order of ordering, they leave those who ordered on the app til last, and left waiting while others have had a couple rounds of drinks and we got nothing. Tried to discuss with staff but they werent interested. So I'll put it all out there in the review. Accommodation room is very spacious, clean and comfortable.

On Friday night went there for a meal and a few beers with my wife. A couple of the barmaids had no idea how to pour the beer. At 6.50pm we decided to go into the restaurant area to order meals, but we unceramounsly informed that " we are not taking any more orders" Absolutely disappointed as nothing was available in the area.

Great food and cheap beer for a cheeky Friday afternoon knock off. Staff are fantastic, witnessed a very awful, misogynistic and aggressive customer being overly vocal about a simple mistake and the team handled it with grace and patience. Huge props to the team :)

Pros: the room was clean and recently renovated, with a small table, glasses and cutlery available. Cons: the staff was appalling, the worse I've experienced in my life. I'm handicapped, I have problems standing and walking using a cane, and yet I waited 35 minutes in front of the reception to do the check in, without any of the staff - who saw me in pain - offering me a chair to sit. The fact that the check in took 35 minutes is another whole issue, granted there were 6 people ahead of me, all from the same group, but still, 35 minutes? Minor note, when a bed is on castor wheels, blocking such wheels id advisable. I fell on the ground because the bed literally slipped underneath me, there was no lock on the wheels and my wife wasn't able to find a way to keep the bed in place.

Great outdoor space to have a drink after walking the the dog on the beach. Veronica was a great bar person getting to know us and our drink order so we didn't even have to ask every day!!✅👌 Had dinner which was a tasty serve of s&s pork without the batter. Good prices at the adjoining bottle shop too.

The room was clean and surprisingly quiet. The bed was super comfy - room 10! The staff were so helpful- I’d broken my ankle and wasn’t sure how long I’d have to stay but when I needed an extra night they juggled things so I could stay in the same room and I was so very grateful. I’d definitely stay again. Price was reasonable too.

Very disappointed. Only restaurant in the area. You can only order food from an app that doesn't allow you to customise. When ordering food and beverages together they conveniently forget your drinks. Don't bother as mass produce mush. Nobody came to check in to see if my meal was OK.....must be why I am the only customer here 😒 Go to McDonald's instead and you will get a better quality feed and service.
