This
shopping
area
is
okay;
unfortunately
quite
a
few
stores,
over
the
past
few
years,
have
closed.
Once
the
food
court
closed
a
few
years
ago,
I
slowed
down
visiting
as
much.
With
that
being
said,
there
are
still
several
good
places,
even
some
new
food
options,
in
lieu
of
the
food
court
closure,
to
choose
from.
The
town
center
also
still
holds
various
events
yearly,
for
all
ages,
which
is
great
for
the
community.
I
personally
think
this
is
a
good
place
to
park
and
walk
(especially
on
a
good
weather
day),
to
check
out
the
different
merchants
and
restaurants.
Many
of
the
eateries
also
offer
alfresco
dining,
which
is
a
refreshing
alternative.
And
LA
Fitness
is
amongst
the
choices,
for
fitness
enthusiasts.
There
is
also
a
smaller
strip
mall
across
the
street,
on
the
backside
of
Bowie
Town
Center,
called
The
Shoppes
at
Bowie
Town
Center,
which
I
consider
more
of
an
extension
to
the
main
thing.
California
Tortilla,
Music
&
Arts,
Goodwill
and
a
handful
of
other
stores
make
up
this
micro
version.
The
best
time
to
go,
if
you
want
to
enjoy
the
ease
of
movement
and
avoid
the
crowds,
is
definitely
during
the
week.
This
place
still
gets
very
busy
during
the
weekend.
