Cancelled my membership only a week in because I found a better gym. Went in person to get it cancelled and was told I would receive an email regarding the cancellation and they would talk to the owner about giving me a partial refund because I only worked out for a couple of days. Fast forward to today and I got charged again and never received an email regarding the cancellation. It's ironic that they charged me again because I turned in my keycard the day I went to cancel my membership in person, how am I supposed to workout even if I "didn't cancel my membership"? I almost considered putting the billing on my credit card so I could claim fraud because I hear stories all the time about this type of shady behavior from Fuel Fitness.

I’m going to apologize for the long winded review but something has to be said. While the price of the gym is great, there are a lot of things wrong with fuel fitness. First off, this gym is way to small for a city of 50k people. This gym was probably great closer to the beginning of its opening but is far too small now. 1. It is always busy no matter what time you go. 5am to 7-8 pm this place is busy. It might be LESS busy around noon but it is still busy. 2. If this gym wasn’t small enough, I have watched members use 2-3 machines at a time. The circuit they have going is slow and they might not make it to the last machine for 3-4 minutes. If they perform 3 sets of these exercises, they are easily using up 3 machines for 15 minutes. Some members I have see. Use pieces of equipment for 20-30 minutes. Most people can’t wait around to use something for so long or can only do so many exercises before trying to use that last machine and then leave the gym. 3. There are not enough space and machines. If there are 5 leg machines, and 5 people on them trying to switch and rotate, you now have found yourself totally switching your workout or being the next one in line to use a machine. However, there are not enough spaces for all the pieces of equipment in that gym let alone space for more pieces. The machines in the free weights section, chest machine, benches, shoulder press, etc, are all stacked on top of each other to where there is no room and in some places you can’t even squeeze between equipment.

Had a 6 month membership and I’m being requested to pay the joining fee again because they now only have one year plans. Not to mention an about 25% price increase while the building is still the same, oh wait, the renovation moved some stuff around and tore down one unnecessary wall. Big congratulations. In addition to this, paying the last AND first month up front PLUS an additional fee 60 days down the line? What kind of shady billing is this? Rather disgraceful and sheds light on the owners attitude.

My experience. I’m growing increasingly disappointed with the gym. The recent update didn’t solve many problems. Yes there is more space, but I still find myself often waiting for 1 or 2 pieces of my equipment during my workout. 1 weighted leg extension, 1 smith machine, 1 weighted upper chest machine, 1 less abdominal machine, etc. I’m okay if I have to wait every once in awhile or change my workout every once in awhile but having to wait for machines on a weekly basis or change my workout every week because there’s a line to get on a machine isn’t something I should have to do. As a serious and experienced lifter of 10+ years, I like a variety of equipment and not waiting or changing my routine every week. It’s frustrating enough to make me think about leaving fuel. I usually workout before work and many people like myself don’t have the time to wait around for machines. My friend and I were both disappointed to see what “little” had been done in our eyes for the renovation as far as what had been done to fix previous issues. Some of my past injuries prevent me from using things like free bench or squatting but for the amount of people that go here at 1 time, there should be more equipment/variety anyhow. I have also heard rumors of raised prices. I picked the cheaper gym for $30 a months instead of ~55 ( The Ridge with a discount) also because I don’t use sauna, pool, etc. That being said, my last straw in leaving this gym will be if price increase much given it would be close to The Ridge without all the equipment, amenities, and etc. Lastly, I’ve tried voicing to the manager but I’ve got the feeling he doesn’t care.

This is a good basic, but fully stocked gym. The members are what you'd expect: real people and a mix of really strong athletes, and people just looking to maintain their fitness. The membership flexibility is nice, and they were easy to work with to put my membership on hold for a short period of time. The only thing I wish they had is a sauna. Otherwise it meets all of my needs.

Pains me to see how far downhill this place has gone. I understand it’s challenging to get parts to fix broken gym equipment. But, having all of the TVs on the treadmills not work, the rest of the stand-alone wall mounted TVs busted for months on end, showers not being repaired for over half a year, equipment being push way too close to each other, and the disgusting state of the locker rooms is not acceptable and a clear sign the owner has long lost interest running a respectable gym.

Upon a certain Thursday eve, I, in my infinite wisdom, did deem it appropriate to surreptitiously infiltrate into the esteemed halls of Fuel Fitness, all without partaking of its requested recompense, for verily, my allotment of free indulgence spanning five sunrises had been completed. Though Fuel Fitness profiteth nothing from my presence, lo and behold, I find myself compelled to cast my critical gaze upon this establishment, gracing it with a generous trinity of stars. It is without doubt that the handles of the lat pulldown mechanism do achieve a state of sublime ergonomic perfection, and the very air within the confines of this establishment doth possess an aura of pristine purity. However, the ceaseless cacophony of music, emanating with unrelenting vigor from the resounding cavities of the ceiling's auditory apparatus, doth regrettably sow the seeds of discontent, making for a truly unfortunate experience. Verily, the strains of the Crusader's Hymn or the alluring melodies of my Gates of Hades playlist, which would undoubtedly serve to elevate the spirit and invigorate the soul, are tragically rendered inaudible amidst this symphony of sonic discord. Alas, the potential for an experience of noble resonance is cruelly denied, ensnared in the snares of this deafening pile of garbage. In summation, whilst I remain unmoved by the financial ledger of Fuel Fitness, my judicious disposition impels me to bestow this review, as it stands a testament to both my generosity and the profundity of my discernment.

Overall I really like this gym because it is clean and people are friendly. Recently the hours changed from being open 24hrs to 5a-11p which conflicts with my work schedule and results in the gym being full right at 5am. It would nice if the hours were extended a bit more or if customers could get scan card access after hours to accommodate alternative schedules and thin out the crowd.

Since the remodel there is less equipment. Most of the equipment that was being used got taken out. Took out the cardio room to add more room but then replaced that space with a large turf mat that is taking up more room.

This gym needs more equipment. I waited over 30 minutes for the smith machine at the gym one day this week. Talk about inconsiderate and stuck in your own world, other people would like a turn on equipment. This place NEEDS another smith machine.

A really solid gym, solid variety of quality equipment. Even though space is quite limited, they find a way to pack in the essentials plus a bunch of ‘nice to have’ equipment. I really didn’t find anything lacking in terms of equipment. The staff was also very kind and each time I visited (3x during my 3 day stay in Montana) was pleasurable in terms of the staff interaction. The reason for 3 stars is simply that the place needs some TLC. The restrooms were pretty nasty (especially the toilets, all 3 days) and the gym overall could use a nice deep cleaning. It just wasn’t clean. At all. I’d absolutely train there again during another visit to Bozeman but I’d be hesitant to make it my home gym if I lived in the area.

This has been my go-to gym for the past year and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The equipment is new and the gym is kept very clean. The locker rooms are also very tidy and overall it is a great experience. The atmosphere is amazing and I love working out there. Also they are open 24 hour again. I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a gym in Bozeman.

Edit: I moved and had to close my account, but Fuel was professional and excellent the whole way. After testing several local gyms, I’m joining Fuel. My #1 favorite is actually the Hot Springs, because, well, duh - it’s epic. BUT the Hot Springs costs twice as much, it’s open half as much, and it’s out of town. Fuel has everything I need for a solid workout and a shower at a fair price. I do wish they had a bit more space for stretching (…and, like, a hot spring…) but we can’t have everything in this life. Fuel is very clean, a pleasant atmosphere, free towel service, friendly staff, great equipment, plenty of parking. They offer a 5 day free trial. Check it out!

10 star gym . I travel all across U.S on large music tours and hit many gyms . This gym is really clean , nice , all the equipment for CrossFit , bodybuilding , strength training , tons of cardio options , place for the kids . Why this spot doesn’t have 5 stars is wild . Noah at front desk is great , friendly , took care of us on a guest pass . The gyms goers are very friendly . A good gym , way better vibe than any other planet fitness . The hours on website was accurate . Very impressed , my new spot to hit . Looking forward to next time In this area .

First time at fuel in Bozeman, I had a membership at Kalispell and loved it and wanted to try the one in Bozeman. I talked to a shorter guy with glasses at the desk and he was super chill, nice, and got us set up. The actual gym had a really cool atmosphere and looked great. I went on a Monday and compared to other gyms it was not to busy and didn't really have to wait for anyone. Overall a soild gym and got a great lift in.

By the time I go to its not as packed as other gyms. It has a lot of everything to work out at your pace, without having to wait for others to finish their workout

It's a great little gym. All the necessary machines and equipment are present. Tons of cardio equipment considering the size of the place. It can get busy at certain times naturally.

gym space kinda sucks, its always crowded and the people that work there aren't very helpful. tried to cancel my membership but ended up having to pay an extra month for god knows what reason. I don't understand why this was so difficult to do
