Sharon Medical Clinic

Medical clinic Doctor

😠 If I could give less than 1 star I would. This office is just too busy, it takes weeks to get an appointment. The worst part, is when you call to make an appointment the receptionist asks why and she determines whether or not I’m sick enough to see a doctor. It’s very unprofessional, if I am in need... People often mention appointment, doctor, clinic, office,

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This office is just too busy, it takes weeks to get an appointment. The worst part, is when you call to make an appointment the receptionist asks why and she determines whether or not I’m sick enough to see a doctor. It’s very unprofessional, if I am in need or a doctor then make me an appointment, whether you think I’m sick enough or not I should be able to see my doctor when I want. I should not have to wait weeks to see them. Stop accepting patients when it gets to the point that people have to wait over 2 weeks to see their doctor. Another thing that bothers me is the amount of times I have shown up for an appointment I had booked and them tell me I don’t have an appointment so I now have to wait 2-5 more weeks for my appointment. Also, my son had his 6 month vaccines booked for a certain day, the day before my appointment they called and told me they ran out of the vaccine. This just seems unprofessional, I had my appointment booked for 2 months and you don’t have the vaccine? You knew I had the appointment you should have made sure to have enough of the vaccine. This whole clinic is just unprofessional and too busy. Would not recommend coming here. It’s ridiculous the things they say to you. And when you do call to make an appointment they put you on hold for a good 15 minutes every single time but when I’m in the office no one is ever on the phone… the doctors are Nice and all but it’s just not worth al, the inconvenience of making an appointment. I just hate how they receptionists think they can tell me I’m not sick enough to see my doctor. Not cool AT ALL. Especially when it’s for my 6 month old baby.

The staff is very nice but their scheduling system is terrible. They confirmed my appointment in the morning then called hours later telling me I need to reschedule because the Dr decided to go home for no serious reason. I’m a busy man and planned my schedule according to the appointment and they simply said “go to a walk in clinic or the emergency room” instead of making room for me on a different day. Good social skills but terrible organizing skills. They speak nicely but the things they say prove to me that they don’t care about their patients whatsoever.

I made the mistake of thinking this was a walk-in clinic based on what I typed into google and one of the top 5-star reviews. When I called to inquire about coming in for sexual health testing, the receptionist rudely and sternly corrected me that the clinic was strictly a family practitioner and to go elsewhere. No big deal, my mistake. But I was unimpressed with how this mix up was handled from a public service perspective. Not a great impression for somebody new to the area and looking for help.

Medical care before Covid has deteriorated understandly. But I find the clinic working hard to give the best medical care it can under these circumstances. My family doctor of many years phoned to inform me she was retiring & l’d need a find a new family doctor. Luckily I was able to get into Dr Hanna’s practice after my daughter & grandchild had words of praise about her. In my first visit she listened to my heart & referred me to a cardiologist who identified a heart problem. Imagine if I had not changed doctors! Upon requesting MY records sent to my new doctor my old office & retired doctor would only send them on after a very large fee per page. I thought they were MY health records & were paid for in each visit. Thank goodness for Dr Hanna & her thorough & intelligence of diagnosis of an issue that was unknown to me or in fact my old doctor. We must be patient & not be so quick to complain about wait times etc. We are not the only patients & victims of government non understanding of the older population expansion & need of medical care. Doctors & staff are also the victims & doing their best to accommodate us. Bless them!♥️

Great Doctors, efficient scheduling, they triage and have walk in appointments for the triaged patients, if their own Dr is unavailable. I have been with them for years, as well as my special needs daughter. Dr Boktor is our primary, very knowledgeable, but they are all great, as they stand in for eachother. The front office tries very hard to accommodate.

I got a family doctor here during covid. During this time booking an appointment was almost impossible but in the last year they have really stepped up! The receptionist always answer now and getting an appointment isn’t too bad (I was able to get one the next day). My family doctor is fantastic! She always listen to what I got going on and loves when I come in with my infant. I know most clinics have a bad rep anywhere you go but I honestly can’t complain about this place.

Yesterday, I hurt my finger and went to the emergency room. Today, the wound was bleeding, so I visited a local walk-in clinic and asked for a new dressing. However, after checking my card, the staff told me that they could not do it themselves and that I should go to another clinic. If that's the case, I really don't understand why the card was checked. I hope it will be a clinic that truly helps the local residents.

Dr. Hanna deserves a better rating because she is a compassionate and educated doctor who provided me with everything I needed during my time of need. Blaming their office for being extremely busy is not helpful. Being a patient in the Canadian healthcare system requires that we be our own best advocates, that means calling in for appointments, phoning back when they don't answer, and reminding the office if there are errors made. It just is what it is.
