I
must
start
by
saying
that
I
have
been
a
'Slices'
customer
for
15ish
years.
My
stepchild
and
I
and
lately
my
nephew
and
I
have
been
good
customers
in
that
time.
I
cannot
fault
Chris
the
owner,
who,
as
others
note
is
a
jovial
and
attentive
host.
My
problem
for
a
long
time
is
the
rest
of
the
staff.
This
morning
I
have
reached
the
point
where
I
can
no
longer
put
up
with
the
rudeness
and
passive
aggression
of
certain
members
of
the
team.
These
people
are
in
a
customer
service
industry!
There
is
no
interest
in
you,
I
never
get
a
'please'
or
a
'thank
you',
just
a
demand
for
money.
If
you
don't
like
dealing
with
people
find
a
new
job!
This
morning,
I
interrupted
a
good
gossip
with
my
annoying
request
for
food.
The
person
in
question
then
went
back
her
conversation
without
giving
me
my
coffee
that
was
still
sat
in
the
machine.
When
I
asked
from
my
seat
for
my
coffee
it
was
deliberately
put
on
the
counter
for
me
to
get
up
and
fetch
for
myself.
The
quality
of
the
food
is
not
what
it
once
was
either.
Staff
hide
burnt
toast
in
the
middle
of
the
pile,
assuming
that
no-one
will
complain;
and
the
killer
for
a
'greasy
spoon'
is
that
no-one
is
able
to
cook
a
runny
fried
egg.
I
am
so
disappointed.
The
staff
will
not
give
a
fig
that
I
will
never
go
there
again,
but
'Slices'
has
been
a
mainstay
of
my
family's
past
for
many
years
and
I
regret
that
I
shall
not
be
going
again
