Good food and drink, friendly waiting and serving statf but the kitchen was struggling to keep up resulting in a bit of a wait for gravy and replacement carvery options. Will probably visit again when quieter. :update: just received a parking fine for our visit... Will not be visiting again after all.

We had travelled from Wales and had a difficult journey. Jess your manageress was very welcoming and found us a table with no problem. I am disabled and she kindly moved the chair for me. My husband went to carvery for the two of us. The server Matty was friendly and chatty. Also would like to compliment Scott our server. He too was friendly and welcoming. A good team!. Many thanks.

Our server Joseph Day was lovely and friendly and very welcoming. Just wish there was better veg! Peas are a bit disappointing and the sauce on the cauliflower cheese tasted like it’s from a packet other than that everything else was nice!

Awful experience yesterday me and my sister's normally go for a carvery once a month if we can, So when we turned up wasn't that busy yet had to wait at front for a while to be seated as seemed to be only two people at front working and when finally seated went to get food and this was a first for us the carver asked us what meat we wanted and we told him which he proceeds to cut and give us one really small slice of each (turkey and beef)I asked for more meat and he said were not allowed yet this is the first time we have ever had such small baby portions as everything they had out was just getting shuffled into takeout boxes they cared more about boxing up than food then people who actually there to eat And to make it worse it got busy and with only two waitresses it got backed up and wasn't helping that all the cooks where more focused on getting takeout orders ready then serving people there, was actually a waste of money picked up mcdonald's on way home the portions where that small.

We had no issues whatsoever whilst we were there, all staff were so polite. Special mention to the chef serving the carvery, he was extremely polite, smile on his face, making conversation with every customer, asking how our day was going etc. What a lovely young man! He deserves a special mention, he made our day he was lovely, I even said to my daughter when we went to sit down what a lovely young man.

I had one of the best times here with my friends. The staff made sure we had everything we needed. They checked up on us with our food. It was such a great atmosphere. The food was delicious 😋. This place is open to everyone and are kid friendly. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Me and my group of friends have been a regular at Bradford Toby’s for years. We went elsewhere mid-late last year as the standard slipped and it was no longer enjoyable. Through word of mouth we heard a new manager had taken over and standard was higher than before. They were correct. We met Andy and instantly felt welcomed. We were reassured that our stay would be enjoyable and it sure was. It was nice to see management friendly, down to earth and interacting with customers rather than nowhere to be seem. The food was amazing, service I couldn’t fault and lovely to see a manger than actually seemed to care about the business. Word of mouth was right, the best visit we’ve had so far, our Toby Thursdays are back on. Glad to be back and better than ever!

Our visit today my grandson was feeling sick our waiter Scott was so helpful and kind. He is a credit to your company, nice and friendly. The food was really good and all fresh. I will definitely be visiting again, and will be recommending to family and friends. Big thank you to Scott once again

Popped in on our way home as you can’t go wrong with a Toby carvery, when we walked in we saw the manager Andy who was welcoming and very polite, he asked if we had been there before and if we were hungry, always good to see the high ups working with the staff. We were served by Mia who was great and friendly. Food was great, hot and tasty as you would expect, Mia checked up with us asked if everything was good. Would definitely recommend going in when in the area.

Steve who serves the carvery is a really lovely guy. Always chatty and a warm welcome. The food is always presented well and fresh. All the staff are welcoming and polite. Always go to Rooley Lane and we live in Leeds so the distance is worth it.

Who said you need to wait for Sunday to eat roast dinner? Toby is a favourite but the Bradford one is one of the best I’ve ever been to. The food was fantastic but the service was even better. The manager was super welcoming and Harley was so kind and lovely. Roast dinners will forever be at Bradford from now on.

It was brilliant, staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Lovely Geordie chef behind the meat but reminded me of home and was amazing with my kids, the other chef also helped my little girl without being asked. Staff were really quick to tidy up, handled it getting busy really well. Everything was clean and easy to find. Manager behind the bar was incredibly friendly too and was from near me! Brill place.

I regularly meet friends at TC on Rooley Lane, its a great place and the best TC in the local area by far. Currently opening later due to staff shortages and when I turned up early, I was let in out of the cold to keep warm. Spoke to Coral the new Assist Mgr. Absolute fantastic service. Thank you!

Dropped into Toby for a quick carvery today, first time in over 20 years, never really rated it before.... what a change, the food was amazing, the guys working there were friendly, polite and very attentive. Nothing bad to say, two massive carvery's and two cokes 24 quid, can't argue at that.

It's a really good place for a roast. Steve, I think, is a great asset to this branch; very friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is that if you order something off of the menu, such as a dessert, it takes a really long time to come and that's even if the carvery is empty! Other than that, it's worth a visit.

The food was bang on. Nothing was too much for the chefs and the serving staff who made my girls extra happy. Extra syrup for pancakes from chef jodie and interaction with the kids from manager Andy and server Scott :)

food was hot and tasty, server on carvery was very friendly engaging with customer about their day. Mia the bartender was amazing, working solo on the bar at such a busy time, she remained pleasant and friendly delivering excellent customer service and although busy she remained calm at all times. Truly a asset to the establishment and needs to be appreciated.

Not been to a Toby in years. Really impressed with quality and choice of 4 meats. The veg selection was plentiful and the roast potatoes spot on. Great value in my opinion. 👍🏻

One of the best Tobey's I've tried. Been for Breakfast, Lunch and Tea on Sundays and other days. Just good quality food for the cash with pleasant service and environment.

Called in today with the family for lunch. We were welcomed by the manager Andy with a very warm welcome. Upon visiting the carvery unit Steve was amazing with both the kids (and the man child) and explained everything to them. The carvery was fully stocked with 4 different meats and a huge selection of veg (even the fussy eater went back for seconds)! Would also like to say how amazing the service was from the waitress Mia, she was so polite and went to get the hungry child another plate of Mac and cheese. Great experience and will definitely be back.

Been here on father's day today, and was expecting it to be so busy and waiting for ages, but not the case at all! Fabulous service, felt totally welcome, and can I say - since my last visit to a Toby which was a while ago, the Veggie menu has improved 100% lovely food, well prepared and hot. Perfect service. Thanks to all the staff involved, we all enjoyed 😉 👍

I love Sunday dinners. They’re my favourite meal!! I just wish they had a greater range of vegetables like broccoli, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts. It’s mainly just meat, potatoes and the most basic boring veg. Like carrots and peas. Nice veg, but we need more variety.

The carver who served the carvery needs to be more respectful to customers who have dietary requirements, but the meal was amazing, and I loved how you can go back to get more vegetables. I also really liked the Unlimited soft drinks, however, the floor where the drinks machines are was wet and slippery

We went to Toby Carvery for the first time in quite a few years. The food was really nice, good selection of meats and vegetables. Staff were pleasant. The only thing I would say that could improve the restaurant is new carpet or tiles round the food area and looks a little unsightly but will definitely visit them again.

Great meal. Same decor as most Toby carvery’s. Is a busy one so make sure you book before arriving. Never had so many meat choices, there was pork, ham, turkey, lamb, beef and pigs in blankets. The mashed and roast potatoes were excellent. They even had Mac and cheese which was a good addition.

The meat and vegetables were well presented and plentiful BUT were not very warm and being served with a cold plate, the meal soon became cold. This. unfortunately, is not unusual and is the reason we do not attend the restaurant as much as we would wish. Your other restaurants have a similar problem. The 50% off e-mail voucher was appreciated.

Still good food with decent portions. Good quality and pleasant staff. Rather understaffed at moment and takes a good while for table to be cleared and next course served. Some of the veg is almost cold by the time you return to your seat. Lids should be replaced when no customers are queuing.. need veg variation, last 3 weeks it's been same old.

What was great? Absolutely nothing. Barely anything left despite our booking being accepted online. A nice 14 mile journey to find a tiny amount of Beef and Gammon left with Veg looking as dry as it was in the ground. No Turkey or Pork at all and a pittance of a display. Left without eating. Massive shame because on our precious visit it was immense. This was 7pm! 😳

Pretty awful. We had dinner here tonight and it wasn’t a great experience. The deck wasn’t as full as it should have been. There was very little veg, the roasties were burned, the mash was clearly old as it was congealed and almost impossible to get off the spoon and the stuffing with hard and crumbly. The surface around the deck was full of old food that had dropped and needed cleaning desperately. Both sides. The pork was very dry and cold, and the Yorkshire puddings were almost flat and pooling with grease. The condiments bar was almost empty - only a scraping of mint and apple sauces. The food didn’t taste good - either really greasy or bland. Although the fresh gammon was lovely - but that and the turkey were about the only things that looked remotely fresh. I didn’t feel well towards the end of the meal and excused myself only to find myself being violently sick. The bathroom was also filthy - stains in the toilets. Horrible snot like marks around the sinks. The bathroom stinks of damp. We’re both very shy and polite and we just paid quietly and left quietly without complaining. A horrible, upsetting and disappointing experience leaving me poorly in bed this evening. Waste of time and money - we won’t be returning.

The food was OK, the portion of meat was unbelievable a child could eat more, we received around a 1/4 of a slice, my husband did pay the extra but this was no different to my normal size. Unfortunately the only product which was hot was the gravy. Then to top it all we got sent to 3 different members of staff to pay our bill. It was a real shame as the food would of been amazing if hot.

I had to mark it one due to the fact I got a parking ticket!! Even though I'd put my information into the computer tablet. This wasn't on😡 Update: I've managed to cancel the parking ticket. The reply was on this occasion we will cancel the ticket, but on further visits please input your car registration on entering the restaurant....they obviously have not read my complaint properly!!

Hello there. We visited today as we always do for our weekly lunch date, now we always enjoy our time at Rooley Lane Toby but today we decided we really need to bring to your attention the absolute delightful carver you have working there. Jacob ( we found out his name as we paid) is an absolute credit to your team, he always greets each and every customer and takes time to genuinely ask how they are, how their day is going and just makes the whole experience at the carvery welcoming and pleasant. It is so refreshing to find someone these days that absolutely loves doing what you’re doing and I really hope that Jacob gets the recognition he thoroughly deserves. Thank you Jacob, for being an inspiration and making our weekly visit just that little bit brighter. Dave and Kate.

Lovely carvery, the decor is a tad run down. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. We did however have to sit and look at our drinks, they had been poured but we had to prompt staff that we were still waiting. I nearly went up to collect them myself. If it had been busy I would understand, but it wasn't.
