Absolutely atrocious place with horrible staff. My mum had chest and heart pain, and was advised to go this hospital (BRI) urgently by the GP. We were waiting 6 hours+ and my mum had blood tests done. The blood tests came back in good results, however they insisted to take two more blood tests!!! the nurses/doctor were injecting my mums arm multiple time and now she has really sore arms, this was totally unnecessary. The doctor then said to my mum "you'll die tomorrow due to your heart condition", this is definitely something no one would like to hear. She insisted for my mum to sleep in for further investigation to be made. We were suspicious and uncomfortable with what she said. So we left as soon as possible. The NHS can not be trusted with people lives, especially if the patient is non-white as they'll try to kill you whenever they have the chance or alternatively you would be neglected, looked down upon and be treated cruelly instead. This is the truth. There is no NHS and it never were, it's NDS, National Death Service!!! Any comments you'd see in their favour are untrue, false or scripted.

If I could leave -0 stars I would, absolutely disgusted with the treatment of my mum. In my eyes sent home to die because of no bed space when her heart rate was high above and irregular. Within in hours of being back we had to call the ambulance who checked strongly advices to transport her back. BRI is failing the people of Bradford I am hearing other stories of people sat in ambulances for hours.

Refered by 111. Stayed 10 hours just to measure the temperature and blood pressure. Nobody called my name for these 10 hours. I'm pregnant and exhausted. Fed up with the staff. I will never come here again. Please avoid it especially when you are pregnant and in risk of miscarriage like I am. It will become worse if you just wait sitting there.

Father in law had a stroke, the care from entering the hospital to date has been nothing but poor no its been shockingly poor. The first night the nurse pushed my husband out WITHOUT taking any contact details or even telling where the patient was going. This was in A&E absolutely disgusted the way she spoke when asked where they were taking father in law. Its been 4 weeks and still in hospital. My father has lost movement and speech. The staff miss his breakfast, they leave him laying in feaces for hours on end. As all the reviews say all the staff do is stand around talking. Being in the hospital is wanting to accelerated serious illness or even death. The staff are rude condescending and have absolutely no intention of offering care in any shape of form. They withhold information. It's like a guessing game what the staff are doing and why to your loved ones. Absolutely awful staff at ward 17 should be ashamed of themselves. Pray no-one ends up here. They deserve zero stars. Peace out

Its a joke! This place needs to be overtaked by someone who actually cares about people and their health! My partner was recomended by 111 to get to A&E URGENTLY. When she got there it took them 3 hours just to take blood sample. Then another 6 hours to be seen by a doctor! She spent over 12 hours in waiting room crying in pain. Nurses don't care about people in waiting room, the are just miding their own business. They are being rude. This place is rotten. This system is rotten.

We visited paediatrics A&E for my little boy who came in with quite a bit of pain, they didn’t even check him over properly and was very lazy about it, to top it of the staff was so rude, the nurses went round offering biscuits and juice to all the children but totally ignored and skipped past my boy was this because he was the only white child well that’s what we left thinking, they claimed they was incredibly busy but are happily sat at round talking amongst each other and not seeing to people properly, we ended up leaving without being seen by the doctor as they said it’s another 4 hour wait, my child left this hospital extremely upset and I will never take my children back to this hospital! The way they treated my child was appalling.

Have sat here for 5 hours, since 2am in morning. Still haven’t been seen, none of the vending machines work either. Have paid to buy a drink and the bottle got stuck. Tried buying a chocolate even that got stuck. I lost my money. I don’t have a taxi to get home. I have a severe heart disfunction yet the the consultation nurses want to see people with a small cut or pains. The receptionist says it’s very busy behind the scenes yet all doctors are talking and eating crisps. Waste of tax payers money. Yet the NHS wants to go on strikes for payment rise. There are 4 consultation rooms and only 12 people to be seen but can’t see the queue going smaller more patients are walking in. People don’t deserve to clap for the NHS.

I think the staff need a test for amnesia or something. It took 9H for my Grandma with pneumonia to be seen. She was rushed to the hospital and didn't have time to pick up her medication. When she got to the hospital, she informed the staff that she needed her meds. They said they'd get them for her... They never returned with them. This hospital seems really disorganized. Nobody seems to know what they're doing and it's been this way for years.

Absolutely the worst hospital ever. Went out in for my son at midnight and waited for more than 7 hours. In the space of them 7 hours only one person was seen to by a nurse. Other patients kept on asking how long the wait was until they were seen to and they added another 8 hours. People were giving up and going home. The staff are absolutely rude. I can appreciate that the NHS is under a lot of pressure but i too work in the NHS but this was absolutely disgusting. The nurses at BRI HAVE NO INTENTION TO SEE THE PATIENTS AT ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT PEOPLE WILL GIVE UP AND GO HOME BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THEY WON'T BE SEEN TO.

awful place. I arrived with my little son at 9pm and we waited until 3 am for the doctor to send us home, the next day we came back with the same symptoms as one day earlier, but we did not see the doctor. my son was so tired and in pain after two nights in board chairs that I took him home. 5 hours of waiting just for one nurse to measure his temperature and enter something into the computer. horror

Wish I could give 0 stars for the negligence I experienced at BRI. Went to BRI A&E with chest pain and heart palpitations at 9.30am had an ECG done and was sent up to same day emergency care where I spent the whole day untill 8 at night waiting for the doctor (Dr Khan at SDEC) to tell me she didnt know why I was having these palpitations and couldnt explain it, did not take me seriously and didnt listen to me. I was even told by one of the nurses that she was sorry about my care and the wait and its because they have a new doctor. The next day I went to LGI as I wasnt happy with my care I received at BRI. Here I received amazing care and was told I have a blood clot on the lung and will be on blood thinners for the next 6 months. I am so glad I didnt trust this women. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOURS OR A LOVED ONES HEALTH!!!!

Five star treatment given to my elderly relative in A&E. Once on a ward, the excellent care continued. My relative loved the nurses and other staff, who were all caring and very professional. They have treated them with dignity and explained the treatment and related issues to us throughout. They've been in there for over three weeks now, slowly recovering from the most serious of starts in their hospital stay. I feel happy to for my relative to be a patient there for as long as the recovery takes, and that they are getting the best care possible. So many staff have cared for my relative on different wards/departments, and across different shifts. They've all been awesome, and that can't just be a coincidence given the number of staff we have crossed paths with. A massive heartfelt thanks from me and my family.

I don’t tend to leave reviews but I saw some negative ones on here and thought they deserved some positivity…. We’re not from the area and were just in Bradford this afternoon. My wife cut her arm quite deeply and required medical attention. We attended the A&E department and she was seen, stitched and strapped up in just over 1 hour. We were back in the car and on our way. I appreciate waiting times do vary and can be a lot longer. But from our own experience today I felt it was worth mentioning how impressed we were.

My 94 year old mother was admitted after having a stroke. They put her on a medication she told them she was allergic to and she got seriously ill. She repeatedly told them she was allergic but they continued the medication. It gave her severe diarrhea, so they slapped a diaper on and left her in bed. When she needed to go to the bathroom she rang the bell but no one came and she heard the nurse say not to bother answering that call. She crawled to the bathroom by herself where they reluctantly helped her onto the toilet and then left her there for two hours. This was done on more than one occasion. Other elderly ladies were left completely naked with a sick bucket on their chest all day. My mother is a tough lady but she said it was the most callous treatment of the elderly she's ever seen. Fortunately she went on medication strike and refused the meds they were giving her and she started to improve almost immediately. She managed to get well enough to go home and said she will never go back there for any reason. Sadly due to covid restrictions, guests were not allowed so these poor elderly patients weren't even able to tell their family about the treatment. I don't care how busy you are, if you don't have compassion for your patients you shouldn't be in that profession. Disgusted.

Was sent urgently by 111! Over 7 hours and still not seen. The reception staff were arrogant and rude. Constantly lied too so took myself home. I was sent originally as half my body was swollen, left eye badly swollen the pain in my head was unbearable, blacking out, after 5 hours I asked politely how much longer to be told another 2 hours, I'm breathing so not a priority. Absolute joke of a hospital

Horrible! Avoid this hospital at all costs. Better off travelling to Calderdale! I had a severe kidney infection - doctor confirmed and contacted ward 5 to administer IVABX at 11.30am. Ward 5 nurses and doctors did not care at all! It took them till 23.30 to put a cannula on me and give me the IVABX only after I made a scene and and informed them I am a nursing associate at another trust! - 12 hours to give me ABX for a severe kidney infection. the nurses did not introduce them self. Left me without water till 7.30pm - no eye contact was made and was fobbed off with silly answers. They were not busy as I was observing and having worked in more busier wards they were being straight up lazy!!! I could have gone septic and organ failure! Some of these should not be nurses at all. The way I was treated. You would not even treat a dog this way. And to top it of my discharge was horrendous! I feel sorry for those patients that cannot speak for themselves! Really is poor care! And to top it off my discharge notes had the wrong information! When a family member called up to chase my discharge - the nurse informed that doctor on duty said “it’s not my problem, it’s on the list and when I get to it, it will get done” - horrible attitude.

I attended A&E recently with a severely injured middle finger and was sent straight away for an X-Ray, the consultation afterwards was a little poor to say the least, I was fobbed off and told to go get physio, .... I was sent to go see my GP and arrange it through them. As it happens, I never needed physio in the first place, my GP referred me straight back to the BRI to see the Plastics Trauma & Dressings Dept, who fully assessed the injury and diagnosed a “Vola Plate” injury, commonly known as “Jammed Finger” !!

The Asian security men are worth sacking, utterly disgraceful behaviour by shazad the man behind my complaint. He tried blocking me 3x from seeing my ill elderly father by lying he already has visitors when i was the only one who booked a visit. After i CHALLENGED him he backed off. Imagine if i went home....and that was the last time i potentially could have seen him alive???? These sick individuals need to be sacked as he lied just to prevent me visiting my dad for no reason whatsoever. Im in the process of making a formal complaint.

Took my mother to A&E from 12 midnight waited till 9 am no doctor seen her, unfortunately had leave as she was super tired of long waiting. The nurse took her Covid test then waiting for doctor was a nightmare. She needed to see someone so she may calm down and her feeling get better but unfortunately it didn’t go very well and stayed all night and the people who work there couldn’t give estimate time given the estimate and it was just getting extending and extending. People who came after us went through and we were still waiting mother could not stay any longer very bad experience. 👎 come home now trying to find private clinics who can help her. Big thumbs down 👎 to you guys. We nearly been there for whole 12 hours ): missed my study still got no results from them.

My wife went into the A+E dept and had to wait 11hrs to be seen by the doctor, we went in at 10pm and it just seemed that after triage the dept was used as a holding pen until the day shift came in. There was a minimal security presence which added to the joy of waiting in the BRI. I appreciate the staff have to deal with some idiots but they all seemed unapproachable and unwilling to to help anybody, even a lady who was clearly in lots of pain, distress and very poory. She was practically begging to be seen and the nurse just said "the wait is 4-7 hrs".It's a sad indictment of the modern NHS when patients are the only people willing to give any palliative care to this woman. Even the cleaner shouted at her for being sick in the cardboard tubs. I'm not a soft person but I was genuinely disgusted with the treatment this woman got.

Well what can I say about Bradford Royal Infirmary when my wife,s life needed saving they were there and she received the best possible care. The team on Ward 18 were the best anyone could hope to have looking after them in their hour of need. The domestic team, ward team to the top surgeon were all friendly and professional and safe hands to place your life in,we will be forever in their debt .

There’s people all complaining here. Yet 90% of cases at bri daily are none emergency cases. And are all urgent care/chronic matters. Which all should be dealt by there GP…not the emergency department! Maybe if people stopped attending the hospital for stupid reasons. We wouldn’t have these long waiting times. And staff wouldn’t be so over worked. We re so fortunate to have the NHS. Where we get free treatment. Id like to see people complaining in trying to pay for treatment in the US and then seeing your reactions. Respect the free services available to us. Don’t abuse them.

My mum was taken to the hospital and was seen to in A&E very quickly. She was admitted and started on treatment. Because of her health issues, disorientation and confusion, as well as needing someone to physically feed her, she required 24 hour supervision and the ward was really understanding of her needs and allowed a family member to stay with her at all times. The nurses were amazing and when we explained our reluctance to have her moved to a different ward, they took the time to understand our concerns and did their best to accommodate my mums needs. She was moved to ward 17 before she was sent home and once again the care she received was amazing. Hospital staff are super busy given the pandemic but still make the time to ensure patients receive a great level of care. Thank you to all the staff on ward 1 and 17 who really went above and beyond for my mum.

I hate that I have to write a review about a hospital that is clearly struggling. I am very proud of the NHS and it’s such a shame that they are so over worked and understaffed that it’s affects the patients. ALL THE STAFF at the hospital clearly work as hard as they can but you can tell they are just about to combust. I myself have lived in a 3rd world country and been in the hospitals and I hate to compare the BRI to them but that is what it felt like yeaterday. (I am British) My 16 year old was in a waiting room been hooked up to a drip with antibiotics, steroid and painkillers and then have to sit on a hard plastic chair for 8 hours because there are no facilities to accommodate her. Keep on having to ask for drips to be changed, fluids and at one point I had to bring to their attention a young girl just left on the floor in agony. People just walking past her and ignoring her. I am shocked at what the NHS has become. No fault of the staff but what the government has done to it. I said to my daughter, if I’m ever ill please don’t ever bring me here. Today I have signed up for private medical care for myself and my family. I’ve jumped before it come crashing down, which I think it has already done so. Rest in peace NHS

This is by far the worst hospital I have ever seen. Unorganised, unfriendly, rude and ignorant staff. The receptionist are rude and unfriendly, if you call them they will refuse you access to your own records so good luck getting any results if you go to a&e, even if they tell you to call back for results after sending you home. You will get tests done very quickly but be waiting hours to be seen for resultswhich you probablywont get. I wouldn't know how long you'll be waiting because after 8 hours of waiting I still wasn't seen after being referred to a&e by the out of hours go with heart problems on emergency basis. There was patients there who had waited 10 hours as well and there was clearly no sign of any doctor coming. After 8 hours I went to find a nurse or doctor because I was tired and feeling unwell just to find 4 nurses chatting in a consult room having a coffee and laughing about patients they'd seen. Not a single doctor came ti a&e in 3 hours and when you ask receptionists they will get rude with you and say there's more pressing issues than you. I get this but the service was appalling. There was a man unconscious on the floor and all they said when multiple people asked for help for him at reception was " he must be cold and drunk its his own fault" the man was clearly sick not drunk. Oh and when you do get tests done, don't bother telling nursed you allergic to stuff because they will ignore it and use the stuff your allergic to anyway. I have an awful allergy to medical tape and the nurse put it on my arm and just went " oh your not allergic to this are you" before asking me or even letting me stop him. Oor service and poor staff.

Rang me at 10:30 and told me to come in for 11 for surgery , I lived in Halifax which would take over 30 minutes. Change lad time to 12. I arrived at 11:30, it’s been 4 hours and I’m still not seen to. Why tell me to come in just to have me sat here for 4 hours. It’s lazy and unorganised. These people moan that they’re rushed off their feet yet managed to stand in groups talking for hours.

The worse hospital in UK. The doctor are good but the nurses are so bad and some of then cant speak English properly and staff are very disrespectful and don't care about patients care. Try to call 5 times today and no one pick the phone at hospital that is a joke. NHS is run so badly I have to pay money for something like this I would prefer private hospital and not pay any money to this NHS.

Worst hospital in the UK, staff are very disrespectful and don't care about patients care. They think all patients come to just waste time. Especially the head surgeon are just to stuck up and they say to you where you pain is in your body so they are too experienced because they know what pain a person feels 👏. They don't do the right diagnosis and then apologies for there mistakes but, the condition had worsened. I just don't know how they became doctors just because they got the grades at least have some humbleness as, a human but they feel that they rule the hospital. I'm just disappointed about where my taxes are going towards.

Horrible hospital and staff were extremely unfriendly. Took my daughter to the ER after a suicide attempt and we called an ambulance for her, it took them over 2 hours to reach our home and my daughter had fainted multiple times due to blood loss. She was not given any bandages or medical attention in the ambulance and the responders only kept asking her questions. I had to use my own jacket to stop her from bleeding everywhere. Finally got to the ER and we waited there for 5 hours. She eventually was given some bandages by the lovely nurse who was working at the front desk and we were extremely thankful for it. After 5 hours of being taken in to do blood tests and being ignored by staff, we took her to another hospital where she was attended to immediately. My child could have lost her life that night and nobody did anything. I would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

If you have a broken leg, don’t go to BRI. I was lied to by doctors after having a frame which was only supposed to be in for 2 weeks but was in for 9 weeks, told it was going well and will be removed soon. Was given no physio told bedrest and to keep leg elevated 24/7 and given no blood thinners, which I now know could cause a blood clot. Outpatient appointments were a mess and a 4 hours wait to be seen for a scheduled appointment. When I was referred to LGI, they were shocked that I’d had that in for 9 weeks and any longer it could’ve caused some damage. They said I shouldn’t have been discharged with that alone, let alone 2+ months at home. As for pre and post op told one thing before and one thing after. The leg consultant at LGI saw my leg and sent strict instructions to BRI to never do this again and refer patients like me, because guess what they don’t have a leg specialist. I was also told this by a nurse at BRI after being told my leg hasn’t healed at all in 8 week, why did they even choose to treat me. Honestly they need to have some common sense and don’t try a surgery if they aren’t qualified and refer to the specialists.

My partner had an operation. After surgery on a Friday, he was monitored and on painkillers. The next day, he was checked on Every hour. All good. Then the problems began. No one spoke to him about the operation after, how it went! The nurse was sarcastic, saying your told about your procedure before. My reply, not when your told that until your opened up, we can’t see if it’s two operations or one! After care a joke, told pain team need to see you before you leave, then told that’s wrong don’t work weekends. Nurses contradicted each other. Sometimes they we’re hard to understand, language barriers! Poor communication. Asked for an ambulance home as immobilised. And feeling very unsafe and vulnerable on crutches, as full leg in a pot. Told don’t know if that’s in The budget! Can’t you get a lift? I’m not saying the nurses don’t care, or not looking after patients, But the system is broken Made a very upsetting time, a trauma

After a recent visit to visit a friend and a Family member. I spoke to some of the Nurses most were very polite and helpful. However you have some Nurses who are very Rude, arrogant and Nasty. I asked a nurse who was sat at her work station I politely asked if I could have a post it note so has I could put my mothers name on some food which I brought up. She was not in a computer doing any work related activities she was in her own personal phone. Anyhow when I asked she said rudely she was busy and to come back later. So when I approached her just before visiting time was over she looked at me with distain picked herself up out of the chair she’d been sat in the whole time I was visiting and went off somewhere I then asked another staff member for the post it note and was given one in a matter of seconds. So is it below that staff nurses pay grade to get me a post it note it seemed so. The NHS under some of your staff members is making the NHS go to the pits You need to train these ppl the etiquette to be polite to all visitors and patients I’m not being racist ok because I myself am Black these Nurses are from other parts of the World and they do not belong in them NHS RUDE ARROGANT AND VILE Once again the NHS Is going to the pits. If these people can’t be friendly or helpful then they DO NOT DESERVE TO WORK WITHIN THE NHS. Im fuming I really wanted to tell her about herself but i bit my tongue I can assure you if I had have done she wouldn’t be happy about it Horrible staff Horrible service because of Arrogant Rude Disgusting individuals. This was in ward 6 and was in June She is a Staffing Nurse how the hell she got qualified is beyond me Just to finish myself my mother and siblings have all worked with in the NHS and I can honestly say we respected Visitors and Patients I hope you can have a word with these ppl who think it’s ok to talk or treat visitors with such arrogant behaviour I wish I’d have taken note of her name because her name would’ve been on this review Horrible staff

Ward 26 smells worse that the worse smell you've ever smelt. The visitor toilet for ward 26 was in a horrific state. Didn't look as if it had been cleaned for days. The pan was clean tho. Nurse had a bit of a botox problem on her face did not feel good after that. Was told go to the wrong room. They left us wandering every room to find my uncle. Cigarette ends on the floor when entering ward 26. Nurses have not been taught manners.

The ambulance was very quick to arrive. But the service is a disgrace. People came after us and were seen and we were left waiting without any care. No questions whether ee needed any painkillers or assistance. Just left to rot. When asked questions the staff just foged us off and told keep waiting. 3 hours later they told us we were in the wrong department. So the waiting started all over again. Do not get treatment from here. You'll tear your hair out in frustration for sure

I cannot fault the treatment and car I have and am receiving.my question my hubby can come for an hour a day visiting after travelling for 45 mins. With a mask on. When there visitors coming to the ward no masks visiting after hours and staying during the day for more than the hour. They have been sat here 5 hours now it's so annoying

Disgusting waiting times over 12 hours wait to be told u are being admitted into a ward after attending A & E department. To see a nurse it took over an hour all she did ask the same question when I came in and she also did BP. Waited 6 hours to be told to go to the green waiting area was seen by a doctor quickly but had to wait another 5/6 hours to be shifted to an ward disgusting. Whilst in the Green waiting room the nurse i spoke to had an attitude when I asked him why we were waiting hours for a bed in ward if there was an option if we could go home and the call us to come back

I am grateful to have FREE medical treatment on the NHS. Following my visit to the A&E dept. I was admitted to Bradford hospital with a severe infection and was treated immediately. The staff are brilliant and attentive. I witnessed first hand the appalling way they are treated by some patients - shouting, kicking and language to say the least. Think twice before you leave a bad review for these NHS workers, they work hard and put up with often poor working conditions (would you continue going to work to be abused every day?) It's all well and good standing on the doorstep clapping during lockdown - I think more people need to appreciate them every day. Just my opinion....

The waiting time is over 9 hours for A&E which is ridiculous, receptionists are a bunch of clowns who only tell you there's no time scale or limit of when someone would see you. When you get called in the doctor's spend 5 minutes on you so I wonder what takes so long to call the next person in. They probably sit around for an hour before they call the next patient in, no wonder you get called in after 9+ hours.

What an absolute disgrace, nursing is supposed to be a caring profession, But how can nurse's care for patients when senior staff show no duty of care to the nurse's. Having witnessed this on several occasions I feel that this needs to be addressed urgently To prevent nurse's leaving the profession Bullying in the this work place is absolutely disgusting

admitted to Ward 5 BRI they have the horrendous “Pods” actually the pods would be ok if they had proper beds (fortunately was moved into side room) but they have also got the best staff (all staff) cannot fault them, had a scare last evening chest pains (not been admitted for that) they were on it like a car bonnet. Stats done, ecg, chest X-ray, spray given not been diagnosed with Angina but said would help. Had stats done few times and 2am just done them again. Down side am not getting any sleep. They are brilliant xx

Saw a triage nurse called Shauna Power. Best nurse we’ve ever seen, helped us out with my wife’s urgent requirements. A shining light within an otherwise stretched and subsequently bleak NHS in my opinion.

Dislocated my shoulder a few weeks ago. They had it back in within half an hour. They've followed up with some excellent physio etc. from some really knowledgeable and friendly people. Feel very fortunate to live in a country where I can get all this for free. Thank you guys.

Went to A&E department today, as I had torn calf muscle at the gym. Nurse and Doctors were professional, experienced friendly. Had to wait an hour to see the doctor and then was sent to physiotherapist department for crutches It was explained how to use these and practiced up and down stairs. They then made a follow up appointment with a physiotherapist at a hospital of my choice. I was I able to leave within 2 hours. Very positive experience.

Was advised by 111 to go up to BRI to see a doctor! Arrived at BRI and my bloods and obs were done within half n hour. That’s when it began to go downhill I was sat in the waiting room for about 4 and a half hours, my partner asked how long will it be till my partner is seen by a doctor he got told she’s the next one. About an hour after I still hadn’t been seen so again my partner went to the nurses reception and asked if there was any update to which he was informed there’s 8 people now in front of her So he kindly asked them if they would be able to send the results to my GP. Baring in mind I have epilepsy and I still hadn’t had my night dosage which is fairly important for me to take as well as this we only had one more bus before the bus service had stopped for the night. To which the nurse replied if she wants to get her results from the GP then she is going to have to book an appointment with her GP to get her bloods done again! I am fuming that I was told by 111 to go to BRI to get seen for them to not give me any sort of explanation. I’m fuming with the service I had got from the nurses up there.

Attended BRI tonight for my partner who was advised by 111 so attended the hospital as soon as possible, as we arrived the reception staff were wonderful and so we're the triage staff they were lovely, as we were asked to go through to the green zone for bloods to be taken which was a fairly quick process and took no time at all. After 2 hours of waiting to see a doctor I asked the staff how far in the doctors que was my partner to be seen and she was 2nd on their list, after waiting another 45 minutes I asked again if she was next to be seen and was then told by said staff that she is now 8th in the queue. I don't drive and we had to attend by bus and had no money or family to pick us up after she had been seen I kindly asked if they could send her results to her GP as my partner is epileptic and needed to take her night time dosage and we had to catch the final bus home otherwise we would of been stranded at the hospital with no way home and my partner been severely at risk of a seizure. The staff member in particular I had spoken to was rude and awful as we were only trying to get some help with my partners problem and instead was disgusted by the behaviour and attitude from certain staff members.

Pathetic hospital and staff! I was advised by NHS to go quickly to A&E , Nurse took blood test and ECG after 3 hours and after than I waited for 12 hours in pain and was constantly shivering. I asked them to give me a pain killer and they refused and told me to wait! I ended up coming home without going in as I was in massive pain and 104 fever. Heartless people! Pathetic system! Lastly, when I asked them to send me my blood test report they said you’re self discharging and your treatment will end here. Hence we won’t give you any results. I mean WTH?

This is the best hospital by far in my experience, I had a server preeclampsia and as soon as I arrived in hospital I was attended urgently with so much care, doctors and nurses were very caring and polite. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl through emergency c-section and I was supported throughout the pains and struggle of the operation. I was also supported with breastfeeding my baby girl as I’m a first time mom. Our family was treated with kindness, respect and care. I could go on and on, all I want to say is a big thank you to the NICU team their the best.

I can not thank enough Resuscitation team and ward 6 who were amazing to my mum who had a massive stroke. Ones who complain re long waiting times should be lucky that their loved ones are not serious ill to need immediate trestment like my mum did. An amazing hospital.Thankyou

Ward 18 fantastic worker on ward called Grace. Very understanding although run off her feet most of the time. Bradford Royal need to get more staff like grace. When she said she would come back to you she did.loyal and true to her passion of caring for patients.

Really good experience, took just over an hour to get me sorted. Yaser who was the nurse practitioner skilfully removed a small metal speck from my eye. He was great. I was going fearing the worst and expecting hours of waiting but the opposite was the reality. Well done BRI!

I can’t thank Mr Ansari gastroenterologist enough, he went above and beyond with my anxiety from seeing him in clinic to my procedure he was fantastic as were the nurses in this department. I can’t thank them enough, I was so nervous and hopefully not too much of a pain he went above and beyond Thank you

Attended Ward 22 coronary day care unit for an angiogram. Nothing but praise for Dr Smith and his team. Kept informed at every stage of the process by the doctors and nurses. The procedure involved a wire being threaded into my heart through an artery in my wrist. I felt safe and reassured throughout by this well drilled and caring team, thank you.

I was sent by my Dr as had chest pains and shortness of breath. I was first seen quickly then told to sit out side in waiting area after 21/2 hrs was taken in for tests but again told to sit outside after another 2 hrs i went to ask how long it was before i would be seen was told up to 7 hrs. I was so tired and the chairs are not to comfy when you have back ache.I told the nurse was going home as was so cold and could not wait another 7 hrs after been there 5 hrs already. The staff are brilliant they are overworked understaffed cant fault them they do their best. I think this needs addressing at the top to bring back good old NHS. I know people do not go there for fun they go there for help in time of medical need . Hats of to all NHS staff for keeping calm and smiling.

I visited A&E due to sever abdominal pain. Before that I had contacted my gp who advised me that they will do my blood tests and ultrasound but didn't mention when. I was advised if the pain is unbearable go hospital. I went but no treatment was provided. dr maryam Molvi prescribed 2 medicine for pain and constipation relief. But shockingly she wrote this on a dirty tissue paper and asked me to get this from the pharmacy. I have saved this tissue paper to highlight it to the world. No ultrasound done. They took blood and urine sample saying results are okay but I didn't see any results. Shame on you guys for being so ruthless, insulting and unprofessional. All the so called health professionals i spoke to thought it's a possible gallbladder stone yet no treatment provided. See the prescription

Fantastic care from start to finish, had a minor trauma operation which got cancelled the first time, understandably the NHS is under a lot of pressure and traumas are unpredictable, rescheduled promptly the next day. Couldn't have been in better hands, wonderful nurses, obviously devoted to ensuring their patients are comfortable and well looked after and they looked happy to be there as well. A rather enjoyable time on the ward, yes, you have to wait around a long time, but there's such a lot of work going on that you don't see from the ward, the surgical teams are doing an excellent job, amazing staff, don't know what more one could wish for, surgery under local anesthetic was actually quite enjoyable, got to choose the music to go along with the op (went with classical for a calming atmosphere), and the surgeon explained everything that he was doing and showed me my severed nerves which was nice. Expected to be discharged immediately after surgery but the nurses insisted that I had a meal. The lamb masala was very good and the rice pudding not bad either. The brownie served with the coffee was excellent. More than you should expect for a minor surgery. Anybody complaining is probably expecting far too much and most likely not requiring urgent treatment. They only make you wait for ages in A&E if you don't need to be seen urgently which is entirely appropriate.

Absolutely the worst hospital anybody can go to. If you don’t want your loved ones to live then I suggest you admit them in BRADFORD ROYAL INFIRMARY. No duty of care patients are left with no treatment until it’s too late then it’s ICU and after that they tell you there’s nothing they can do it’s a waiting game for them to pass. Shocking how humans can treat other humans like that. If your not happy in your profession I suggest you find another that you may feel content with.

Whilst happy with the care received at the children's A and E for my son as he was seen to in a relatively quick manner, I'm not happy about the fact that we came home with something extra. After the whole of the pandemic period, after going on holiday as it was ending and taking test after test and we managed to not catch COVID once! And I mean we never had it........ until now! Stepped through the hospital doors for less than 2 hours and I can guarantee I only touched 1 handle and used antibac whilst there but managed to catch COVID. There really needs to be more ventilation in this area as you are literally sat in a locked box room.

Attended her with a friend who has a non verbal autistic child who was visiting out of town. He left his son at home with my lad. Fast forward 1 hour still waiting. On the walls everywhere they have plastered to let them know if ‘ you have a a learning disability or a carver for someone with learning disability’ I attended front desk and informed them and the receptionist stated if the patient has learning disabilities they get a different coloured band, however if your a cater for someone it doesn’t apply. What misleading information they have plastered all over the walls

An excellent infirmary. I called an ambulance in busy hours a couple of times and it always arrive in 20 minutes. Always I get appointments on time. I am really happy that I live near that infirmary and all staff are extremely helpful.

We attended the labour ward on the 16th of September for a C-section. We were second on the line on the day. The midwife Sonia Burton attended us when we came in. Sonia went above and beyond to make our short stay so much more relaxing. My wife and I were so much worried and scared about the procedure, this is due to the health conditions of my wife. This has affected our mental health for days before the day. Sonia took the time to explain the procedure step by step again and assure us that they will do everything to give the best possible care. Sonia's professional attitude is the true definition of a healthcare professional. She continued to support us the entire time until we were moved to M4. Sonia's professionalism is one of the best that we ever received in this hospital. All my children were born in this hospital but previous ordeals were very terrible which affected my wife and I mentally for a while. This is why I thought it was only fair to let you know how wonderful Sonia has been and she deserves every recognition. THE FIVE STARS ✨ ARE FOR SONIA AND HER TEAM. In ward M4 I was not allowed to see my wife because I was with my 5-year-old son, I can't leave him with anyone if he is not in school. I spoke with the NIC and I expected her to show some care and compassion but unfortunately, this is only taught at University. As a student Nurse, I found the attitude of some staff extremely concerning. My wife has to wait for two good hours before someone can bring get lukewarm water to drink. I am very much aware of the battle regarding staffing issues but all I expected was a simply reasonable adjustment and a bit of care from the staff. The bedding we're not changed for 24 hours. I asked for clean bedding and changed the bed myself.

Nothing but bad experiences from this hospital, sometimes I wonder why I even bothered paying and wasting my hard earned money on taxes that go towards this hospital. I seriously would think twice if you ever want to consider a procedure or a operation as the experiences I’ve had have been life changing and shocking from botched ercp procedure that resulted in pancreatitis that eventually lead to kidney failure due to mismanagement by the doctor and there training staff and nurses as well as not taking consideration and due care as well as other procedures that have left me unable to use my right leg. My life has been ruined by the mismanagement and it has been 10 years do date that I have never recovered from that initial treatment I pray karma takes it effect one day so they can reflect on what they have done to me and the agony that my family have to deal with on the management of my day to day care. Life is short but the doctors and some senior nurses think they will live forever and think they are immortals and will not one day face there demise. I wish someone with a high regard to patient safety could run this hospital and set standards that can be implemented across the board or else it won’t be long until this hospital will become privatised that I Believe will bring a breath of fresh air to This hospital due to the matrix that will be implemented and the quality of care that will be centre frontal.

I was referred here to fix a fractured jawbone and everyone in radiology and ward 18 has been friendly, professional, efficient and helpful. I forgot to bring a towel and the staff brought me one. I had lots of questions that I muffled with my bust up jaw and they listened carefully and answered me. I have enjoyed my 3 nights here.
