A wonderfully historic house between the centre of Ilkley and the pleasant, riverside park. Run by volunteers trying to make it pay its way, admission is free donations rightly deserved. The main doorway is medieval and there is a surprisingly good number of Roman altars inside, seeing as it is built on the site of the old Roman fort. Parking is not easy but nearby side streets will normally suffice.

Went to the Maker's fair. Some quality goods, but only about 6 or 7 craftspeople. First time inside manor. Rather pleasant.

Absolutely essential place to visit for anyone that likes history. Visiting is free, the staff are so friendly! Plenty of green space out back for kids to run about and just generally a good place to visit.

A nice visit to this interesting, well restored Manor House. Free to visit too. Too early for the exhibition which will be open now. Knowledgeable staff gave an insight into the history too.

A wonderful venue for our wedding and an incredibly helpful group of volunteers. Nothing was too much trouble. Geoff and Christine Ilkley

This is a great local venue, which acts as both a small museum and also as an activity centre to facilitate the community, particularly young children into the interests and wonders of history. A special children's activity on the history of the bicycle was there when I visited. Rooms are also for hire. The building itself is history. Built hundreds of years ago it has seen an interesting range of uses over the centuries, until purchased for the town. Don't miss it on your visit to Ilkley.

A beautiful place to visit, a wonderful piece of history. Within its court yard are little houses containing small businesses... Photography, Sculpting, Art.

This house is marvellously well-preserved, not appearing to be run down in the slightest and the entrance is also in proper shape. The museum area downstairs is intriguing, having many restored artifacts and a hefty amount of historical information too! Upstairs also provides interesting displays, with great relics alongside paintings from both the past and present.

Beautiful 13th century Manor house saved from destruction, now lovingly restored and staffed by knowledgeable, affable and entertaining volunteers, Tony and Nick. Stunning display of patchwork quilts completed during lockdown and fantastic artefacts from the Roman age. Loved it.

This is both a must visit venue for one off Ilkley visitors, combined with being a great place to visit on a regular basis especially with young children, as there are numerous toys, dressing up regalia and fun days creating cards, flags and colouring. Marvelous place run by committed volunteers always with a welcoming smile. Don't miss it and when you are there make sure you join the friends of Manor House scheme, and donate a few quid to the running of the place
