I've been sent to the Gallery on a Sunday, about 30 min before lunch. When I got there, the imposing pearl white gates were shut, to my surprise-the tourism adviser in Braga was way off... 😲 A lady from the house down the street told me that it was closed today, but ring the bell, they might hear you. After travelling over 300km, I thought I should just understand why they weren't open so this super nice lady came to the gates and said they'd open an exception and let me see it. I am so glad they did! They place is beautiful beyond the render of words, and worth every second of the experience. Give it a shot, it'll surprise you, not only the art but also the architecture, and last but not least, the simpathy and openness of the caretakers... 🤗
