We
had
high
hopes
for
a
casual
lunch
after
reading
a
glowing
description
in
Lonely
Planet.
Indeed,
the
bookstore
had
a
funky
vibe
and
the
garden
at
the
back
of
the
eatery
was
splendid.
Unfortunately,
slow
and
rude
service
ruined
the
experience.
One
person
in
particular
who
worked
at
the
cafe
was
consistently
rude
with
each
of
us
every
time
we
attempted
to
interact
with
her.
When
customers
walk
to
a
counter,
workers
typically
look
at
the
customer
and
inquire
how
they
might
be
helped
-
however
this
person
would
ignore
us
until
we
awkwardly
attempted
to
get
her
attention,
despite
being
the
only
patrons
up
there
at
the
time.
Service
was
very
slow
-
we
waited
thirty
minutes
and
still
not
even
our
drinks
had
arrived.
I
understand
that
there
was
only
one
person
waiting
tables
(and
she,
unlike
her
colleague
behind
the
counter,
was
a
sweetheart),
however
several
patrons
who
arrived
after
us
got
their
food
first.
My
sister
went
inside
to
the
counter
to
ask
if
we
should
pick
up
our
food
from
the
counter
or
if
it
would
be
brought
up
to
us
-
the
staff
person
again
ignored
her
then
used
a
rude/aggravated
tone
of
voice
to
tell
her
to
wait
more.
By
the
time
we
finished
our
food
(which
was
good
not
great),
I
was
too
full
for
the
berry
cheesecake
and
went
to
the
counter
to
let
the
person
there
know
it
was
no
longer
needed.
She
just
stared
at
me,
rolled
her
eyes,
and
replied,
“Ok….”,
implying
“why
do
you
think
this
is
any
of
my
concern”.
Her
overall
attitude
towards
us
made
us
feel
small,
stupid,
and
unwelcome.
In
summary,
slow
service,
mediocre
food,
and
one
staff
person
with
a
lousy
attitude.
