I am an expat living in Portugal and was looking for an authentic Asian restaurant for a while. Glad I found Omakase as it was exactly what I was looking for. I had a ramen and bao and my husband omakase simple. Authentic japanese cuisine prepared meticulously by the chef. All served food were described precisely by the waiter and waitress. We enjoyed from the soup until the acai with nuts dessert. Highly recommend and will definitely be back with friends. The only thing we did'nt like was the smoke inside the place when they were grilling some food because it bothered our eyes a bit. They opened the door after some time. But this is just a small feedback that can be easily improved. We still loved the overall experience

Great Japanese experience in Braga. The products are excellent, the sushi man is very knowledgeable and enjoys explaining all the techniques and history. It needs time to enjoy all sensations and experience if you decide to go for the full tasting menu!

If you are looking for the authentic Japenese Sushi experience, this is the place. Chef Michael Choi was extremely personable and explained what we could expect and deliver high quality sushi. Best sushi I've ever had. The entire Omakase team were phenomenal. Not inexpensive, but well worth the price for those who value authentic sushi. Thanks Chef! Hope to return.

It was very wonderful experience. I'll never forget this restaurant in my life. If someone ask what was good in Braga, I'll tell them this restaurant is the best experience. We choose midium, it was very wonderful (ATMOSPHERE) Very nice and clean (PRICE) Affordable price regarding it's omakase (SERVICE) Fantastically kind service of the chief (LOCATION) Located in the center of Braga I'll come back this city for this restaurant again. You can't miss the chance to go this restaurant.

We went yesterday to this establishment. Right when you entered the door you could see how different this is for all other places, with a high balcony and seats, the place resembled a traditional japanese establishment. There are few limited seats so you can be close to chef and see him preparing the food. Right from the beginning you can see how this experience is tailored to the costumer. The food tells a beautiful story, obviously the flavor is marvelous and completely different from other sushi places you experience in Portugal. To complement this gastronomic experience the chef simpaty and dedication to the costumers it's outstanding. It is truly a five star experience and even though is not something I can afford to go very often I will definitely come back to try the other experiences! Note: We tried the first experience, my boyfriend also opted to try the ramen (I also tasted and I will order the next time!). When it come to photos we did not take them, to be honest completely forgot about my phone.

Amazingly fresh & genuinely authentic Japanese food you won’t find outside of Japan with highly skilled and sincere people! We were simply astounded by the experience… really. We had lunch here on a whim as we were passing through - and we were taken aback completely by the Japanese - Portuguese owner and his father (and staff) that were so open and friendly. We were literally blown away by their kindness. They created an experience that felt as if we were in Japan. They explained the culture of Japanese food and how to eat it in a way that was educational and fun. Everyone was so passionate you could feel their hearts were behind what they were doing with the service and the food. I’m not sure when we’ll be back in Braga, but we very highly recommend this absolute gem to anyone within reach!!! Not one to miss!!!

The best meal in braga without a doubt. Maybe even the best sushi in all of Portugal! It’s an absolute sensation of a meal. I will always visit when I’m in braga time and time again. It’s really a great experience! Maybe you will think that it is too expensive, but it worth every euro)) lots of different dishes (not only sushi) served the best way, with comments of the chef. You will be a part of this atmosphere and cooking process! The taste is really amazing, it is totally different from anything that we tried before. Salty, sweet and a little bit spicy at the same time. It’s not only about eating, it’s really a new experience!

This was a unique experience wich I'm very thankful for. This is not your average sushi restaurant. The chef/owner, his father and his staff have created something very special. The attention and respect for the products they use is unlike anything i have witnessed before. The will share their knowledge of what they create and why it is done a certain way. I have some experience with fine dining but i have never felt this welcome and involved with the food that was created for us. They invited us to make our own sushi and explained everything in detail. We had so much fun with these genuine and kind people. No secrets, no show, no ego's just sharing the craft en appreciation for the food. My whole perception of sushi has changed since i ate here. We choose the 90€ menu and it was worth every cent. All the dishes are prepared in front of you, the ingredients are of spectacular quality and everything was absolutely delicious. We went home with lots of new ideas to try at home. We will come back!

You know, I don't like ANY type of seafood but the chef, Michael, who has all these amazing Japanese sushi credentials, somehow made me not hate seafood. It was quite an experience and very enjoyable. He performed a miracle. I never thought I would like ANY fish, EVER! But, here I am eating it and enjoying it.

We were visiting Braga from the U.S. and found Omakase on Google maps. After seeing its incredible reviews, we called to make a reservation. Chef Michael Choi answered and informed us that we were visiting during a special event at the restaurant. He very graciously fit our group of 4 into this exquisite evening of tasting nearly a dozen dishes - from ramens to sushi. The hospitality was phenomenal and the food was absolutely magical. Please go experience this place if you are in Braga. Thank you, Chef and your team, for giving us a memory that will last a lifetime!

We went there because we heard of the ramen was amazing. Turns out, we ended trying the sushi experience instead. The sushi was simply amazing and completely different from what you usually eat in other restaurants. You should also definitely try the warm sake they prepare. The staff was really welcome and playful. You eat on the counters, so you end spending good moments with them while they prepare the food. Definitely going back for the sushi and we still need to try the ramen.

Espectacular culinary experience! The tasting menu is a travel for all the relevant food in Japan, from street food and Izakaya, Sushi and Sashimi, Wagyu beef and much more. The staff and the chef are super friendly. Highly recommended!

We travelled all the way from Porto to Braga to experience this Omakase place as I was fascinated by the reviews on Google. Chef Choi didn’t let us down. The food was excellence and fish quality was great. However, it’s not only the food itself, it’s the all rounded experience from storytelling to customer engagement that made the overall experience so memorable. Chef Choi and the team took their time explaining the story and ingredients behind each dish, interacted with us, treated us like his family. On top, we had a variety of drinks we could choose from - from sake to tea, it was amazing. Totally happy to come back & eat the amazing tamago there again 👻
