This market has many things, starting from Doshokorma and ending at raw fish. You can also find clothes over here. There are many stores, little ones who will charge you much lower than any places near by. Compared to the main garia bazaar this will be much cheaper.

There are two bazars in Garia. One is on boral main road and another which good for different types of fish is near Garia more. Bazar on boral main road is good for vegetables and price is also cheap and vegetables are fresh. Also fish, meat, chicken is also available. On other hand garia main bazar is very good for fresh fish of different types. Price is little bit high. Other wise it is ok. Fruit and vegetables are also available. A hilsa of around 1kg size will be anything from rs 1200–1500 per kg. Monsoon is the season of Hilsa fish. It is a moment every bengali awaits with bated breath.

Choice of fresh produce. Great market for fresh fish lovers. Prices can be steep at times but you should be able to get almost all kinds of fresh produce and river fishes...for vegans there are a wide range of veggies and fruits that one could shop for...

It is best for middle classes, me being a sir.citizen nearing 80 get benefit be it veg/fish price wise.

Small daily market to get all the daily essentials like vegetables, groceries,non veg items and small household things ...but there is no cleanliness maintained...very dirty ..no parking facility available...u have to park your vehicle on the road only ...

Big bazar with variety of vegetables and fish. However Gariahat and other famous South kolkata bazars are better organized and clean. Could not find quality mutton shop in this market. For quality mutton one has to visit Hazi shop outside the market.
