I
made
of
an
event
at
the
Brainerd
Exchange
this
winter,
called
the
Smiles
for
Jake
event.
This
event
was
awesome!
We
spent
at
least
3
hours
there
and
our
four-year-old
granddaughter
simply
had
a
blast.
It's
the
first
time
she's
been
able
to
have
her
picture
taken
with
Santa,
ever.
It's
great
to
have
a
winter
time
event
that,
although
quite
chilly,
was
very
tolerable
at
this
venue.
One
could
spend
a
1/2
hour
with
all
the
face
painting
and
many
other
things
for
the
kids
to
do,
then
wander
outside
and
sit
around
either
of
the
fires,
not
to
mention
that
pile
of
snow
that
was
probably
the
biggest
attraction
for
the
kids
and
it
was
a
great
sliding
hill.
It
was
packed
right
up
until
the
lights
went
out!
The
slides
were
so
slick
one
did
not
even
need
a
sled.
Perhaps
the
biggest
attraction
was
the
sleigh
rides.
If
you
got
a
little
chilled
you
had
the
option
of
The
Roundhouse
Brewery
or
that
great
new
coffee
shop.
Then
back
to
the
fires
to
watch
the
fire
dancers.
Back
in
again
to
The
Exchange
Building.
Where
else
but
the
NP
Center
could
you
pack
in
so
many
people
with
so
many
events
going
on
and
still
fit
in
the
ambulance
and
a
huge
fire
truck,
with
room
to
spare?
Back
outside
for
the
finale,
the
fireworks!
We
hated
to
see
it
all
end.
This
will
be
an
annual
event
for
us
for
sure.
Very,
very
well
done,
and
congratulations
to
all
who
helped
put
this
together.
Impressive
to
say
the
least!
