The worst fry up I’ve ever had, presentation was terrible and the egg was brown. It was so bad I had to send it all back and go elsewhere. The staff were rather odd too. Not a good experience and definitely won’t be back.

Very disappointed. 4 of us went to try for a breakfast. Alarm bells started to ring when the couple opposite had one breakfast provided and a plate of toast for the gentleman. However 2o minutes later the wife said “I think they have forgotten your breakfast” to her partner. We had 2 breakfasts served after approximately 45 minutes, 4 were ordered. We walked out after and hour and a quarter after having a conversation with them to be told it takes a long time time to cook sausages and bacon. Funny that as the two breakfasts that were served were just that. 45 minutes for a bacon and sausage sandwich and 2 eggs on toast is unacceptable in any event. We never saw the other breakfasts (all day breakfast) that were ordered. Only positive was my teenage kids did get fed and they didn’t charge us for anything at all.

I went there last Sunday, and it was not busy. The cake and scone were lovely. The staffs were so sweet and welcoming.

Came in to eat with my mum for breakfast! I would say the best thing is probably the drinks! One of the breakfast came out place was too hot to even touch! My breakfast came out and went to a whole different table! This isn’t what you would expect from a cute cafe in the centre of town! Staff must need more training! Especially when I have worked in hospitality my whole career I wouldn’t ever think of doing this. Shall not be returning!!!!

Delightful coffee shop serving a range of hot drinks, cakes and light lunches. Lovely sunny outdoor eating area to comply with current Covid regulations. Service swift, eggs royale delicious - perfectly cooked eggs. My only gripe is having to share my dining area with smokers which rather spoilt the otherwise delightful ambiance.

These two exceptional individuals are the epitome of hospitality, radiating a contagious happiness and enthusiasm that spread throughout the entire café. Their friendly and attentive nature added an extra touch of magic to our dining experience. What made our visit even more special was that it happened to be my wife's birthday. To our delight, the staff at Eaton's Café went above and beyond to make her day unforgettable. Not only did they surprise her with a beautifully decorated cake, but they also adorned it with a sparkler and gathered around to sing the heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." It was a truly memorable moment that brought tears of joy to my wife's eyes. Now, let's talk about the food. The quality and taste of the dishes served at Eaton's Café are nothing short of exceptional. Every bite was bursting with flavor and made with the utmost care. Really nice staff. The afternoon tea was lovely. This needs booking ahead of time. The only down side is that the tables where not being cleared. 2 staff members came up brought what we ordered but didn't take what was left by other customers back down to the kitchen. This was literally the only down side.

Best pancakes ever!! This is a great little cafe in Braintree town, with a varied menu and friendly staff. The pancakes are amazing and I would definitely recommend them! We have had some lovely meals in here, and the staff are all very nice and friendly

Service very slow. Has all day breakfast, sausage and bacon burnt and dry. Pouched egg was hard boiled. Friendly service, but really really slow. Will not be going back.

I had a bad experience when I had lunch recently. I certainly would not recommend going to Eaton’s. Extremely bad table service. The staff were no better. The kitchen staff seemed to be on strike and spent more time talking than working.The quality of food was poor. They need training in Customer Service and the chef needs to learn basic cooking skills. The toilet facilities were out of order. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GOING HERE.

Do not be fooled by the lovely photos of this cafe as they are clearly not recent. We waited 30 mins for a jacket potato and baguette. We asked for coronation chicken and got some pink coloured slop which definitely was not coronation chicken. What a shame really gone downhill from what it once was.

Don’t bother! We waited an hour for breakfast. Paid for our drinks and left as we were getting hangry! We asked the waitress twice if the food would be coming soon and she said 2 mins every time. She offered us free orange juice, but we will not be back! The Manager seemed to blame the young waitress for not telling customers waiting times, poor girl. We were one of the first to turn up after opening, so there shouldn’t have been a problem!

Don't waste your time or money going here. Went today, and encountered problems. My glass had lipstick on it, my salad and crisps that were ment to be served with my pannini, was non existent, my husband had bits missing from his breakfast, other people in the cafe had bits missing from their meals. People were not being served and were just walking out. The food we did receive that was edible, wasn't great. We did eat it because we were starving, and well you don't know what the food is like until you eat it. Overall, just not a great place. They didn't charge us for the over priced cup of teas, because of the issues. I wouldn't recommend.

I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans that came with coleslaw and a generous salad. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Popped in today to try the place out and left due to the way the manager was speaking to her staff member's, it’s appalling and creates a terrible atmosphere for paying customers to witness as well as image for the business. Certainly wouldn’t recommend or return!

I wouldn't be giving this olace any stars, it's you have to select one to type review. We went in, cafe wasn't busy at all. We ordered beans and cheese on toast and smashed avocado with poached eagg on sourdough. Our coffees arrived quick but tasted very bitter. We waited ages for our lunch, my husband had to chase. It all finally arrived after approximately 40 minutes wait. He's was ok after all it was only beans/cheese /toast. Mine, the avocado was chunked and not smashed as advertised and the poached eggs had been hard boiled!!! As mentioned, they wasn't busy and seemed to be chatting (we were sat upstairs due to tables not been cleaned from previous customers). Never again will we visit this place. After leaving, we noticed a few other nice places to eat literally a fews seconds walk away. I do highly recommend 'Toast' their coffee is excellent and they sell food.

Very very disappointed today after having a good visit a few months ago. We waited over 40 mins for our food and then my husband got his and mine arrived about 25 min later. The jacket potato was black all over but salad was OK. They were very busy but service was awful.

Went in last saturday for lunch. Lovely little tea room/lunch room. Can't fault the food. The hot chocolate I had was lovely.the wife had tea which was fine also. We both had jacket potatoes which came with nice fresh salad which was all nice. The only issue was the wait was really long.we were there nearly an hour before we got our food. Have to say I cannot fault the blonde waitress. She was extremely polite and was apologising to everyone in there for the wait and doing her very best to try and keep people happy buy some people were getting up and leaving. She alone is the reason I give a 4 and not a 3. Not sure if the owner was the cook(foreign lady) as she seemed to be fairly aggressive toward staff when I waited down stairs for the wife. Maybe if she wasn't chatting non work to the youngsters at a busy time people would get their food quicker. Anyway as I say not awful at all but improve the time /staff management and it would be spot on.

Staff is a bit distracted. They didn't filter my smoothie correctly and they didn't know the tea selection when the table next to me order some afternoon tea. Cakes looked good but I didn't try it.

This cafe/restaurant in George Yard clearly has it's regular, loyal clients and it is easy to see why. The food is freshly prepared and served with a smile. Look for the specials board, there are some interesting options like a Stilton,bacon and walnut panini.

My daughter had an afternoon tea party there staff were lovely ,friendly food was delicious 😋 and the cakes are very good we all had a great time,thank you

Nice little cafè Nice staff Nice food. Service was too slow given that its a small cafè with 4 staff on. Decor looked like a mix between & old fruit & veg shop, junk shop & cafe. All the cake display stands were piled up gathering dust, the chiller unit had only 2 rows of drinks in it & looked like it was way to big for the small cafe.

What a gem! Had a morning coffee and a bacon roll, sitting outside. Great food and drink at a remarkably good price. Great service, by very friendly staff. Loved it so much I went back twice in a week.

A lovely Cafe Pattisserie, especially in the sun. The crossiant was excellent and they do Decaff coffee. Not always easy to find. I will be returning. 😋
