I recently stayed at the Aloft Dulles hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is conveniently located near Dulles International Airport, making it a convenient choice for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room I stayed in was modern and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the amenities I needed, including a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker. The design of the room was stylish and contemporary, which created a welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's W XYZ bar. The bar had a vibrant ambiance and offered a great selection of drinks. The bartenders were skilled and friendly, and I enjoyed spending evenings there, socializing with other guests. The hotel also had a well-equipped fitness center, which I took advantage of during my stay. It had a good variety of exercise equipment, allowing me to maintain my workout routine even while traveling. Furthermore, the complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel was satisfying. There was a decent variety of options, including both hot and cold items, and the food was fresh and tasty. Overall, I highly recommend the Aloft Dulles hotel. The convenient location, modern rooms, friendly staff, and great amenities made my stay enjoyable. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel provides a comfortable and stylish accommodation option.

Aside from the service itself, which was horrible, I will start with the overall hotel itself. The aloft Dulles airport north is a nice, clean and trendy airport by Dulles. Every time I stay at one I always feel like I’m in the mood, and these hotels are just cool honestly. The room felt very clean, with two beds and a nice bathroom. Spacious is another word I can use too. Lobby was very trendy and nice, so overall amazing hotel. Now with the service, I arrived at the hotel at 2 am since having a late flight. When I arrived, the doors were locked (safety reasons) and rung the bell that they had to access the front desk. I waited about 10-15 minutes, until I had to pull apart the doors which did not have any sort of lock on them. I was in the lobby, with nobody there waiting for about 45 minutes until a man comes out of the back and is like “woah” as if he was maybe sleeping or something. Another lady checked in, then I did and the man was very rude, as we had been traveling for more than a day and said “I can tell” in a tone. I then make it clear that we had been waiting for 45 minutes in which he said was only 15, apparently he said he was in the bathroom but that seems farther from the truth. Later on, I shake hands asking what his name was and starts questioning me “why?” As if he doesn’t already have mine but to question somebody who has been waiting for more than 45 minutes doesn’t help the current situation. We went to our room, and that was it. Overall, the hotel itself is nice, trendy and neat. I would like for management to talk this over with the hotel employees because that is absolutely unacceptable.

This is becoming the most annoying hotel stay I've had to date. Getting checked in was quick and painless. The place is your typical Aloft hotel. Very nice and modern. Those are the pros. The beds here, while moderately comfortable, are just a step above horrible. They are platform beds with nothing holding the mattress. So everytime you move the mattress slides around. I woke up in the night and all the pillows fell off the top. The showers are super dark. One tiny dim light a over the toilet so make sure you shower in the day. Now the service has absolutely been the worst part. I asked for a couple extra pillows when I checked in. I was the only person in the lobby. An hour lady someone came up to bring me towels. I mentioned the pillows that I was supposed to get. They apologized and said they would get them right up. I explained I would be leaving for dinner to just put them on the bed. 2 hours later when I get back. Still no pillows. I had to call 2 more times to get them. Next the TV is like the rest of them. However netflix, prime, YouTube all fail to start. I call the desk and he said they should work. Was going to call me back after looking into it. 2 hours later I call back and he states I should just keep trying. No worries I wanted to sleep anyway. The next day they still don't work.

Nice, clean and pleasant hotel. Great outdoor space for relaxing or casual meetings. Bar is nice (but prices exceed value for my taste). Convenient location as Uber is quick and reasonable. Great place if just flying in and out! Recommend this hotel for sure.

Great service from the staff. I left my hotel keys in the room, and didn't realize it until I got to the airport. The staff was courteous enough to bring them to me. Overall, their service was great all weekend asides from that :) Very clean hotel

I would like to give this place a decent review because the staff are fairly nice and it's fairly clean, but I can't.... This is a horrible place to stay.... The rooms have zero sound proofing. There are no basic amenities in the room for someone traveling on business. Every night there are parties going on all over the place, in rooms and hallways until all hours of the night and into the morning. Both rooms on both sides of mine have parties going on with loud music and yelling and there is jumping and banging coming from the room above. And this is on a Tuesday due the work week. The staff acts like the hotel is party central and this is the standard of how things go on a regular basis. 100% NOT worth the money.

Perfect location close to the airport. Fairly new hotel, close to a Starbucks. Gym was perfect for what I needed during business travel. The room was very nice and modern and staff was friendly. Would happily stay here again.

Was here for a business trip. Service was great. Room wasn't bad at all and everything was clean. Only thing was I can hear all kinds of noises from the rooms around me to music from somewhere that plays 24hrs a day. I had to turn on white noise from my phone to get some sleep. I got 2.5 hrs sleep and then I hear other rooms alarms going off too so it's probably the loudest room I've ever been in and yes it is louder than Vegas. My room doesn't have an iron but it does have a handheld steamer. Has a safe and blow dryer with basic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in shower. No complaints on the bed comfort, pillows or room size and layout.

The room was clean and the bed was large and comfortable. The shower was okay, but unless you have really long arms you're going to be getting wet when you first turn it on and adjust the temperature. The rates were very reasonable, check in and checkout were painless, and the staff was friendly. It's very close to Dulles which was the primary factor for me. It's also close to shopping and restaurants. Aloft will be at the top of the list next time we have an early flight out.

When addressing the manager and staff about safety concerns of young children the manager was defensive. On a Friday night with a hotel book for a child’s softball event the staff allowed what appeared to be street workers into the hotel. Which I suppose business is business. However when this individual is fully clothed, we’re in the pool area and gym area with children. The staff become irritated and bothered that it was a concern of parents. when the staff didn’t take it seriously it lead to calling the police. Which then the manager said oh we kicked them out. Which they had not. For the safety of your children I wouldn’t recommend staying at this location

Made a last minute booking on a Friday night thru a third party app and was confirmed the booking. Upon arrival noticed it looked busy and was told there was a softball tournament in town that was causing a hit traffic of guests. Once at the desk was greeted by Allison who informed the booking had gone thru but there were 0 rooms available. Knowing this was disappointed as the hotel looked really neat and looked like a nice stay. Allison did everything in her power to try to get us in one of the neighboring hotels. At the same time I was trying to cancel my reservation, but as luck would have it during that time someone cancelled their reservation! Allison immediately locked in the room for us and were given keys for our and snacks. The room itself was really nice, trendy and ice cold! Really a great room with more amenities than one could ask for. Big shoutout to Allison and to whoever cancelled their reservation!

9/29/23: UPDATE: I received a call from the GM Aisha who completely rectified the issue on the backend, I truly appreciate the swift and exceptional customer service and appreciate that you are upholding the Marriott brand. Thank you for making the best out of an unpleasant situation. 9/27/23: While the front desk attendant was super helpful and pleasant and the bartender was fantastic the room (318) was deplorable. Upon simple inspection of the room we found all sorts of food debris on the mattress along with stains. We always clean our space prior to sleeping but we were taken back by the amount of crumbs and things that were on the mattress. The same went for the refrigerator. We couldn't address it as immediately as we usually would have, because we checked in early to get dressed for an event, so it wasn't until late evening very early morning that we were met with ants that were crawling along the baseboards and nightstands. We exterminated what we could given the hour, we determined that there was likely nothing that could be done, and we were unfortunately not in the state to leave and drive home as we would have normally done had we not just attended an event. This by far was one of the worst guest room experiences that I've ever encountered and request that we be fully refunded for our stay.

Arrived after calling ahead for a late check-in only to be told they are full for the night and switched the reservation for king size bed for two queens. Front desk was completely dismissive and rude. Rooms are poorly renovated and the walls are paper thin. Save your money and literally stay anywhere else.

Clean, basic & as expected. The lobby is great and the bar is prominent. Carlos the mixologist is outstanding. I went in wanting a gin and tonic. I saw all the mixologist gear and serious ingredients at the bar and saw him making a wild looking cocktail for someone else so I figured lemme just tell this professional I would like him to make me a gin-based drink of his choice. My drink was amazing. Let him have control, he knows more than you about booze. You will not be disappointed!

Do not stay here!!! This is the worst hotel experience ever. I booked a room with a king size bed 8 months prior to my stay. After driving 7 1/2 hours when I arrived at the hotel they gave away my room (it was 5:30pm) and only had a room with 2 double beds. I am 5'9" and my husband is 6'1" so we slept with our feet hanging off the bed. Not only was our room horrible to sleep in but it was right next to the bar so for 2 nights we had to hear loud partying going on. I tried talking to a manager but was told nobody was there in management on the weekend. When i got home I emailed the manger and called 2 times and left my number for them to call. I never heard from anyone. I never would have expected this treatment from a Marriot. If you go there choose the Hilton friends stayed there and had a wonderful experience.

Terrible service. I paid in advance for my booking and the entire room charges were put on my card after check out… I’ve been trying to get a refund for 6 months with no luck. They claim to be processing the refund, have a different person to contact or they need the backup information again; endless excuses. Hotel is also cheaply built with thin walls and floors; you hear everything. Just went to this area and stayed elsewhere.

Extremely nice hotel "near" the Dulles airport. The rooms were perfectly cleaned. I would expect that a hotel that receives lots of people that missed their flights and have them rescheduled to the other day very early in the morning to have some early breakfast options, but that was not the case.

Love this hotel. We were the guest of the day the last time we stayed. Got an awesome bag of goodies. Our room had a broken AC unit and they fixed it right away. Always clean and very modern. In a great location, Starbucks, gas, and 7-11 right in front of it. Super friendly and welcoming staff.

My friends and I chose this hotel because of its location to the airport & shuttle transportation services. When we arrived to check-in late Friday evening we were informed that they only offer shuttle services HOURLY starting at 0600 and are only able to transport 7 passengers at a time and 4 seats were already reserved. There were 8 people in my group, including myself, and we would have liked to arrive to the airport by 0600, therefore we had no choice but to drive ourselves and pay for parking at the airport. Next time we’ll choose to stay at the Hilton next door who would have better accommodated us!

I used a third party to book and stayed the night. wanted to stay another night and extend through front desk in the morning. I saw bunch of bugs and mosquitoes. Since I checked in late night after 2 am, I did not pay attention. Observed the bugs after extending a day. Went to front desk and they tried to give us a different room. We did not feel like staying in this property to have some peace of mind. They said they would not charge us and gave us a receipt for $0. After a day my card was charged. I called the hotel 3 separate days and still no update on why they charged my card. Every time they keep telling that the manager is not available or the manager is in a meeting and they would call me back. Not really sure how they are managing the property without a manager or someone who can take a decision on the spot.

Very comfy visit to Aloft Dulles Airport North Hotel. Staff was helpful and courteous. Swimming pool, workout area, and pool table were additional surprise.

I used to live in Ashburn and have been to their happy hours many times. On this last occasion, I was helping my daughter move and we were too tired to drive back to Spotsy. We called them at 10:30 at night to grab a room after moving all day, they said "no problem! Bring your pet and we'll take care of you." They did exactly that. Great comfortable beds, nice and quiet... just what we needed! Oh, and the light continental breakfast was much needed the next morning. 😊

Clean hotel, friendly staff, fun decor, hip but relaxing atmosphere! From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we felt comfortable accepted and at home. Every inch was clean and for the first time ever I stayed at a hotel that knew how to make coffee!!!

Horrible horrible place … their linen its not enough for the full occupancy of the property. If you request a towel it needs to come frm another occupied room that the fuest has not used. I worked under this circumstances for one week in April 2022 and its Aug 11 and I am still waiting to get my payroll check. Next step would be Labor board, this place needs attention and be professionally managed not managed by people who don’t have time to order linen and process payroll and have new hires complete an application to work at this place.

If you are selecting this hotel for its free airport shuttle, you've just made a mistake. I called the hotel desk for the shuttle 3 times after arriving from Edinburgh. First time they said 15 minutes. An hour later I called again, they said the van broke down and was going to call another hotel to send a shuttle to take us to the hotel. The third time I called nobody picked up after letting it ring for 5 minutes. It's a bit of a Mickey Mouse operation.

Checked in, noticed damage to my TV, was told by staff not to worry about it and thanked for reporting it. Next thing you know they charged me $600 after check out! The hotel has refused to refund me the charge nor have they provided me with any explanation on why. I would think twice before you stay here! If this has happened to anyone else please get in touch. Very disappointed.

He loves his job and baseball even , He made me feel very comfortable and not uneasy while traveling to the airport. All in All Great

The room was good, very modern styled. Although the soap bars haven't been changed or really old. When I opened it from the wrapper it was discolored and pink bacteria marks. Also we had a hard time finding parking.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was modern and comfortable. I appreciated the interesting breakfast offerings. I would recommend it for a stay of up to three or four nights.

Do not stay in a room right next to the lobby. The door lets excessive sound through and they play music in the lobby all night. The door to the bathroom is a heavy sliding door that does not lock and does not seal anything. The shower floor is super slippery tile, so make sure you hang on to the handrail. There is no microwave and the fridge is tiny. The blinds do work quite well.

I was visiting with my family and the check-in experience wasn’t great! We had 6 bags on us and she asked: are checking in? No, I’m here to weigh my luggage and leave.😐 There was a wedding starting the time we checked in, so it was extremely slow and unprofessional. They had an issue with our reservation because it was done through a third party website, not our problem. They made it so. They wouldn’t clean the rooms unless we asked for it. They, then, piled dirty sheets in front of our door.

What a great find near our son’s new place in Northern Virginia! And Darwin-friendly!! Friendly, helpful associates and clean, comfortable guest rooms that are sufficiently appointed - that’s all there is to the Aloft Dulles Airport North. Oh, and a pantry to provide for one’s basic needs. This hotel is a terrific value for the price!

  • 5/5 Anna W. 1 year ago on Google
I was charged more than I was told. However, the staff is extremely professional and nice. The rooms are modern/clean, the shower gel smells amazing and the beds were so comfy. We’ll choose this hotel again if we come back to the area.
