This hotel is in a great location - directly next to the river, one of the main bus stations right round the corner and right on the edge of the Old Town. The staff throughout are all very friendly and welcoming and it does feel like a traditional European five-star property. I had booked a single room and while the bed was a large single and comfortable, it was annoying everything else in the room took the ‘single’ approach to the extreme - one sachet of coffee, one mug, one bottle of shower gel etc. The mini bar was stocked though and everything else in the room decent. The TV was large and had a good number of English language channels, electric sockets next to the bed, it was quiet with decent views and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I couldn’t get the wifi to work but with the good mobile coverage coped fine without. The bar on the ground floor is a nice retreat, open very late and with a full range of drink options. It does permit smoking but it isn’t overly bothersome and it’s got a really traditional atmosphere with great staff. I didn’t get a chance to sample the restaurant but if the outdoor terrace had have been open that would offer a good place to watch the world go by. Overall it’s a decent option if you want to stay somewhere located in best spot and I’d happily pick it again.

Having stayed at the Devin many times over the last 10 - 15 years, I find it's in a great position with perfect access to the city. The Staff are friendly and helpful even at 3am for checkout . The room was clean and tidy. I only ever stay 4 to 5 days and it meets all my needs. Checkin/Checkout effortless would have preferred to have paid city tax on arrival rather than having to rummage around at 3am but maybe that's when it has to be taken. I did order a smoking room but they said that it wasn't on my booking and there were none available but the front desk sorted out a work around. Nice views of the Danube from my room. Generally a great experience I will be back soon and would recommend it to anyone

It’s a great hotel with a fantastic location. Friendly staff, comfortable and renovated rooms, the ones I’ve stayed in were always very quiet (not sure about the river view ones). Great breakfast too. One of the benefits I’ve been choosing this hotel for was a EV charging option - it was included in the parking price. But it’s anymore and now it’s 5€ for 30 minutes (AC charger) which for me makes it nonsensical. Everything else stays brilliant though.

Very friendly staff! Hotel could do with a tiny bit of modernising (plugs near bed etc), however a great stay. Breakfast was average - the coffee machine was cold/toaster out of action. Had some tasty eggs/bacon though.

Lovely hotel almost in the center of the city. I loved the bed, it is not soft, but very firm which I prefer. Breakfast could be better though.

First of all, thank you for everything you gave us during our stay in your esteemed hotel. All thanks to Mrs. / Patricia, Mr. Robert and Mr. Peter. And let's not forget the really great work team in an ancient hotel.

Our stay was perfect apart from the smoking bar. You need to cop on as smoking causes a lot of problems. We would love to come back as we love the area and we will be visiting quite often as our son works in Bratislave and is now married to a local girl there. Although expensive, the food is very good in the restaurants. Hope to see you again as your staff is very welcoming. Elizabeth Fagan from Ireland

Lovely hotel in a perfect location by Danube river and a few steps from bratislava old town. Clean rooms, friendly staff and amazing spa. The view from the rooms facing the river is fabulous. Breakfast could include more variety.

Excellent position, very close to the city center, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Rooms are clean and wide, bathroom is modern and well equipped. Breakfast is abundant and served in a pleasant hall (but you can also enjoy it outside). Staff members are extremely polite and efficient. Parkplace is right in front of the entrance. There is also a pool located underground, which you can access by paying.

The swimming pool has really decent size and it is 1,2 m deep, enough for comfortable swimming. The main disandvatage of this spa center is the fact that sauna is across the corridor from the swimming pool, so you need to exit the pool and walk around 20 meters through corridor before entering sauna.

The rooms are super clean and perfect size. The restaurant breakfast is just fine، not very impressive. The French toast doesn't look like French toast, and the rest of the foods are just average. But they have salmon cut for breakfast, which I like a lot. I had my lunch and dinner in the restaurant as well، and found out that their food is tasty and delicious unlike their boring breakfast. If you book a room with city view، then expect the view to be some dull buildings back wall. There is nothing as "city view". The staff are just doing their job, and are not very friendly. The cleaning lady is rude and thinks the hotel guests are some rebellious teenagers who need to be diciplined even though they might be in their 50s and traveling is their job! The location is very good. 16 minutes walk to the old town, and very short walk to the UFO. I liked the hotel decorations very much.

I booked a room with bath, didn't get one. Wanted to book couple of spa and wellness treatments, on arrival we were told Spa is closed for 10 days due to holidays?! No where written on website. And that was the main reason for booking that hotel, very unprofessional and disappointed. Then, who even designed their showers should rethink their choice of profesion. No way you can get in without getting wet all over the place outside. Ridiculous Bar man didn't want to serve us with drinks from menu card, probably too lazy to do a cocktail. Second time, brought wrong order.

I rarely recommend a hotel, business trip had lost their allure to me aeons ago. Still, Děvín surprised me. Ok, rooms are adequete, shower just fits my, admittedly, oversized dimensions, but for few nigts no problem. On a plus side, everything feels fresh and clean, people are superfriendly, breakfast one of best I've seen in Bratislava and they have the most reliabke Slovak lager, ie Pilsner Urquell on tap in the bar. But most importantly, the place is beautiful. The design, terracote tiles, furniture. It just makes me feel very relaxed, everything fitting. And location close to UFO bridge, super. And not that expensive. For me, really excellent value for money, way lot better than the ones higher on a river. Must see yourselve, come just for a beer or coffee. And I am posting two photos, pardon the quality, pls.

Very good location with views of the Danube. Hotel is very clean and has a pretty decent spa and pool area. Overall it is a very good hotel.

Great hotel. Breakfast plates are to small, but the food was delicious, and I wish the double bed should be one piece not two, pieces pushed side by side with two covers.

A real surprise arriving in Bratislava. Looks a little Brutalist oppressive from the outside, but inside looks recently refitted and magnificent. Helpful staff and larger than usual rooms help to make your stay here quite a luxurious experience. If you are in Bratislava give it a try.

Great position and very good breakfast. The receptionist was kind, but I have faced issue to pay with my card. I had a problem with Internet, but hotel's staff found a solution.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Devin in Bratislava, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that continued throughout my entire stay. The hotel's prime location, situated on the banks of the Danube River, offers breathtaking views of the city's iconic landmarks. Waking up to the picturesque sight of the river flowing beneath my window was a daily treat. The proximity to the UFO Tower, a recognizable symbol of Bratislava, added to the hotel's allure. The rooms at Hotel Devin are a perfect blend of modern comfort and classic charm. The tastefully designed interiors exude a sense of luxury and relaxation. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with all the amenities one could desire. The plush bed ensured a restful sleep, and the panoramic views of the city from my window were simply mesmerizing. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional dining experience. The hotel's restaurant boasts an impressive menu featuring a delightful fusion of local and international cuisines. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the attentive staff made every meal a memorable affair. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the culinary offerings never failed to impress. Hotel Devin also offers a range of facilities that cater to guests' needs. The spa and wellness center provided a sanctuary of relaxation, and the fitness facilities were well-maintained and equipped. The knowledgeable concierge team was always ready to assist with any inquiries or recommendations, ensuring that I made the most of my time in Bratislava. What truly sets Hotel Devin apart is the impeccable service provided by the staff. Their attention to detail, genuine warmth, and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel truly valued as a guest. Whether it was arranging transportation, offering local insights, or accommodating special requests, the staff's professionalism and friendliness were truly commendable. In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Devin in Bratislava was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of luxurious accommodations, stunning views, delectable dining, and unparalleled service created an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a place that seamlessly blends history, comfort, and top-notch hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Devin. It's a true gem in the heart of Bratislava.

A really pleasant stay. The hotel has a great location and the best view to the river Danube and the UFO bridge. Rooms are spacious and totally clean with a nice fresh smell. The gym and spa facilities are a good addition to the whole experience.

It was ok, the Hotel is quite old and some of the furnishings appear very dated and could use a refresh. The bed was 2 singles pushed together so Overpriced considering the level of finishing. There’s very limited on site parking. The views of the river are quite nice, the location is great for access to the city

Upon arrival the Front Desk clerk could have been more informative, didn't tell where the restaurant is, when is it open, where the spa is etc. The spa was closed on Sunday 9:00-15:00 for cleaning - which we only learnt from a post-it in the elevator, would have been nice to know beforehand. Breakfast is okay, although not too many coffee options. A bit expensive for a 4 star hotel downtown.

I am always pleased with this hotel. Location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the breakfast, makes the stay stress-free. As a proof point, I missed my bus to the airport at 3:30 in the morning, and though I had checked out, the night clerk let me back in and called me a cab, so I made my flight😊

The hotel itself was very good, the room held a high standard, the river view was lovely, the breakfast was very generous, the staff at reception and in the restaurant were service-minded, polite and spoke good English. The location is close to the old town and castle. I am very pleased with my stay. The reason I don't give full marks is because parts of the booking process was not great. I booked an airport transfer, provided the required information and requested confirmation, twice. I did not get it, despite the emails arriving, and when I arrived at Vienna there was no car waiting. It took a long time for the Reservations department to figure out what had gone wrong. I wasted about an hour at Vienna waiting to be told my request had not been registered. So while the hotel was very good and I enjoyed my stay, the booking system and customer service part did not really meet expectations. If you book an airport taxi through the hotel, do not just rely on the automated booking confirmation!

I travel globally, on average twice a month, for my work and your hotel is among my favourites and the one I always use when I visit Bratislava. It is also where I wish to visit for a holiday with my husband, when work (and children!) allow. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, the restaurant is wonderful, and, most importantly of all, your staff are brilliant: professional yet friendly, and always very helpful.

Fantastic hotel with always helpful professional staff. The location is perfect, the hotel decor is lovely, and I had a river view room which was amazing sitting overlooking the Danube and if your a people watch, perfect. Close to the old city, out the hotel door, 50m and you are in the main part of the old city and in the other direction, 1000m you can get the bus back to Vienna city or airport, or cross the road and take the boat. Although I never ate any meals there the breakfast choice is fantastic. For anyone going to Bratislava, this hotel ticks all the boxes, especially a room with a river view. Thank you and I will be back soon.

My husband and I have been coming to Hotel Devin for several years. We visit Bratislava (from Vienna) several times each year (before Covid-19) and we only stay at Hotel Devin because the service is always so friendly. We love(d) the French restaurant, and the new Cafe Devin is just as good. We cannot think of a better place to stay, it has everything we want: room with a balcony and view of the river, wonderful beds and always clean! Thank you for always making our stay a very nice experience.

The name precedes it and we understand why as it is a beautiful hotel, located on the Danube and in the heart of the Stare Mesto (old town). Attentive recepion staff, lovely details within the hotel and good rooms to come back to after a busy day walking through the town..
