We were a bit anxious that we might end up in a typical tourist trap but when we entered the place on a Friday night we found a lot of locals enjoying the venue. Thus we knew that this should be good. Food is amazing, beer is great and cheap, service is quick and extremely friendly. Great place give it a try. Be warned that it is very crowded on Fridays and weekend so be prepared to reserve ahead or wait a bit.

An absolute MUST try! We loved the food and although it was packed (full) and you could tell that the servers were a little stressed, they remained friendly and helpful. Their lemonades are tasty (even for the rather high price) and all in all a great experience for our tastebuds :) would go back there anytime!

One of my favorite places to eat and take my visitors from USA. The menu is extensive and food is excellent with good prices. Steak tartar is to dye for and one of the best in Bratislava. This place offers a large indoor and outdoor seating in a garden and they do take credit cards but the gratuity need to be paid in cash and not on the card. Most of the staff is friendly and speak English. Little fun fact: On one occasion I was dining in the garden and HGTV was taping House Hunters International episode just few tables over from us. So it was super cool to watch on tv later when it aired.

The food was very good and the portions were huge! Not cheap, but you get your money's worth. Nice beer too - brewed on site - and a lovely outside terrace set in a park. Service was good, if rather harassed - they had several large parties in when we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. This also meant a long wait for food (over an hour) and they were constantly turning other customers away. With this in mind I would recommend avoiding weekends, but I would definitely return.

We read many positive reviews and so went to this place. Sunday afternoon, inside the restaurant was not that busy. But it took over 15 mins for someone to pay attention to our table. Staff looked so busy that they did not bother to look at us while talking. We felt pretty unwelcome. We tried all their brewery beers - they were OK. Their hospitality approach to guests, killed our mood. None of the staff spoke english, we had a hard time conveying what we wanted. The food items we ordered were good.

This specific location is further outside of the city center than their other spot, but it was worth the short trek. Authentic Slovak food which is quite rich and flavorful and some delicious beer. The leziak 10 and 12 and the Bubak 12 were all very good, easy drinking, and paired well with the food. English menu was helpful and the waitress was very friendly and gave some good suggestions. Interior is rustic yet modern. Great place to stop for lunch or dinner and some local beers! Also a great beer garden out back for warmer weather.

We came to Bratislava for a day trip hence we didn't have much of an opportunity to try different restaurants. And boy were we lucky enough to try Mestiansky. The mushroom cream soup was extremely appetizing. It was creamy and yet refreshingly sour at the same time. My family and I cleaned the enamel bowl thoroughly. The BBQ ribs were generously portioned and the taste was a good combination of the BBQ sauce, tender meat as well as the fragrance of the BBQ process. But for me, the pork knuckle was the best of the lot. The outer layer was crisp and fragrant. The meat inside was smooth textured, tender and tasted fresh. This combined with the sauce provided a super dining experience. Strongly recommend for everyone visiting Bratislava who wants to try great tasting dishes!

This is one of the more common restaurants that we use in the area, especially in the summer months. There is a childrens play area outside and the park you sit in has a wall around it so feels safer to let the children run around while you talk/relax/eat. Both the beer and the food are excellent, the stand-out meal is the ribs, which were recommended to us as well. This is the type of venue we take visitors to when they come to see us. The only challenge is around how busy it gets, getting a table in winter when everyone is inside is challenging, and in summer when lots of outdoor seating is available it can be a challenge for the staff to keep up with all of the tables, so we tend to avoid peak hours - but that is a challenge with popular places, so overall I would strongly recommend as one of the restaurants to use when in the area.
