I’d give negative stars if I could. Worst hospital, disrespectful OB nurses, Dr. Wu Allan is the worst. They sent me home twice claiming I wasn’t even in labor, told me they would even cancel my induction and to not even show up. I told them I kept feeling the head of the baby coming, they said I wasn’t even dilated. They gave me a bunch of morphine shots, advil, Motrin and allergy pills to “make me sleep” put me on a wheelchair and left me outside. I gave birth as soon as I got home and my mom had to deliver the baby. A nurse even told me my baby wasn’t going to make it. Ny doctor was mad, and said that Dr Allan Wu confessed to messing up, she called the risk manager Merlina Esparza and she said cried and said she was hopeful i’d get justice because they found a lot of illegal things and malpractice happening with the nurses and doctors. I never got justice, they only assigned another doctor to say they only excel to provide the best service. Nurse laughed and made fun of me.

Would give 0 or less stars if I could. Maternity costumer services are NONEXISTENT. My wife’s deaf and I was there to interpret. They told me not to go in because I was carrying my 5 y o that I couldn’t leave outside by herself. Since she went in, they ASSURED me and lied to my face saying that there was an interpreter(screen) available. However my wife soon after came out saying that they just started trying to get her to do the procedure without any information, interpreter, or permission from my wife. After I spoke with the nurses about what happened, she responded with “She doesn’t need an interpreter for this procedure.” I said you can’t tell me what my wife does or doesn’t need, she decides not you. I picked up my stuff and left. My advice: RUN AWAY from this hell hole. It would be better to go to Mexico and have your child there or San Diego maybe even Yuma, but avoid this hospital at ALL COSTS.

Zero would be appropriate. ***DR. NELSON*** is the rudest, most uncaring, most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. HE DID NOTHING FOR MY SON, who was in a critical state of health, but send him home with some over the counter Tylenol. His words and actions were atrocious. My son's ATTENDING NURSE told us (as he wheeled him to our car because he couldn't walk) that he could see how sick my son was and that he would never bring a family member to this hospital. He told us that they are understaffed and that they "herd patients in and out like cattle." The following day we took our son to EC emergency room where he was immediately admitted for nine days before being transferred to UCSD, where he underwent surgery and spent weeks in the hospital. That was the extent of his sickness when DR. NELSON DID NOTHING.

I am in the Pioneers Memorial Hospital emergency room with my father. I am waiting to make A formal complaint against a particular Dr. He has been unprofessional, condescending, rude, and did not want to provide care to my father. He came in to my fathers room telling us that this is an emergency department and they only treat emergencies here and though his pleural effusion may cause discomfort it is not an emergency. My father asks “You don’t consider not being able to breathe an emergency?” The dr chooses to respond with “Sir, I don’t need your attitude you’re more than welcome not to receive treatment here.” I told him not to speak to my father like that and took him into the hallway pleading that he be nicer to my dad and provide him with real care and kindness. He continued to be unprofessional. The lab was in the room ready to draw blood and my dad said “I’m not sure if you should since the dr wants to boot me” I had to call the charge nurse to get involved. I am waiting to speak with the house supervisor and quality. My dad no longer feels safe with this “dr” due to his lack of compassion towards my dad who came by ambulance not being able to breathe. The Dr said the numbers say you can breath, what he did not know was my dads hemoglobin was a 5. Now this Dr. is trying to pretend like we were refusing medical advice and declined labs, that is inaccurate. He came into my Dads room not wanting to help my dad because “the numbers say you can breathe” stating they’re too busy and refused to provide care and listen to his patient until I got the charge nurse involved. Several staff confirmed that he has this reputation. Another staff member said he has sick kids at home and got called in, well I’m sorry but he is a dr and should be able to separate personal with professional. Everyone else has been great, expect this dr. My dad probably would have left and died if I wasn’t here to go above that “dr” and force him to do his job. I’m not sure why he chose to be a dr if he doesn’t care about people.

I came to this hospital via ambulance with chest pain. They said there was nothing wrong with me. They hired Brawley taxi to take me home. Brawley taxi stopped beside the road ten miles from my home and told me I need to call another cab co.if I want a ride to my home. PER HOSPITAL INSTRUCTIONS. The police gave me a ride home. One week later I HAD A HEART ATTACK

Took my grownup half Asian daughter to the ER At Pioneers Memorial on Saturday, June 24th as she had a suspected broken toe on her left foot. We were in and out of there in a little over an hour. They checked her in and x-rayed her foot and confirmed it was broken. They gave her pain medication and taped the broken toe and gave her a boot to wear for about 3 weeks. The hospital staff and treatment were not the problem - it was another patient. I am a white male, senior citizen, retired US Navy. There was an adult male Hispanic in the waiting room staring at me the whole time as if he was going to assault me. I never spoke to this person or did anything to provoke him. But I felt threatened. There was a chubby female unarmed security guard in the area but I don’t think she would’ve been much help if that guy had started any trouble. Thank goodness we were able to leave before he could hurt us. Should patients have to fear for their safety if they visit this hospital? The security should be armed and there should be signs in English and Spanish stating the penalty for causing trouble in the hospital. I am sure I would’ve been ten one in trouble if I had defended myself considering he was Hispanic and I am white. I will try not to go to this hospital again.

What we thought was food poisoning with my daughter was actually a ruptured appendix. From the moment we walked into the ER and then six days later out the door, service was top notch! Special shout out to Mario (our Angel) in the ER for being an amazing nurse, special shout out to Aimee day shift nurse on med surg unit, Graciee in surgery recovery and a huge shout out and thank you to Dr. HAHM! She literally saved my daughters life! Forever greatful for the love, care and compassion shown towards our entire family in such a crazy & scary time.

I recently spent 4 nights in Pioneers hospital to deal with an accidentally swallowed foreign object that got stuck passing through the intestines. It was potentially a very serious incident. The doctors that dealt with me were excellent. I had full confidence in them and the nursing staff was very attentive to my needs. Nobody likes to spend four days in a hospital but I always had full confidence with the medical staff.

Went to the ER with a broken arm on Friday night and the staff were so nice and helpful I was so impressed. SUPER personal, kind and great experience from all the dockers, nurses and staff. They fixed me up in a reasonable time and did a great. Loved the small town fell and care. Thank you very much.
