The Mermaid Arts Centre opened back 2002 and over the years has become a space where ideas, creativity, imagination, and artistic expression flourish.There’s a packed events calendar and a gallery exhibiting work by some of the finest artists from Wicklow and further afield at the centre, so you’ll have plenty to keep you amused and occupied. Mermaid Arts Centre contains a 242 seat auditorium which hosts a wide variety of music, theatre dance and a state-of-the-art digital film projector with full surround sound, and our airy and bright gallery hosts on average 8-10 exhibitions per annum.Mermaid Arts Centre is home to the Betelnut Café. The relaxed and comfortable Betelnut Café is open for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. Drinks are available pre- show and during intervals.

Lovely hub for culture and arts. Interesting exhibitions and workshops. Family-friendly events, live music and stand up comedy. Very reasonably priced and worth keeping track of.

I attended an African Dance workshop on s Saturday morning. Teacher was excellent and the room provided was fine. More workshops like this wpuld be appreciated.

The new cafe called IL fico is lovely in there the staff is really nice and friendly the food does taste great... anyway if you be around don't miss out on it

Great, vibrant place in the centre of Bray. Anything and everything for music and theatre lovers. Absolutely amazing food in a cafe on the premises, good vegan and vegetarian selection, which is always a plus! Play area and a mini library for the kids. Highly recommended, whether you're aiming for a cultural experience or just a coffee and a scone. Sweet potato and chilli soup (pictured) is my absolute favourite there 🖒
