Founded
in
2002,
Ponto
Solidário,
socio-cultural
art,
is
a
non-profit
association.
It
works
with
the
concept
of
fair
trade,
solidarity
economy
and
sustainability.
It
is
a
place
for
the
exhibition,
dissemination
and
sale
of
artistic
and
artisanal
production
from
several
NGOs
in
Brazil,
cooperatives,
regional
communities,
indigenous
peoples,
artists
and
other
related
institutions.
Ponto
Solidário
believes:
*that
Brazilian
popular
culture
is
very
rich
and
should
be
valued
*that
commerce
can
be
different,
valuing
the
supplier
and
the
customer,
instead
of
traditional
practices
*that
generating
income
through
traditional
handicrafts,
in
addition
to
being
important
for
keeping
tradition
and
culture
alive,
keeps
the
artisan
in
their
community,
and
is
a
work
alternative,
also
for
new
generations.
