Under normal circumstances this gym was fine. But during the limited reopening during quarantine (before the 2nd shutdown), the majority of members plainly did not wear masks nor did the staff do anything to enforce their "mandatory mask policy". An indoor gym is literally the worst place to not wear a mask. Being able to use gym equipment is a privilege and not a right, and wearing a mask while exercising is a small price to pay for saving lives and contributing towards reopening. I found it ironic and disappointing that 24 is now emailing everyone to lobby the governor into reopening the gyms when they were at least partly responsible for the shutdown by failing to enforce the mask policy and letting the disease spread freely. Please do your part.

They shortened gym hours while still charged the same prices. When the pandemic laxed, most other gyms went back to regular hours while this one closes at 8 pm and 10 pm yet claims to be 24 hours. It is a disservice to long-time paying customers living in Brea, and they should file a petition against this mismanagement and false advertisement. This gym was great before, but whoever is running it now is ruining its reputation. Up keep is also suffering, check out some posted images. Honor what this gym stood and was known for!

Not a bad gym, I’m ok with older machines as long as they are maintained. But there are at least 4 machines that are still not in service since before the COVID shutdown. As someone with a mechanical background, it looks like all that they need is some new cables. But the facilities guy is too busy walking around jaw jacking with the employees and checking out the girls working out. 24 hr fitness would do good to axe all the employees here and hire some people who take some pride in their work.

Looks really big and impressive, then you walk in and it seems small and dinky. Outdated machines, but they're well organized. Locker room and pool area were reasonably clean. Water fountains are spread out solo dolo-like (usually they're placed in pairs). Dug the core stuff being in a mini-room by itself but, like the rest of the gym, it seems like it would be borderline nightmarish during peak hours. Anyway, long story not-so-short, can't really call it great or terrible. Also am I nuts or is this building a renovated theater??

Do note the special offerings at 24 Hour Fitness. Good wifi and though this is not a super sport facility it is centrally located close to the “Brea Tracks” trail and it’s a clean location. Appreciate the assistance K! Diversity and help at this location is noted. Staff goes out of their way to help members, no confusion or upselling. You can also try them on the three day pass. You can choose to purchase by the month or year. 24 Fitness is ideal for Body Builders, Executives and Breans' to pump weights, treadmills or elliptical trainers. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, women's locker room and weights were functional and sanitary. Check in on phone--via app---or traditional way (fingerprint).

I was looking for a new home gym after a job change. I went to the Brea location to check it out (on 4/1/23). I was very pleased with the layout, the machines and the general atmosphere. It looked well kept and clean. Until I went into the ladies locker room. The locker area was fine, a lot of room, restroom area was just fine, until I went to the showers. There were clumps of hair not only in the shower stalls, but also in the walkway, wet crumpled paper towels on the floor and a wet sock. Okay it was a Saturday morning, maybe the cleaning crew called out Friday night. I gave the benefit of the doubt and decided to choose this location. Monday morning @ 5am, had a great workout, got to shower and the same mess was still in the shower. Okay, disappointed but I chose the cleanest stall and started my shower. Barely got wet when the water started backing up... it was clogged. Chose another, door wouldn't close. Chose a 3rd, started okay, but it also filled with water. Okay, I needed to finish quick and decided to notify them on the way out. As I was getting dressed, another member came in. I asked if she was a regular, she was. She told me the showers are ALWAYS filthy (her words), she doesn't believe they clean on a regular schedule and she never washes her hair there because the drains are regularly clogged and she tries to get out fast. She did say that they have fixed the drainage but it doesn't last long and the clogged drains return... VERY DISAPPOINTING. For the city of Brea to be represented this way is such a shame. Not to mention, many members pay good money to belong to a gym and they deserve better. I am sure I will see a "canned" response from 24 Hr. Fitness, but don't bother. Fix you gym, take some pride, value your members.

So, I believe this is a sport since it has a pool. I am not even sure what the difference is anymore. Parking is a little odd here as more and more buildings are being added. The gym is on one level. Huge men's locker room! I got here when it should have been packed and still got in a good workout. Good mix of people and staff was OK. A range of equipment and it was kept up and clean.

My husband works for the military and he just has he’s home state ID and he try the 3 days free pass but he can’t used because he doesn’t have a California one , so he can’t get in …. That’s disrespectful because he travel all the time to serve the country, and I feel the policy doesn’t apply to them! Never go to this gym! I don’t recommend this place!

Good location This gym is a regular sports club, not a super sports club. It is conveniently located very close to 57 Freeway. It is not easy to be seen from the street, since the sign is behind the buildings in front of it. I got lost first time in the night time. The size is medium-large inside and with fairly amount of machines to be used. However, there were some broken machines remaining broken for a long time and some of the non-broken machines are old style and not in the good shape. As a general, it is a regular sports club and it feels like one. It is good enough for daily, routine exercise for sure.

Not sure why everyone’s so picky. While reading these reviews, they make this place sound terrible. It’s the average gym. 99.9% of equipment works fine; however, things do break. It’s normal. And there’s no weird smell other than normal gym smell. People are strange with their reviews. Don’t get it at all why ppl are like this. I’ve been coming here for 14 years and only thing wish would change is that it was open 24 hrs like before. I’ve attended all kinds of gyms (LA fitness, Gold’s, planet) and this one is fine providing me what I need for my fitness needs. People seriously need to chill with their snarky remarks as it’s a perfectly good gym.

Good area, parking is good in front and back. If it’s summer park under the parking lot in target. Typically clean except that one person that cuts their hair in the shower. Staff is friendly. Pool is great and showers get super warm.

The 24 Fitness Center is an excellent place for working out, steam, sauna, huge locker rooms & a lot more. Everything is kept very, very clean... & the staff/team members are always polite, helpful & courteous. The 24 Fitness Center in Brea is very spacious. Plenty of room to walk around without banging into an exercise machine or person. Some 24 Fitness gyms do not have the space like Brea 24 Fitness has, which is a plus!! All in all, a very comfortable & cool place to work out for a few hours or more at any time. I never have to wait for a treadmill or a cycle or a seat in the sauna or steam room.. Terrific Fitness center for all of your working out needs!!

Honestly gets the job done. Never super busy. Everything works. People keep to themselves. Machines and weights always open. Pool, sauna steam room always clean. Everything is always clean. Staff is chill, never really had an issue. This gym seems like people get in and out. Most gyms to many people are just taking up space.

Clean location, fairly small, but they close way too early.
