The restaurant is a bit worn down and old-school, with cracked booth cushions and plastic cups. But, it has a great gem — the corned beef hash! It is delicious, with at least half of it being made up of their corned beef. The eggs that come with it are buttery and scrambled well — stiff but not dry. Also, the portions of everything are huge! If you come in hoping for a standard diner breakfast with excellent hash, you will be very pleased! I’m giving them a 5-star for this meal alone (and likely anything with the corned beef). I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but the corned beef hash is worth a visit! The biggest improvement spot is the biscuits — they are very bready and not worth eating.

Good diner place for breakfast and lunch. Large variety of eggs etc. their corned beef has is good. I had it mixed in with scrambled eggs. Oh. Order the fruit as your side. It’s really good. Cost is from $10 to $18 for breakfast. Seems to be the going rate. Only thing better it could have would be a view.

Pancake was huge & delicious! Nice to sit on the patio and enjoy a good breakfast. Staff was friendly, would come back when in town again! The coffee was good too.

Party of 4 and we all loved our food and service! See pictures for receipt. The biggest sign of excellence is we all ate our leftovers lol. That never happens. This is right in the heart of Breck and in a very walkable area. Service was fast, friendly and easy. My meal was excellent but if you are low carb, there aren't any choices! Two finished their meal and the other two ate leftovers...unheard of from this group :))))

Food was really good and service was attentive. The corn beef hash and French toast were both tasty and had a lot of flavor. The show stopper though were the lattes. We got the “chocolate kisses” and “cinnamon roll” lattes. Super sweet and tasted like Christmas! 🤣

Exceptional homey, rustic diner atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the city for visitors needing recommendations. I had the corned beef hash eggs benedict, and it was SO GOOD! As someone with ~1M views on restaurant reviews, I am glad to add Columbine Cafe, a mountain hole-in-the wall restaurant, to my must-try locations!

Enormous pancakes, made with a sweet batter and absolutely delicious. We also got the Breck scramble with chorizo, french toast, oatmeal, hangover burrito, and omelette. Everything was great!!

We were recommended to this Café by the eager Run shuttle driver, and we are happy we listened! He also recommended the corned beef hash for breakfast, and it was the best. It is slow smoked for 14 hours - per our server - and it is worth it! Everything from the food to the service was exceptional.

The portions were perfectly oversized and you will not leave disappointed or with an empty stomach. The food was extremely good for all of us. The star of the table was the corn beef hash, it was made with real shredded corned beef (not canned or store bought). The drinks were all very good and more than anything it was extremely reasonably priced. We will for sure visit them again if we are ever in Breckenridge. Finally the service was homey and friendly.

Great food here! The place gets packed quickly though and they seemed to be overwhelmed. I would have preferred a table away from the door so that I didn’t have to wear my jacket inside, but the food was worth it.

Simply superb. I had been craving biscuits and gravy and this place delivered. Possibly the best I have had in my life! The bacon was on fleek. No cap. The veggie Benedict was scrumptious. The hashbrowns were to die for.

Best Breakfast in Breck! Service was also some of the best i've ever experienced. Try the ghost pepper cheese! Had the Juevos Rancheros with super fresh fruit. French toast was delicious as well!

I came here for the corned beef and I was not disappointed. I have been sampling corned beef breakfasts from all over America and when I was told this is cooked over 15 hours - well I just had to try it. The place was nice, clean and well-staffed. No one at our table was unhappy. The server was great and the food came out in a timely manner.

I want to travel back 1/2-way across the country just for one of those breakfast burritos! It. Was. AMAZING. My son had the Trout and eggs- also delicious!! Finished up with a good coffee to-go! Will DEFINITELY be back when in the area!! Short walk (maybe 1.5 blocks) from a large public parking lot. We were easily able get our RV in and out!

Every time I am in the mountains I make it a priority to get breakfast here! I typically order the western omelette as it is loaded with ham and peppers! The biscuit is a new favorite of mine as well! I overheard another table say they have gluten free bread, but I did not see it anywhere on the menu. I didn’t ask though either. So perhaps ask and see!

For a group of nine we had to wait 1 hour at 11am. They text you when your table is ready which worked for us. We shopped while waiting. Indoor seating. Attentive service from start to finish. Food is pretty good. Has browns are not crispy kind of soggy.

We visited January 2022 . Food was delicious!! Service Was great and quick. The wait to get seated was terrible! But we did not call ahead or had a reservation and we arrived at the peak of breakfast rush , we did not find a lot of places open for breakfast at that time , when we return I will definitely call and make a reservation.

Lovely restaurant with great food. I have been here multiple times, usually you have to wait between 15-45 minutes unless you come really early. Everything is good except their French toast ( not recommended at all)

This place is popular, so expect to be on a list and plan your time around it. It’s worth the Huge pancakes! We had 2 pancakes and the breck scramble. It was plenty for 2 people. The service was attentive, accurate, and experienced. We were well taken care of and the food was perfectly cooked.

We have come to Columbine Cafe several times since years ago. We came again today and prices got higher and food wasn't as good as it used to be. I always order the columbine Benedict since they used to be the best. I have to say that I was disappointed today. Egg yolks we're overcooked, not enough hollandaise sauce and half amount of hash browns. The food my family ordered wasn't as good as it used to be either. We are sad that was the case since it was one of our favorite places to go when we come to Breck.

Great place! Amazing food, huge servings and good service. If you're going skiing after I'd suggest splitting a plate with their serving sizes!

Great breakfast, affordable, large portions, good flavor, cozy cafe. We enjoyed the corned beef hash eggs Benedict - sub biscuit and add a side of green pork chili. We also ordered a pancake- it was massive.

Expected more after reading the reviews. The food was okay. The French toast tasted like soft bread no hints of cinnamon, nutmeg or a good batter being used to make it. The eggs Benedict looked beautiful but were not super flavorful. The grits come (as in most breakfast spots) without seasoning so add salt and butter if you order them. The other items were good but I would have been surprised if they weren't: the bacon, sausage link and a fried egg for example.. This location has one thing, good pricing in a tourist ski town.

My favorite spot for breakfast in town, the courtyard special with fruit is amazing! and the staff is always nice and fast.
