Too cold. A bit grubby, but otherwise fine apart from the cold. There is a cooling/heating system with vents that loudly rumble and intermittently clang. This is disturbing, but I kept it on because I can't sleep when too cold. I set the thermostat to 30 degrees C, and kept it on all night, but the room did not warm up at all. I ended up switching on the heated towel rail at about 3am, so desperate was I, but it did not help appreciably. There is a sign on the unit that says that the staff have to switch between heating and cooling so I guess it could have been fixed on the cooling setting, but that would still be pretty poor service near the end of November. Apart from the very mouldy non-slip mat, and a red stain on the duvet cover, everything else was fine. Comfy bed, quiet, fridge, shower/bath, pleasant person on the front desk, but as I went there to sleep, and couldn't due to the cold it all counted for naught

Holiday Inn Brentwood is a fantastic choice! The staff was welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. The on-site facilities and dining options made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

I’ve stay here alot of times and love it, staff great from the front desk to house keeping. This time i did use the pool, gym sauna and steam room also the jacuzzi. The big man in the leisure reception is an all around man, explain everything i need to know very nice man.

Wonderful welcome - glad to be informed of half-price parking for hotel guests. Enjoyed the Friday evening live music - lovely relaxed atmosphere. Easy connection to pick up Elizabeth Line into London.

Unrivalled welcome. Magnificent hospitality and engagement from the moment I walked through the door. This is what is missing elsewhere but hugely present here. Great room and facilities as well as really nice food. Combined with the great location this hotel and its staff is an absolute jewel. Thank you.

We come to the holiday inn regularly for breakfast and dinner with our 2 children. The staff know us by name and always make a fuss of our girls. The service is always brilliant and we always feel looked after.

By far the best holiday inn I have stayed at. The staff will go far and beyond for you. The receptionist staff especially Charlotte and Elle will always be helpful, also from the waiting staff to the bar staff they cant do enough for you. Good food, good rooms and clean.

My wife and I, along with a large group of friends, enjoyed a three day stay. We were looked after very well. The rooms were comfortable and clean, providing the ideal base for day trips into London. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

My cousin and his family remarked on how welcoming Julie and her team were at the bar and in Marco's. They were staying at the hotel but had not booked a table and were very well looked after when the five of them decided to eat there at the last minute. They also said the location provided a great base for visiting family and for their onward journey.

I didn't stay there so I don't know about the rooms. The service is always very efficient. The location is excellent. You can access it by car, by train and the bus stop is near to get to the hotel. Very close to transport links. Overall it has other facilities (gym) and a small spa area (sauna and steam room). This can be expanded to make a very high class spa. Overall, it has been very well thought out from the start. It has extra space to allow for improvements and it can be extended to include more meeting rooms/presentation spaces. The technology needs a big upgrade. It could have a smart TV, screen sharing from my phone and speakers. Overall, it is a good facility.

This Holiday Inn is quite nice. Had a very pleasant stay. A couple of minor things but I’m not detracting from the score. Bathroom door (room 211) is a bit loose on the hinges so you have to jiggle the door to close it. EV charger out front doesn’t seem to recognize US credit cards and wouldn’t take Apple Pay. Not a fault of the hotel. The breakfast was very good and dinner the night before was also very good. Recommend booking a reservation for dinner. Waitstaff was very attentive. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. If ever in this part of the greater London area I’d stay here again.

Great staff, modern bar and lounge area but very dated rooms. I believe a refurb has started. So should improve. Average breakfast but dinner fine.

Great location while working in Romford, just off the M25. Rooms are fairly up to date with more general decorating still being done. Even though was fairly busy they had plenty of staff at the reception desks to deal with it Bar and restaurant are well set out, didn't have time to eat but would have eaten here. Will be staying again while in area Free parking if you book direct with hotel or you need to pay at machine right by main reception so you can't miss it, no sneaky fees

Moved there from Premier inn mid stay as it was absolutely awful . What a difference and This is also a 3* hotel . Holiday inn staff starting with the front of the house desk to bar staff to restaurant staff- amazing , polite and welcoming. Even the cleaning ladies in the corridors around the room where no one can see them also really polite and friendly. Every morning , saying Hello And Good morning. Massive difference to the Premier inn . I stayed with my two daughters a couple of weeks ago. Rooms standards much higher , better beds , better sleep . Food was absolutely delicious served to us by this lovely lady called Renata I believe , always smiling and polite . The ladies at the front desk also very pleasant to deal with , smiling and every morning a nice "Good morning " to you . That's all you want from a hotel stay just a nice polite Good morning and a decent food . Food was beyond my expectations, the chef there is fantastic especially the grilled Sea bass on the bed on sautee potatoes with leeks and peas with tarragon -Delicious. The person who run the health club also very polite and nice to talk to and advice . The only one thing that happened was , my daughter has forgot her retainers that costed over £300 when she realised she left them there after we checked out , we have checked with the cleaning ladies they said they haven't found anything so £300 lost due to this as my daughter needed then to replace them . Shame . All in all Staff all around 5* Food 5* Service 5* Rooms 5* Health club ,which is a bonus 5* HIGHLY RECOMMENDED . I think would be a good idea if someone from the hotels standards would look in to it as I really cannot really comprehend how a Fantastic Holiday Inn Vs Absolutely shocking and Awful Premier Inn have the same star count ??!! Holiday Inn I Thank You kindly for making my stay better after an awful experience at Premier In ( Hotel from Hell ) Thank you again ⭐️

Really excellent overnight stay. Above all the staff were most welcoming. The room was well prepared. Good restaurant with reasonable prices and a cheery bar. Breakfast was good too. The public areas offer a great space to meet and to work.

A lovely hotel, rooms are great, the facilities are excellent and the staff are very very helpful, enjoyed our stay, but my partners van got broken into on the Friday night, stole some of his tools etc, there is a notice on the reception desk about this happening to other guests, but we didn't see it at the time, would be good if the reception team could ask you, when checking in, if you have a van or car so you can put it in the barrier side of the hotel. But other than that this was a really lovely hotel with a swimming pool etc.

This is as good as any other holiday Inn. It has all the amenities that you require. There is a large car park and the rooms are okay. Unfortunately there is a charge to stay in the car park and this is £8.00 a day on top of the cost of the hotel which was unexpected.

The hotel is quite oldish and needs refurbishment. The staff is polite although they missed the confirmed reservation. Breakfast is ok, great poached eggs, but no black pudding:)

Upgraded to executive room, the bed was really massive, newly refurbished, bigger flat screen, room is very clean. Unfortunately I was too tired to try out the pool. Will definitely be back. Only negative 4 me was that parking was not free , I was told because I made my booking thur booking dot Com.

Stayed there with families before Christmas. The meals were lovely and the room overall is alright 🙃 Swimming pool is awesome, got me a chance to swim again after a long time. And they even got saunas and steam rooms. Gym was opened as well! Quite alright.

The location is easy to get to from the m25 with free parking. When I entered the reception area, I was greeted by the staff who were very professional and extremely well manored. The room was spotless, nice hot shower. When I went down for breakfast, the gentleman who asked for the room number was lovely and explained why he needed the room number and explained it was self service, he also offered to help if needed. They have a pool and spa which is well maintained and again the staff are great. You have a few options for wifi. The free wifi covers the entire hotel, and the speed is very good. If you're disabled don't worry. The hotel caters for disabled people, and you have more than enough space moving throughout and at breakfast. The food in the hotel is reasonably priced, and service is very good. If you want to order food to the hotel from a pizza house etc, let reception know and they will call you and let you know it's arrived. Would I stay here again? YES

Staff and service in the lobby area, excellent. Very helpful. Coffee was also good with Starbucks used as the brand. Parking free for 3 hours by scanning the QR code inside. Plenty of parking as well. Good location next to JCT 28 of the M25.

We booked an executive room and were impressed. Massive bed, rain shower, basic toiletries, plenty of USB points, fridge, good size TV, water, coffee etc. Friendly and welcoming staff, decent breakfast. Not much noise either from the M25. Lots of parking. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend

I been staying here for past 10 years. I can say personally I've felt at home every time I've stopped here. The staff are amazing g and very helpful, especially Donna who goes above and beyond to ensure the stay is as comfortable as possible. Great bar, great restaurant and also has a gym with pool. Wouldn't stop anywhere else while working in Essex.

We stayed in a family room (2adults and 2 children). It was just for one night as we didn't want to drive home late at night with tired children in the car. The rooms was clean and reasonably maintained, the only issue was the draught from the windows when shut. The hotel has an onsite restaurant, gym and swimming pool. Everything you need for short stop to refresh up a night.

I stay away in hotels 5 days a week for work and I have to say this is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. The decor is dated, extraction vents don't work in the bathrooms and TVs have controls locked on them which means you can't plug in a firestick and watch Netflix. (Btw TVs are over 10years old). Furthermore with my reservation there we're instructions provided which were completely ignored. I had breakfast and dinner paid by my employer. I had to fight with staff in the morning to get breakfast and again in the evening to get dinner. I had to forward reception an email regarding my dinner allowance before it was honoured, the email they had already received. I chose this hotel because of the distance to my jobs but now I regret it. I would have gladly added extra 30mins daily to my commute in order to avoid staying here again. I'm certainly not returning. I would highly advice to stay away!

Went for a hen do it was park of a package deal. Rooms weren't ready on arrival. I found toothpaste on my coffee mug. Empty gin can on the window ledge. Evening meal was good. Extra charge of £15 for breakfast

Decent hotel and restaurant for a good price. Breakfast really good as well. Nice to have a Pool for the kids. Special shoutout to Julie, the Day Shift Supervisor. Julie couldn't of been more helpful and really went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect.
