Nice place to spend an afternoon. The halk watch point view is worth watch. There is a small man made waterfalls nearby. It's a 20 min walk from the hawk watch view point. The walk trail takes you to the top of the dam where the water starts falling down. But the best part is that we can walk down the rocks to the bottom of the falls, and have a nice time walking around sitting in the rocks surrounded by water stream.

This place lives up to it's name and saw multiple hawks flying around while just standing at this outlook. Great place to watch the sunset too.

Nice wooded trail leading observation area on a rocky cliff overlooking the Stavola Bound Brook Quarry. Awesome spot to catch a sunset, or to see some hawks. Sadly human carelessness is evident with trash and broken bottles.

This scenic overlook is accessible via a short paved path from a nearby free parking lot in the park. The fenced concrete platform is quite large for many people to enjoy. It includes the locally-famous Chimney Rock, painted in white so that it's visible for a great distance. The hawk watch and historic rock sit atop a hundred foot cliff. The rock looks a bit like a chimney top, hence the name. Many things in the area are then named after this Chimney Rock (e.g. a road, a quarry, a restaurant and former inn/hotel, a new shopping center). From the overlook, you can watch migrating birds of prey (hawks and falcons), and look down with unobstructed view at one of the largest active quarries in NJ. I wish there were historical markers or at least a sign post labeling the Chimney Rock, as the area was a tourist attraction even in the 1700s for people traveling from NYC to Philadelphia.

Been here many times! Can see lots of hawks and birds. View is nice. Can see all the quarry work as well. Only downside is that the place gets traahed with broken bottles immediately in front of the look out

I see more hawks at home in South Jersey than here. But it's pretty cool when the bombs go off in the quarry. It's a nice place to see the area from up high. They really should get rid of the Hawk Watch Area title since there really aren't that many hawks here.

Good view from the spot apart from the mining facility which covers most of the view

Lots of hawks during migration season. You can view them up close. Late afternoon is best time based on sun direction.
