Absolutely amazing!!! Staff and chef were fantastic!! The meal was huge and quality for the price. Will definitely be going back. I've been to all the carverys locally and they were rubbish compared to the Sunday dinners we ate today at The Rose and Crown

Very good lunch. Chunky chips and large portions. Would love to go back for dinner. Update: Went back for an early dinner with the family. Still excellent. Also dog friendly!

We visited on the 22nd May, social distancing was maintained, good service from staff! They was short staffed so longer waiting times but customer service was great despite this, friendly staff and the food! Wow! Very tasty! Will definitely be back

My favourite pub in cleck - they have a function room around the back but this mostly gets used to watch football in. Bit of a shame the projector they have in there isn’t used anymore though I do know it was on the blink.

Really hate putting this review on but the food today was absolutely disgusting and when we complained they didn't even seem surprised. Had beef sunday lunch and was so tough was literally inedible. Veg undercooked one roast potato which we couldn't even cut. Dont know what was going on but was just terrible. Obviously we told them.and their solution was to bring us some steak.knives. He knew it was tough and said its because we've been so busy. There was literally no taste in anything gravy was like water. They knocked about 4 pound off the bill thats all. I had to leave while my husband paid as I was so angry. Really really bad today just don't know what had happened

Overall the food was quite disappointing for me but everyone else's meals looked good. Salmon pasta was extremely fishy and not very tasty but edible. Was given options for desert but when I ordered cheesecake they took 15 mins to tell me they had none left, ordered sticky toffee pudding instead it came 10 mins later without any sauce and was very dry. When I enquired as to where the sauce was, they said they had run out (but served it to me anyway). Apologies were made but I sent this back to the kitchen. My husband's meal was better as was his desert and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The pub it's self is lovely with a warm welcoming atmosphere, good beer and cider.

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday, we had booked in 5 of us when we arrived our table was not even set up. The food was shocking the meat was so tough none of us could cut it, veg was also hard. Asked for more gravy which we never got we will definitely not be returning. We took the beef home for the dogs.

Was really looking forward to eating here, heard lots of good reviews from people. After the mess up with our reservation which quite uncomfortable really, the food was really good, cooked well and good quality, apart from they'd run out of some of the veg, not offered anything else, Our waitress was lovely, and I felt really sorry for her having to sort everything out bless her.

Gorgeous pub. Excellent menu, with a large number of vegetarian options. Good, honest , good value pub grub. Nice selection of cask ales in very good condition. Service absolutely outstanding, and dog friendly as well! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Lovely service and fantastic food. Just given 4 stars because it was a little cold in the pub, even with the fire on. But will definitely return.

Bit of a mix up with numbers, but soon sorted. All staff friendly and efficient. Food lovely, extra veg and gravy brought without asking, great!

Rose and Crown isn't just a pub with food, the staff location and entertainment, is more than what you'd get from most public houses these days. Homemade food and real ales, freshly cooked non microwave or frozen food, freshly made chips as well. It has a little courtyard at the back which is leading to another venue perfect for small parties and great for sports. This has to be an amazing little gem for the area with lots of entertainment to offer, will be coming back again in the future.

We were looking for a traditional English pub, with good food and friendly atmosphere. The Rose & Crown delivered on them all! They have a great selection of cask ales, which frequently rotate. The food menu is extensive and we all loved them. We’re going back, no question.

Friendly staff, cosy pub with big portions. Food very down to earth. Although tables were spaced out, too many visitors wondering around pub without masks on. Ditto staff too.
