Oh so good Malaysian nasi campur (mixed rice)! 🍛🇲🇾😍 Come at night for their mouth watering satays! Honestly, I can't fault the dishes and the variety offered. Authentic and delicious. My favourites here are beef rendang, stir fried eggplants, kangkung (water spinach), pipis, asam fish and fried chicken. The chicken Marmite were a little too sweet for my liking, though. Their beef and chicken satays were chunky, moist and tender, served with satay sauce. + You get to choose whether you prefer plain white rice or coconut rice for the same price + Satays are served from 5pm onwards + Get $3 voucher for every $30 spent here + sit at the first come, first served open air styled seatings at the outdoor Market Square

10.11.2022 We visited at 7pm and the counter staff was very helpful explaining the Menu to me. I ordered the Chicken and Beef Satay which took 5 minutes to warm up (not cook). The Satay was passable with the tasty Satay Sauce but it tasted precooked from an electric grill, then warmed up over the charcoal grill. This is not the way for Malaysian Satay to be grilled and served. Can management please clarify? Food rating 3/5 Service rating 5/5

Although it’s my first time here, I would say it’s my favourite Malai cuisine at the greater Sunnybank. I ordered two seafood and one veg with rices today. Assam fish, fired prawns with strike beans and curry cabbage. Perfect!

SATAY REVIEW: Been here several times and the satay is consistently amazing. Perfect char, meat is juicy and beautifully marinated, peanut sauce is on point. They know how good the satay is though, because they don't give the accompanying compressed rice cakes like they used to anymore, and the stingy amount of cucumber and onions slices is embarrassing. However, we will go back every time because the meat is worth it! Ps: we also had nasi campur, but I wanted to focus on the satay for my review...

Went and try the new breakfast on weekends. Ordered mix of noodles for 6 aud and portion was small (see attached pic where noodles as you can see didnt even fill the takeaway box). This is in comparison to halftime who does a box full of noodles for similar price

saw someone wrote in the review saying the breakfast potion is small; however, I tried Saturday morning. It’s a great deal for $6! Could mixed two noodles or friend rice! And their fried chicken is crispy and delicious! Service is great!

We ordered Nasi Campur (rice with mixed dishes) with assam fish (fish in spicy tamarind sauce), salt & pepper tofu and stir fry egg plant. Portion was huge and flavour was good. Good value! Service was swift as well. The only downside was that the food court area wasn't cleaned regularly and we got to clean up the leftovers from previous diners. It can get crowded at times, making it difficult to get a table with seats.

Decide to try satay boss again even tho they’ve repeatedly disappoint me. Today, the men served my food like I was a prison, so unappetising. Then my coconut rice came with a side of coconut cream, lots of them. For $18, I can I make this better and cheaper at home. Their quality dropped since opening. Never coming back

Went there in last minutes, still have heps of choice. Always wondering to try when it opening. Finally tried their satay skewers which is out of expectations. The satay sauce just as same as the one i had in Malaysia. The one meat and two vegetables special box which is also outstanding. Adding $2 for the dumpstick is a good deal. The staffs is so kind to explain the dishes as well.

Just had the best Satay Chimkin of my life. No messing around, no exotic toppings, just plain and simple chicken skewers, with a delicious tub of Satay sauce, and a small side of onions and cucumber. Both the flavour and texture was absolutely perfect. Couldn't recommend it enough. We will be back to try everything else!!

Food is fine. I liked their Nasi Lemak, especially the source. Fried Tofu was good too. However, the lady who took my order was not very professional. She did not even looked at me with very cold attitude. and it made me uncomfortable and made me feel like I did something wrong. Not really nice customer serving attitude.

‼️Must try if you're ever in the area‼️ Seriously, so good! A lot of the dishes get sold out by 7pm onward so get there a bit earlier to have the best range to choose from

This is just located beside the market place. There is a big area like a hawker centre there. Few restaurants. I decided to try the Satay Boss as I want to try the Malaysian food and see how authentic it is. I ordered the signature nasi lemak. If you are familiar with nasi lemak, the heart of it is the sambal. But the sambal is not that good but it is alright. I guess they have modified it, as it can be very very spicy. Another thing I have noticed is they put sugar on their ikan bilis, sorry anchovies. Bad habit for a Malaysian. Which is very different from the home country. But the portion is big. I eat it for my lunch and I am still full at dinner time. Overall it is not bad. Maybe it is the best Malaysian food around here?

Satay Boss is a fantastic Malaysian Street Food that offers a range of classic Malaysian dishes, but the highlight of the restaurant is definitely the satay. The skewers of grilled meat are tender and flavorful, and the peanut sauce that accompanies them is rich and delicious. I also highly recommend the beef rendang, which is a slow-cooked beef dish in a spicy coconut milk sauce. The flavors are complex and the meat is incredibly tender. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant also offers takeout option, which is great for those who want to enjoy the food from the comfort of their own home. Overall, I highly recommend Satay Boss for anyone looking for delicious Malaysian food in Sunnybank Market Square. The quality of the food and the friendly service make for a wonderful foodie experience.

Portion size was decent but everything was cold. The flavour of the curries wasn’t bad but lacking something I can’t put my finger on. The sambal that’s served with it is on the fishier side , which my friend didn’t enjoy. The skewers ( not pictured ) were quite cool and not hot , which was an issue with all the food. It was very luke warm. The skewers them selves weren’t bad though and the satay sauce has a good balance of flavour and sweetness. Won’t rush back but would have again sometime.
