Matt and I had an amazing experience with Mike and the whole Diamondport team. I had an idea of what I wanted for my engagement ring; a rose gold halo style ring that looked like a flower. They designed it perfectly and really listened to what I wanted. It was what I imagined in my mind and would not have been able to find in any other jewelers. We recently had them design the wedding ring as well, and again I took my idea - of a horseshoe style rose gold band which circled and highlighted the main diamond. I contacted Diamond Port as I was leaving Australia in 3 weeks and wanted to propose to my girlfriend (fiancee) before we returned home after 2 and a half years on our travels. As I was in a regional area and unable to get to Brisbane until a week before we left Australia, I was stressed at trying to get the perfect engagement ring in such a tight timeframe before I left. I met Ashley 8 days before I was going to propose, I showed him some pictures of engagement rings that I thought my girlfriend would like. From these pictures he designed an engagement ring that we hoped my girlfriend would love. I was very nervous that she wouldn't like the ring and was stressed that if she didn't like it, there wouldn't be enough time to design a new one (as we flew home 4 days after the proposal). Ashley assured me that if she didn't like the ring he would design a new one before we left Australia. Thankfully my now fiancee loved the engagement ring and she said yes😂. I had booked an appointment with Ashley the day after I proposed and we met him to get the ring resized. The service provided was top class and Ashley handled everything very professionally. Ashley is amazing at what he does, he takes the time to listen, loves to have a chat but mostly creates beautiful jewellery. He is very much a people person and it’s easy to tell this is his passion. Great customer service !! The team were amazing helping us bring our vision to life. They were super friendly and even when I decided that my band profile wasn’t quite right ( which they advised but I did anyway ) they were more than happy to change it and even offered same day drop off/ pick up so I had it in time for our engagement party . I had an initial phone (FaceTime) call, where not only did he walk me around showing me where the rings were made but absolutely had a deep understanding of what I wanted. We shared inspiration pictures and I picked up the engagement ring a few weeks back. Stunning! Everything I asked for. I had visited Ashley back in 2016 to get him to help design a men's ring with a turquoise stone I supplied. I had called multiple jewellers who would not help me and Ash was all too happy to assist with my request! Him and I worked together to develop my ring and I still wear it to this day! I had always planned on coming back to get his assistance once again when I was ready to purchase an engagement ring. Late last year I came back to Ashley and he helped me design a beautiful emerald cut diamond engagement ring which was everything I had hoped for! It is stunning and we are both pleased with it.
