I have been to the Turtle Bay in Bristol several times and the food has always been amazing! I have never had any issues with the food! Their cocktails are also really good - especially if you can do the 2-4-1 offer, it makes them a lot cheaper! Sometimes I find Turtle Bay can be really noisy but it’s good if you like that loud kind of atmosphere. It can also get very busy so I would recommend to book a table in advance for food! I have been to a few birthday meals at Turtle Bay and they can accommodate a big table if you give them enough notice! Lovely place!

Eating at the turtle bay was a unique experience. We had the garlic pit prawns, the Trini doubles, the sweet corn fritters, the salt fish fritters, the jerk chicken and some drinks. Everything was delicious, the staff was very polite and helpful, the prices were good and they had a happy hour for the cocktails! It was my first time eating Caribbean and it was absolutely great. I totally recommend it. It would be nice to make a reservation before you go.

I was absolutely disappointed with everything. I met a friend for the bottomless brunch. Firstly, I don't think your literature makes it clear that you only get one very small dish to eat. Secondly, I understand that the bottomless cocktails aren't bottomless and are controlled by how often you are served but I felt ignored by your staff! Completely. It was so difficult to flag anyone down. The staff spent quite a bit of time stood around chatting which just annoyed me more. Nobody asked if our food was okay, it wasn't. The chicken in my burger was kind of slimy. Lastly, the cocktails themselves, I should have at least felt tipsy by the end of the two hours, I felt nothing. I can only conclude (based on taste too) that your cocktails have very small measures of alcohol. All in all I felt like I wasted my money. I have no intention of ever returning.

As it was our first time Poppy made sure we knew how it all worked and made sure we enjoyed our stay as best as possible. We liked this branch, it is colourful and had a great vibe. Food was yummy and the price quite reasonable. We had the curries and fried chicken. We were, however, a bit disappointed with tge service. You don't feel much welcomed and had to wait quite some time to be acknowledged and eventually served.

What a fabulous experience! The food was super delicious, the staff friendly and attentive and with 2 for 1 on cocktails for happy hour, what more could you want! Great atmosphere with music just loud enough to hear but quiet enough for good conversation, our party had a great time & loved the food selection we had. Thank you!

As a fan of spicy and Caribbean food I really enjoyed Turtle Bay! The service was very friendly and welcoming and service was prompt. I opted for the jerk salmon which was very good and a decent portion size - we ordered the 2 for 1 cocktails which to me didn't taste like they had any alcohol in but were refreshing all the same. Lots more I'd like to try from the menu!

I cannot recommend this place enough! My friend and I went after watching a matinee performance at the hippodrome. Considering it was Saturday, happy hour and super busy the service was absolutely brilliant. Lovely lady hosting and showing us to our table. Loved seeing all the bar staff making their famous cocktails as soon as you enter, the vibe is fantastic. We had a young lady serving us who was attentive and always made sure our meal was ok and we were topped up on our drinks. Food was out of this world! Will I be back, oh yes most definitely.

Amazing breakfast at turtle bay Pierce and Ginni delivered amazing service, Charlie made my drinks and Tim cooked my food. 10000% worth it for breakfast and lunch!!!! I believe that's the best place to have breakfast as coffee and soft drinks are for free until 12

WE LOVE ALI!! Best waiter that we’ve ever had. We came for happy hour cocktails for my friends birthday and he was so efficient and friendly And even recommended some secret menu cocktails! On top of that, he has the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. I’m sorry but I had to say it. It’s a shame he is in a relationship :( we will b back soon when he’s single!

Drinks are fantastic and a really good variety of cocktails, food was great too with plenty of vegan options. Our server, Mia was fantastic, she was very warm and friendly, she had great knowledge on dietary requirements, and what could be altered on cocktails. Would highly recommend :)

We had the Brown Chicken , if anyone from a West Indian background had this they would definitely not say this is what we call brown stew chicken. The base is made by caramelised sugar to get the brown sauce then adding herbs. This tasted like a chilli type infussion of an english stew. The chicken also tastes fresh as if it hadnt been marinated... really terrible...so if you are expecting real Caribbean flavours this isnt it. The 2 for one cocktails very water down..I had Marley Mojito and my partner coconut Espresso Martini. Totally underwhelmed by the whole experience, serviced by very young inexperinced staff that ask the same questions How was it? And totally dont want to know the answer ..

Thriving on a Saturday afternoon. Bottomless brunch is something for everyone to enjoy. I can not say enough how great the service was. The food and drinks arrived in great time and did not disappoint. Will definitely return again! Well done to the team!

Went Saturday night for dinner, I had the jerk chicken with mac and cheese, partner had mobay chicken with sweet potato fries. Food was really tasty but portion sizes could be bigger as still hungry after. Could be ok if you don't have a big appetite. Cocktails are ok but would definitely recommend the 2 for £8 rum deal it's far better. (Cinammon rum flavour is best) definitely recommend going as it is a nice vibe for Caribbean food.

I’d heard of this chain, and must have walked past loads of times without knowing! Bored of everything else, pizza, burger etc, this was a pleasant change. Squid for starters then goat curry as a main (see photo). Considering that they knock these out regularly, it looks great and tasted good too. Plenty of heat in it, plus you could add extra hot sauce to give it something extra 🤣. Great.

The food here is so good. Jerk chicken wings are gorgeous, and I had the fried chicken from the soul foods section. Really nice and would recommend. The 2 for 1 cocktails are such good value for money. We came here on a busy Saturday afternoon, didn’t realise it would be so busy (we are not local and the Turtle Bay in our city is always empty!) but we were able to sit in a quieter area as we had our baby with us. Only reason it is not 5* is that we had a 45 minute wait for our main and the starters dishes stayed on our table for the entire wait. I imagine this was due to it being busy, but we did have to get up and find someone to ask where the food was. When it was eventually brought out to us we didn’t receive an apology for the wait (not required as we understood, but it still would have been polite) and the staff member looked a bit disgruntled. The pillar wall right by our seats was also quite dirty and could do with a bit of a deep clean on a quieter day. Mostly a good experience as the food was so tasty!

Went for Brunch yesterday and was really impressed! Good value breakfast for £8.50 with unlimited tea/coffee. Really tasty food as well. Only thing that could be improved is the coffee. Will be back!

Loud and vibrant atmosphere on a Friday evening. Fish fry was delicious although wish there was more dipping sauce as I ran out quickly. 241 cocktails were good value there was more alcohol in my strawberry daiquiris than strawberry flavour 😂

Had Gracie serving us and she was absolutely lovely! Suggested we try the Rum Runner as it’s her favourite and it was gorgeous. Food was amazing … came for bottomless brunch and tried all the new cocktails. Dessert island is definitely worth a try if you like an espresso martini. I wish I could give it a four stars, but I find the reviews quite misleading here. It's my first time visiting this branch. We ordered a Shack Stack Burger, Fried Chicken Fries, Salt Fish Fritters and Cocktails. Despite the delicious sounding burger, the Shack Stack Burger was a plate of sadness 🥺. I don't really know what's the point of having a vegan brioche bun when it contains a beef patty... and the bun definitely needed some toasting. The cheese was not "smothered" like the menu suggest and the lettuce were little and flat. The beef patty was not juicy at all, it tasted frozen and cheap. The fries were soft and not crispy. I'm quite disappointed to be honest. The salt fish fritters needed more frying.

Goat curry was really good. Good level of heat and great flavour. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good with allergies which was great. The cocktails weren't great but when you are buying 2 for 1 it's okay. Mojitos were disappointing.

I was here yesterday with my daughters for a pre Mothers Day bottomless brunch. I had never been before, but my girls had and raved about it. Before we ordered our food we had our cocktails! Lottie was our server and despite it being very busy, she was very attentive and kept our cocktails flowing, if the bar was busy and our cocktails delayed she was on it, really brilliant service 👏🏼👏🏼 Well done Lottie and Turtle Bay, I’ll definitely be back 😊

I don’t know from where to start. I came here randomly and I found my favorite place in Bristol. The food was extremely delicious and that mix of different tastes was amazing. Thanks to the chef Pavel for the best ribs that I ever had with sliced pineapple! This combination was WOW. I tried also the salmon and also got the 5 star. Also I would like to share my experience with the waitress Gabby. Amazing and professional girl who has done her job well. She explained and recommended the specialty from the menu and she was right. I highly recommend this place. The interior is really cool and welcoming. 10 of 10⭐️!

Only recently discovered Turtle Bay and I wish I'd gone before. I'm a real convert. Went for cocktails on Sunday evening, which were well made and served with one of the friendliest smiles I've ever seen. Then back for brunch on Monday. Great atmosphere, friendly, smiley people (who look and act like they actually want to be there) and well presented, well cooked, very tasty food. What can I say? Sign me up for the bottomless brunch - can't wait!

Food wasn't as good as when we normally go there, There was barely anything Jerk about the Salmon my friend had. The thing that ruined it the most was the unnecessarily rude security guy, normally the security here are really friendly but this new guy was a arrogant jumped up little man. Could hear him being rude to literally everyone that came to the door.

Entered the bar was TOLD not asked to wait outside due to the fact we didn't book. Inside and outside pretty much empty. Lady on the booking desk said they don't do walk ins. I understand that the times of a pandemic can be stressful, but the way I was spoken to by a man who worked there was disgraceful. We sat outside with a dog and looked at the drink menus, a man came out and rudely told us to leave as they weren't offering table service outside due to showery weather, however there were no signs to notify us of that, so we seated ourselves along with the other 6 people who were outside (with drinks). I hope his manager is aware of the poor social skills which were displayed. Very disappointed as I love turtle bay as a chain. I will stick to Gloucester road in the future. ?

Just had a great meal at turtle bay with friends. All social distancing measures in place. Staff were great. Food was greater. 2for1 cocktails always helps.

This place has the best atmosphere, great value cocktails and the most delicious food. Our waitress Kia, was especially lovely, warm & chatty, very helpful & knowledgeable with the menu and professional, made us feel totally relaxed, recommending the vegan desserts for me and took a real interest in is to make sure we enjoyed our evening. Told us about the app and even helped when the page wouldn’t load! Nothing was too much trouble. It was my first time there but won’t be my last and I would thoroughly recommend this place. The bar lady was nice and the manager really delightful and made us feel like vip’s.

Great vibe, a lot of space and it is always full! You definitely have to book in advance via their website. The food is fantastic and the drinks are brilliant! Definitely recommend to visit! The food is loaded with flavour and there is a selection of sauces on the table. This review is not a full 5 star as there was a fair few small things which were missed to make the visit better - 1- the white wine was dropped off at the table and it wasn't cold, just cool. The staff didn't give us an ice bucket for it. We had to ask for one. 2- When I asked if the chef could add some chopped chili peppers to the food, I was told just to use the sauces on the table Considering it was really busy - the service was quite good! Highly recommended place for a very chill vibe, good food and great drinks! Definitely try out the rum selection they have! Edit- they also have 2-for-1 cocktail offers!

Great place to start your nightout. Especially during the happy hours where the all the cocktails are 1+1. The food is good but it could get better hence the 4 stars. Prices are very good especially during happy hours as mentioned.

We had Josh as our waiter. He was really good and funny. He was also very accommodating. The only reason I gave a 2 star on the food was because i didn’t realise it was spicy. Other than that the place was amazing and would recommend it to other people who like spicy food. 🥵
