Had to travel 2.5 hrs (Live in NC) for a part for my car that was only in Bristol. Being from just out side Lexington, NC, I was interested in seeing what kind of BBQ Bristol has to offer. Que BristolBBQ!! 1st- sweetest people EVER! SHOUTOUT to the lady from Asheville! 2nd- The tots are done to PERFECTION, and the potato salad gives my wifes a run for its money. Wife couldn't stop talking about her onion rings! 3rd- The MEAT! I got pulled pork. After taking 1 bite, I called them up and told them it was the best I've had (the sauce is PHENOMENAL, but not needed bc the smoke flavor permeates ever strand of meat)! The wife got the brisket, and all she could say was "it's REALLY good". She's not one for words sometimes, specially when something is amazing. 4th and final- MAKE A REASON TO COME HERE! Period! You WONT REGRET A THING!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Brisket tasted like day old pot roast and potato salad basically had no flavor. First time going here and will be my last. Not good!

Likely the worst BBQ I've ever had! This pre-sauced pulled pork sandwich was FULL of gristle and fat. The little I was able to salvage tasted awful! I got a side of beans, potato salad and an extra side of cole slaw to go with my dinner plate - I'd compare their taste to low-end grocery store deli sides, but even that is giving them too much credit .. and what's up with using pork as a filler in the beans?! So, in conclusion, 2 very low quality pulled pork sandwich dinner plates with tiny tasteless sides at a whopping cost of over $20 is a HUGE FAIL!

I’ve been here about 7 times and its a decent place to eat, but it’s definitely not the best Barbecue in Bristol. It’s a drive through only restaurant which gives it a fast food impression, which is not horrible. It’s quick and convenient which is a nice change of pace for a bbq restaurant, and the staff mostly seems pretty nice. Food wise it’s…….okay. It’s nothing horrible but not a top notch bbq dive. Brisket and Pork both have decent flavor but tend to be on the overdone side. Sauce is a over sweetened mess, with a excess of brown sugar and molasses. Side are pretty run of the mill, beans, Mac and cheese, green bean; nothing horrible, nothing great. They do have some interesting combinations such as the BBQ tots and loaded nachos that are a fun spin. Everything is priced reasonably as well. They do have a tendency to be out of certain thing. Not a lot, but enough to notice. Overall Bristol BBQ is the McDonalds of local barbecue. Not a top notch spot by any means, but not horrible. Quick, convenient, mediocre.

Excellent place to drive thru for take home BBQ. The family is always happy when I come home with loaded tots or a BBQ plate. I tried the onion rings this time and was very happy with them. Please give me a "like" if my review helped.

Really delicious and awesome food that is their recipe. Bristol is blessed to have the most awesome barbecue restaurants and this is one of them.

I wish I could say more about this place but I have not been able to get past the Brunswick stew.. It is amazingly delicious. Maybe in the future I might try the brisket or something else. But then again maybe not.

Ordered 2 pork sandwich meals with 2 sides each. Wish I could tell you about the different sides I ordered but they left out my coleslaw and potato salad and gave me nothing but mac & cheese. Ya' had one job........look at ticket and place correct items in bag. Another place I guess you have tear into and inspect your order before you pull away. This was 6:13pm on Oct. 28th 2023

This is by far the best bbq i ever ate in my 40 years. I love the smokey flavor of the meat and the homemade sauce is amazing!! The brunswick stew is on a whole other level of deliciousness! I definitely give this place a 10/10!!!

Some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. Bbq sauce was phenomenal. Such a surprise being a small unassuming building. I had the chance to eat take out here at a Christmas dinner for a local company and it was an amazing experience. Wish you were in gate city.

We have been looking for ribs everywhere and have been disappointed every time. No longer!! Bristol bbq is absolutely delicious fall off the bone ribs just like we wanted. I have never written a review right after eating until now. Highly recommend them. The service was fantastic. They were so very nice and accommodating. We loved everything about this experience and will go back for many times to come!! Thank you Bristol bbq !!!

Was catered for work. Sandwich was smaller than a biscuit, pork was dry and cold as hell. Slaw had zero taste. Canned beans would have been better. And the cookie was a stale bagged piece of dough. Will never eat or recommend this poor excuse for a BBQ joint again.🤮

They can’t seem to ever follow simple instructions, such as what you order. They should just call it mystery BBQ, because when they are out of an item they will gladly substitute for something “they think you would like” instead….. this happened to me 3times in a row, the 3rd time I made it CLEAR….. came home and they still gave me a sandwich with 2 sides and no bread. They also don’t tell you that if you order a meal you get a drink unless you ask….. So if your expecting everything that comes with your meal you have to ask for it individually, down to the bread….. Not to mention their smoke shack also goes up in flames at least once a month……. Someone apparently needs to learn how to run a business. But it’s the only BBQ we have without going several miles. SAD…. Wish someone would change that soon. This place would not stand a chance if they had equal competition.

The barbecue was awesome, as was the service. Friendly people and they kept the drive through moving. Had I only got the BBQ, I'd have given five stars. But the sides left something to be desired. The sides were okay, not great but passable. The coleslaw was kind of tasteless, and the Mac and cheese was...okay. Still, I will definitely be back. BBQ is great! Woo-hoo!

The bbq is great. The service is great and friendly. The atmosphere is about a good as you can get for a drive thru.

great flavor and prompt service for a meal that won’t hurt your wallet. staff is very friendly and gave my dogs some pup cups! would definitely recommend and will be back. brunswick stew awesome as always!

Some of the best Bar B Q chicken and pork I have ever had. The green beans are "slap yo' momma good". Can't wait to eat there again soon.

Staff was very friendly. Food was good. My family had the pulled pork, loaded sweet potato, small smoke chicken, half rack of baby back, slaw, green beans & Mac and cheese. Everything was good, we enjoyed it however the sides portions were very small, hence the reason for the 4 stars.

The BBQ is really good, and the future of producing hydroponic peppers for BBQ sauce looks fine! Enjoyed our visit.

Not impressed. The pulled pork sandwich was dry so was the brisket. Small portions. No sauce nor were we asked if we wanted any. Wasted $25 .

Probably, the most american invention - Drive Through BBQ. Really, you cant walk here, only to drive or leave car on the closest spot and walk to the station. The meats are surprisingly good, as the home made sauce. You can add the sauce to coleslaw and mac and cheese. But really, ask for the brisket platter and ask for the side of chicken. They can do sides of chicken. Isn’t is awesome?

Been going here for years. Simply the best BBQ in the area ...as well as there sides and great potion size. Drive thru, grab some great food and drive to Steels Creek park and have a pic nic...even on a week night, it's a great way to treat yourself. You won't regret it.

Ordered loaded Nachos which were really good, but order blackberry cobbler and when I opened it it was all bread and most of it was burnt and two berries in the whole thing. Called to let them know and pretty much got the I don’t care attitude from the girl that answered the phone.
