This is the first gym that I felt home at. It has a family vibe to it. I've trained here for about two years. When I started I could not throw a roundhouse kick, or have the confidence to spar 1-1 with anyone. Now I have one Amateur K1 fight under me and more fights to come. Paul is a great head coach, he applies the right amount of pressure to encourage you to work harder. Through my time at this gym I have truly developed as a person, seeing how I am capable of much more than I previously thought. Seeing my physique get bigger and stronger. Making good friends along the way, there is a fantastic support network to help you improve in your training and for any advice or concerns. Paul goes out of his way to offer opportunities to his students, taking them to interclubs to gain more experience once they are ready, and organising fights for them. He does not only coach, he will get down gritty with you in the ring and you will see what its like to fight someone who went through his own Muay Thai pilgrimage fighting in Thailand. The gym offers excellent facilities, a sauna which is very helpful post exercise to aid recovery in cortisol reduction. It has a wide range of free weights, bench press, treadmill, assault bike and many more machines. WIth a wide range of classes including Muay Thai, K1 and Strength & Conditioning, it offers something for everyone. Big ups

As a beginner I decided to join the group lesson for Muay Thai and instantly fell in love with it. I signed up for personal training and the trainer is knowledgeable and experienced. The gym is well equipped and accommodates everyone with different level of experience. Definitely recommend!!

I have been training with Paul for the past 20 months. My physical fitness dipped during lockdown as I was no longer attending group exercises st my local gym. Self discipline is not my strong point when it comes to exercising independently, so I signed up for 1:1 PT sessions with Paul and have been going twice a week ever since. We work on functional fitness and for me it is ideal! I’m a busy mum with two young children and my strength and fitness levels have improved so much. Paul is experienced, driven and inspiring. The gym is very well equipped and clean with a welcoming atmosphere; I fully recommend PCT.

PCT has a great atmosphere. Very experienced instructor Paul. Some high level active fighters and very welcoming to people of all levels. The gym itself is modern, prestine condition with everything you could need, resistance, pads, cardio running and bikes, full size ring. Really is a very high quality gym and we love popping over to train. Muay Thai for life ❤

Best Muay Thai gym in Bristol by far, the coach is an expert at both Muay Thai and at teaching. Lessons are a really good mix of fitness, drilling and practice, and everyone there is really supportive.

This gym is legit.  Whether training to compete at any level or for your own personal fitness goals, this gym has the staff expertise and equipment to support you in whatever you want to achieve. Paul is a great guy,  experienced fighter and teacher,  and truly cares about your development - whatever time you put into yourself in doing the work, he will put into you, and will push you to challenge your limits while building your combat confidence at the same time. Same for Mike - his Strength & Conditioning will break you down and build you back up, improving all aspects of fitness along the way. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gym family. A very welcome environment for people of all backgrounds and levels of experience.

I trained with PCT to prepare for the 30-man kumite, one of the toughest tests in martial arts. It involves trying to complete 30 fights against opponents of increasing skill as you get increasingly tired, and is taken in some styles of full-contact Karate as a test of physical and mental resilience. To pass, one skill you need is an ability to repeatedly hit with both power and precision. I started practising Muay Thai because it's arguably the most effective martial art for stand-up striking, training with PCT over a few months 2-3 times a week. Because "drills build skills", I attended the Muay Thai or K1 kickboxing class and applied what I learnt at Friday-night fight club, which attracts a group of competitive yet supportive, friendly fighters. PCT's head coach, Paul, uses the sergeant-major teaching style -- an approach that (in my experience) works best for students who are able to respond to feedback by pushing themselves harder. I passed the 30-man kumite. Paul helped me achieve that. If you want to improve your conditioning, fitness and sparring technique then I highly recommend PCT.

I joined it as I had an upcoming Student Fight Night and I was not disappointed. Firstly the gym is equipped with everything that you need to work out for boxing, kickboxing, muay thai and more. Secondly, Paul is a great coach, transforming 20 students into proper fighters in just two months! I personally can feel my physique getting so much better -I’m fitter, stronger and faster. When I started I had no boxing experience, with no skills at all. I can confidently go into the ring now all ready to fight. Coach is pushing everyone harder and harder with every training session, which is why I think the gym’s training is productive. Overall, PCT gym is the perfect place in Bristol to train-very professional and productive.
