The Capitol brand has created awesome experiences at all their establishments l have been to. Staff are friendly & eager to assist. I really enjoyed the Cafe at this establishment that is available to guests at most hours. The rooms are modern, cozy and perfect for a home away from home which has everything you need. My only negative on this particular location is that my room was on the first floor facing Katherine street & as soon as the street gets busy it's very loud & does disrupt your sleep. More can be done to limit the noise. Also l was only able to book a room without breakfast due to the hotel being full. There should be an option for such guests to order breakfast in if seating is the issue.

Very disappointed as it was not stated that the shuttle service was only for the week, whereas when I booked i was informed of shuttle being available. Also, the staff at check in were not the friendliest bunch however Amanda at our check out was lovely. The place itself was beautiful and the decor was modern and very comfortable. Overall a 3.5 star experience for me.

Great location, our room was very clean, food tasted great. Not really a commendable place for kids though. For those loving to wear short stuff, no skimpy clothes allowed, the security will just turn you back same time, and there are signs everywhere. Personally I enjoyed the pool area.

Lovely ambiance and hospitable. I was attending a conference, and once of the hotel officials, Byron was really helpful and kind. Thank you for your hospitality. The food served was also great despite shortage of dessert....I guess it was a sign to avoid sweet 😋 stuff

Lovely hotel to stay at, room are tastefully decorated and beds are very comfortable. Great location with easy access to malls, nightlife and restaurants. Service is good except for the hotel drop off and pick up zone. They only offer 5seconds waiting time which is extremely frustrating. I could understand implementing this rule at peak time, but in my case it was early in the morning, no other cars in the area and I was being harassed to move. Please train your guards to be more logical, instead of blinding implement rules to annoy guests.

Attended our year-end closing dinner/party on the pool deck. Iphraem was a superb barman, on point and friendly. Thank you ! The venue itself is upmarket, although I could peruse all areas of the lobby as their was another Christmas party sharing the floor. The toilet amenities are clean and spacious. This was much appreciated as it accommodated 2 company Christmas parties ! Would love to experience their room facilities if the service and amenities were this good!

First time staying here. But we booked a privately owned room so I'm not sure what the experience would be like otherwise. The overall atmosphere and place is stunning. The people are friendly. There's an infinity pool, a kids pool and a jacuzzi so that was amazing.

People make the place and the staff here are super friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. This was a business trip for me and the experience was great

I have enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Friendly, respectful welcoming staff. Good food and spacious rooms. The pool too big. It was a WOW moment for me

Been here with my family for five weeks and will extend by minimum 2 weeks as our temporary accomodation. We are staying in a 2 bedroom apartment. Comfortable and quiet. Never checked the pool. For the cleaning initial experience may be not at expected level, but if you speak to management it improves significantly. Sqm is good enough, staff is friendly.

Amazing Modern Hotel with beautiful spacious rooms! Location is 5 min drive from Sandton Mall. Beautiful pool and dinning area. Where it all goes wrong? Service is nonexistent and staff working here lack basic customer service and understanding of the what it takes to run a 4 star hotel. Rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and such entitlement will cause significant damage to the Capital brand. We even found people sleeping in floor corridors and when it gets reported it feels more like we were the problem than what we found. Capital, sort out your staff and lack of skill, then we might consider returning!

I was there on Sunday afternoon for lunch with friends, very beautiful and peaceful. Everything we ordered was good. My pasta was a bit dry but it was really tasty. The young gentlemen that assisted us were friendly too. The birthday girl stayed behind to check in and she had a good time, no complaints at all. There was a DJ at the pool area. Overall a good experience.

Not the best service. Had a black tie event, fancy steak dinner but no steak knife. Let alone the waiter breathing in my face to get my order.

Great place would recommend it to anyone. However, please look into the food handling practices and ensure that this process is done properly. Unfortunately, I got sick twice immediately after eating here.

There were flies in our food and the waitors were rude about it, saying "it's nature what do you expect us to do" Netflix in my room wasn't working, there were also bees at the buffet but my room was nice.

Awesome place, was moving around Jo'Burg and only used the place as a place to stay. We didn't take advantage of much of the features the place had to offer as we already had our own plans in and around Johannesburg. Beautiful place though, we really enjoyed our stay 👑❣️👑

Functional, stylish superclean room with very comfortable bed and good linen... However... Paper thin walls and interleading doors in the (rather small) rooms means VERY LITTLE SOUND PROOFING. Large conferences with much after hours corridor and in- room partying make this feel like a 'dos house'. Malfunctioning TV would not usually bother me but a very feeble attempt at repair did not impress. At R1800 per night, one can do better.

Most was on point except for the meals that were quite spicy sometimes. Too much cheese also for none cheese lovers especially for the snacks.

We were here on business workshop and I was impressed with almost everything. The set-up, the food and service was great, except that the microphone was giving problems, I don't know how many times that guy came to fix it with failure.

Thanks to Francois for an awesome experience and stay. My wife's birthday surprise was well put by him and we are soo grateful for the service. The breakfast was not really much enjoyable improvement may be needed, however thanks to the friendly staff for great service. Francois, I was blessed by you.

Devastating weekend. Went with my 3 female friends to celebrate my birthday for the weekend. In 21 hours of being there we were stopped 3 times by staff members telling us our clothes were too revealing and we must go change. We had to change 3 TIMES. Imagine? The audacity? We are horrified. Why are staff members even analysing us like that?We did not feel comfortable with our stay what so ever. Meanwhile when I made my booking nobody said anything about dress code, on the website there’s nothing related to dress codes. I mean honestly, how convenient. Called my mother immediately and she had to drive all the way to come and lay a serious complaint. Saturday we booked a photographer to come take us pictures. He drove all the way just to be told by once again a staff member at the capital that there are no cameras allowed. I don’t know how we were expected to know that. But it’s just so shocking how people all over social media have photoshoots there all the time. Couldn’t walk in the hotel without looking over our shoulder checking who would stop us next. We asked for ice, the guy came and fetched our ice bucket from our room but never returned. Staff members are so rude, judgmental and incompetent. Worst birthday of my life, never again. What a waste of my money. Do better.

I would have given a 5 star review if the pool area was open or if we were told ahead of time or given a discount for the closed pool. I don't think it was fair to pay full price when the whole pool area was closed. You should mention it on booking sites ahead of time that the pool area will be closed for 6 weeks, so that people can book elsewhere if they want.

First time staying and all seemed really great. However returned this evening and found my room was not cleaned and no fresh towels. Barman also seemed to have an attitude. Phoned reception to inform them of the issue with the room and still 30 minutes later no fresh towels and honestly felt like I was a burden to the hotel. Very sad that when traveling away from home that the simple requirements and pleasantries are not met. Not sure if this will be on my list again!

We got a studio apartment confirmed and paid for this online. We were then told that there were actually no studio apartments and were told to communicate with the booking platform and request a refund. The manager, Karabo was completey apathetic through the whole process. Do not book this hotel because you'll be on your own, calling third party service providers trying to sort out problems you did not cause.

We had a conference at Capital this week. Total professionals. Incredibly helpful team who are ultra friendly and proactive. A smile and a greeting from the doors where you walk past security to check in and all the way through. Nothing is to much trouble for this team. Great rooms and a place where everything just works! We will be back.

The place is decent, clean, top of the range service. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to have an extraordinary experience in vacationing. And I will definitely do Capital on the Park again!!!

Nice hotel and always worth a stay. The rooms are good, but could be a bit bigger. The water pipes running in the wall in my room make horrible noise during the night... Couldn't sleep well. My colleagues didn't had that problem... Must be just some rooms.

It's a business hotel, no doubt. However if you need an afternoon by the pool to relax, or an afternoon meal in a professional environment to reconnect with friends then this is your place. The Korean BBQ ribs were a standout

Fairly new business hotel that has everything you need. Two different room types: One room with bed and desk. The other one with kitchen and living area. OK gym OK pool and sauna Good Internet Stable power generator Good breakfast selection

Even though they advertise Kids Club over the weekend, there was no kids club. So don't be fooled by the false advertising. It's more of a Kids-Making Club over the weekend with partying and half-naked ladies till the early hours of the morning, so if that's your vibe then this is your place.

The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff is amazing and helpful. My boss lost his phone there and he totally got it back after the trustworthy staff investigated and looked at their footage - the staff is honest. The food was also really amazing but it could definitely be more diverse.

That place is awesome, the stuff very kind and welcoming. I can actually mention names of the Older Guy "Baba" that's what they call him. I feel our generation we lack the passion he has about his job. And our waiter Thabo.... Oh my God I was so satisfied and everyone was just absolutely remarkable. The Good music, shout out to the #TequilaGang Movement. I can actually write a book about yesterday alone. But I'm truly happy.

The receptionists are incredibly rude & off putting, they all seem miserable & the manager is truly condescending. I wanted to book a standard room for a couple of days only to be disappointed by the room they gave me. It is believed that The Capital on The Park is better then The Capital Empire but it’s false, Empire is my second home & the workers there are so much friendlier and vibrant. If you’re looking for the best branch, I strongly suggest Empire (if they’re not fully booked) or any other branch besides On the park, you’ll regret it because of all the rules they have & the rude receptionists. I hate that place.

Checked in on a Sat and my room faced a busy road. I took a shower and the floor of the bathroom was flooded because the shower door was allowing it underneath. The bathroom had a bad smell that was very noticeable. I went to the desk on Sun and asked to change rooms because of these things. Being a light sleeper, the road is quite busy and noisy. They said the hotel was fully booked and they would call me on Mon to touch base and see if they could move me. A man came to the room and put some detergent down the shower drain but said the shower tiles needed to be pulled up and reset so the water didn’t run out anymore. Obviously that isn’t something that could be done then. There was no call on Mon nor any other time during the week. I didn’t sleep very well because of the noise but the smell from the bathroom continued and was bad. I was not contacted by anyone from the hotel. Then the WiFi went off and I work from home, so I called and asked to have it checked. The lady said she would contact maintenance. I waited 36 mins and called again and she once again said she would contact maintenance. They finally showed up and said they would check the server. In the meantime I removed the router in the ceiling and inputted it and plugged it back in and the WiFi worked again. Another 30 mins after that the guy came back to check but I had already fixed it. Apparently check out time is 10am at this hotel which I wasn’t informed of. A man knocked on my door at 11:30 saying check out was 10am. He said they needed me out so they could make up the room for a new guest checking in at 12:30, even though when I arrived early I was made to wait an hour to check in. This man was very rude and condescending. I would never stay in this hotel again for the price. There are so many nice hotels to choose from. Was expecting so much more.

Attended a conference tonight. The venue is good but the music beat from a party in the lobby could be heard all the way through the conference. If I was paying for the venue I would ask for my money back.

Stayed for the best part of a week at this hotel in September 2023. It was my first time visiting South Africa and I was amazed by the cleanliness of Johannesburg city and this hotel included. Pros: very clean hotel, very friendly receptionists and waiters, cute rooms, comfy bed, excellent location and I like the greyish theme of the hotel, buffet food was okay. I loved the beef sausages. Cons; the hotel maintenance department should pull up a bit, my room cupboard door had a broken hinge, my wash hand basin sink takes ages to drain, buffet food thougu okay was a bit basic atimes. All in all I'll give this hotel a 7/10. The cleanliness, greyish theme and cute rooms won it for me. Thank you

A beautiful hotel with beautiful people. So far my stay has been wonderful and the staff really make it. A special shout out to Viktor in maintenance that helped me with my electrics in my room on my first night. He was so lovely and helped solve the issue! Thank you
