I
went
to
this
dentistry
office
because
it
was
near
me
and
came
up
on
my
phone
when
I
queried.
I
am
new
to
the
area
and
do
not
know
any
care
givers
yet.
I
had
broken
a
tooth
and
they
were
able
to
give
me
a
timely
appointment.
The
office
is
clean,
the
receptionist
friendly
and
informative,
as
is
the
chair
assistant
who
greeted
me.
One
thing
I
did
notice
was
that
no-one
offered
their
name.
I
waited
extensively
chatting
to
the
chairside
assistant
until
30
minutes
later
the
dentist
appeared.
He
also
did
not
offer
his
name,
although
he
had
a
nametag
on.
He
asked
which
tooth
had
broken
and
I
told
him.
I
had
also
told
the
assistant
and
she
told
him.
She
suggested
at
that
time
to
be
ready
for
an
X-Ray,
which
I
had
no
problem
with.
The
tooth
was
broken
to
the
gum
line
at
the
back.
The
dentist
took
a
mirror
and
a
pick
and
did
a
cursory
exam,
and
then
suggested
he
crown
the
tooth.
I
suggested
filling
it.
I
saw
the
piece
that
came
off
it
and
it
had
a
very
old
filling
in
it.
There
was
no
X-Ray
to
suggest
cracking
of
the
front
of
the
tooth,
and
it
has
never
given
me
problems
before.
I
also
did
not
know
this
dentist
or
his
expertise.
I
know
what
is
involved
with
crown
work
and
how
much
it
costs.
I
thought
a
bit
of
first
aid
would
not
hurt
for
now.
He
filled
it
in
15
minutes.
I
left
$415
poorer,
but
with
the
work
I
requested
done.
I
have
dental
insurance,
so
I'm
not
concerned
about
the
money.
If
I
have
any
more
problems
with
that
tooth
I
will
ask
my
regular
hygienist
in
Kanata
for
the
name
of
a
dentist
she
knows
who
does
good
crowns.
I
have
one
bad
one
in
my
head,
and
I'm
not
chancing
another
one.
The
work
and
people
at
this
practice
are
satisfactory,
but
I
found,
as
a
new
patient
I
wasn't
given
any
information
about
why
a
crown
was
necessary
over
a
filling.
He
had
no
idea
of
my
dental
history,
or
how
old
most
of
my
restorations
are.
I
am
79
years
old
and
am
a
retired
health
care
professional,
so
I
ask
questions.
He
also
did
not
comment
on
a
deciduous
tooth
I
still
have.
It
is
a
gene
abnormality
I
inherited
from
my
father.
Most
dentists
I
have
been
to
remark
on
it
and
say
they
rarely
see
these
teeth
survive
longer
than
35
years.
This
dentist
said
I
would
probably
have
it
forever.
I
take
good
care
of
it,
as
does
my
hygienist,
but
it's
because
we
do
that
I
still
have
it.
All
taken
together,
when
I
am
going
to
continue
going
to
my
regular
hygienist,
I
think
I
will
ask
her
for
a
regular
dentist,
even
if
it
means
travelling
a
long
distance.
