Words cannot describe how AMAZING these donuts are. They are without a doubt the SOFTEST donuts I have ever had. I’m not normally a chocolate frosting person, BUT don’t sleep on the chocolate frosted long john. By far the long johns are the best but all their donuts are incredible. Very reasonably priced- the most expensive donut is $2. Gotta go back to try the Apple fritter and their other flavored donuts (devils food cake and red vegetable).

Freshly baked donuts with good crispy cake donuts and muffins. Red velvet cake donut was our top pick, staff could have been nicer taking our order. We got a dozen and some donut holes. Bathroom are closed to public. We were looking for an awesome donut shop not caring how far the drive and it was okay; probably wouldn’t go out of our way for it again.

Amazing donuts with lots of variety. They do get very busy and sometimes they won’t have your favorite available, but lots of flavors. I love the Old Fashioned and Maple Long John!

This place is great! They made a 56 year-old man, feel like a kid again. Reminded me of a donut store in Elgin I used to go to in the 70's and early 80's. Nice people work here. I hope they treat their employees well, because they deserve it! They are like a team making sure all pandemic-ridden patrons get their amazing donuts. The line is long. I called ahead. It takes awhile to get through, but be patient. Then I just pulled into the parking lot and they brought them out. Around $7 for 6 items. These prices are beyond reasonable. I wish I lived locally.

Amazing donuts...When you can get them. Drove 40 minutes on Father's day at 8 am in the morning had a choice of 6 donuts. No apple fritters, no long johns, no cinnamon rolls, no Boston cream no chocolate donuts nothing. You would think being open 24 hours they would be better prepared to serve their customers on a Sunday morning.

I frequent this place for last 10 years.. great donuts, however the lobby is usually locked since covid which sucks.. but i usually hang out for a bit , get a box of day old and just chill

Amazing donuts and extremely polite employees. If you get lucky, they will give you their day-old donuts for free before they waste them and throw them out. I prefer day old donuts and this is very nice of them...

Visited in the later evening on 7/20/23, my husband and I went through the drive through. The person at the window, T, was the most helpful team member we’ve encountered so far! She had pictures of the donuts that she showed us when we weren’t sure which one we were thinking of, and was very personable. Donuts and coffee as always were great, but the extra-great service made for an extra-great experience. Great job, T!

The best donuts around!!! These donuts are made the way donuts should be made. I was a kid when Country Donuts first opened. I used to go in on Sundays with my neighbor, and watch them make the donuts. They still taste the same as they did 35+ years ago.

I had the privilege to stop and buy a dozen. The staff super friendly and service was fast but verify your donuts if they are fresh you could have some surprise.

We've gotten donuts here twice, first on Doordash after moving here, and once as an online order for pick-up. The first time everything was perfect, no complaints at all! The donuts are very tasty and the service is friendly. My reason for three stars is from the experience ordering for pickup. We selected our donuts from the site and paid, as expected. The team were very friendly when we picked them up, but only half of our donuts were in the box. So we received only three instead of the six we purchased. I absolutely recommend that if you get donuts here you don't use their site and go in person. I'm sure my experience was an anomaly, but I do wish my order had been double checked before it was given to me.

First time coming here and the ladies working were very polite and orderly. My order was quick and I had no complaints at all. Great job. Will be going back, donuts are amazing.

Best tasting donuts around. Always friendly, and they bake all day. Not just in the morning or shipped in like some. My kids like looking through the window to the kitchen while they make the donuts. A must for donut people. Their coffee's good too.

Donuts are amazing but not worth the rude service. Every time I’ve been there the staff is incredibly rushed and rude. It’s one thing to have fast efficient service, but this is not that. This is downright rudeness. Best donuts around, but not worth dealing with the rude staff in my opinion.

Not a big fan of sweets, but my boyfriend dragged me there because he wanted a donut. When we walked in they didn't even acknowledge us. If you want people to buy your product, you should at least welcome them with a big smile. Fake it if you have to. 🤣🫥🫣

An iconic old school business in Crystal Lake that's been here forever. Open 24/7. I still miss being able to sit in there in the mornings over a cup of coffee, or a chocolate milk and donut talking with other locals. Maybe, they will bring that back... Hint hint. Anyways, my go to at this location has always been specialty donuts, or the ever so good jelly donuts. Nice to see an iconic business that's been in Crystal Lake since the 70s in the same location, still thriving. They also have a drive-thru in case you want to wear your powdered sugar or toasted coconut donut before going to school or work. Great job gang, nice to see you still here 👍.

If I could give 6 stars I would :-) We went there on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Having not been there before we just asked for assorted 2 dozen. I have tried plenty of donut shops in Chicago and I do enjoy their unique flavors like salted caramel etc. Country donuts has more basic flavors but they do them extremely well. In particular I enjoyed the chocolate with glaze which tasted like coco puffs (and normally I don't like chocolate donuts). The cruller was fried perfectly as well one of my favorite types of donuts and this one was done perfectly. Oh and Boston cream needs a shout out. I would definitely like to go back again.

Donuts here are amazing! The only thing I wish is that they have a over night cook. I tried early 6 am to purchase a particular donut. French Cruller. My favorite!! There hot chocolate is great. Coffee not so much. Can't go wrong with this small donut shop.

We always try to stop here when we're in the area. The donuts are delicious, especially the apple cider donuts. I love apple cider donuts and these are by far the best I've ever had. Their prices are great, and the service us always fast and friendly. I highly recommend stopping in if you've never been here before. I promise you won't be disappointed!

I stopped here because I heard of a 24 hour donut shop and was intrigued. Sure enough, came in at about 5 pm and they were still cranking out donuts. The place smelled delightful from the outside. We were able to get a big variety of donuts at this time. I felt it was a good price and the service was great. I loved that they had a peek through window to see the bakers in action. The donuts were 10x better than anything you get at dunkin donuts. Soft crumb, the icing wasn't overly sweet. The cake donuts were delicious too! I am not always a cake donut fan but these were great!

Best donuts. Went here my whole childhood up until we moved States. The most consistent spot around. Donuts are made fresh every morning, fluffy moist and melt like cotton candy when you take a bite. Their coffee rolls are my favorite, but other are all close behind. Loved watching them make the donuts. A must!!

Best donuts anywhere, cannot be beat. I would say, if you pass through town, get some. They are light and not greasy, not overly covered in sugar. There are so many choices , we opt for these over birthday cake on birthdays.

I was at this location just a few minutes ago. After 1:00 am, not one person came to the drive thru window to help us. We went to the front door and knocked on it…no answer. I’m very frustrated. For over a year now, after getting off work late, my boyfriend and I will try to go there and get a donut for a treat and they are almost always out of donuts! Like how is a donut shop out of donuts??? And it’s not once or twice, it’s a consistent pattern. Then today, I show up and not only do they have shelves of donuts, but there is no one apparently there to serve them. The lights are shining bright. Cars are parked in the parking lot, but nothing. Several cars pulled in and out and were not served. This is terrible. And it just gets worse. They reason they get two stars is because their donuts are freaking delicious.

So delicious and worth the wait! This place can get very busy, but there are tons of staff working to keep things efficient. The donuts are always amazing!

First time I’ve ordered from this bakery and I’m in love! The cake was beautiful and delicious too! All my guests enjoyed it and asked where I got it from! The bakery is a very sweet local family owned business. We will be back!

I stopped at Country Donuts after picking up my puppy from Bull Valley. For this city girl, Country Donuts is worth the pit stop! Somehow, their glazed donuts are crispy on the outside yet fluffy inside. Not too sweet and simply satisfying. Now, I dream about that donut and coffee combo. It's been months since I had those two perfectly baked/fried donuts and I'm conjuring up excuses to make the drive again! See you soon!!!

Best donuts around and worth the trip. It can get crowded in the drive thru and sometimes the phone system cannot handle the volume but the reward of a fresh fluffy donut helps you forget. If you have not tried Country Donuts you should because other donut shops (DD ;)) can't compete.

There is no place like Country Donuts!!! They are far and away better than Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme! Presently, the store is drive thru and curbside only. We did curbside by looking up the menu online and calling in our order from the front parking lot. This gave us time to really think about what we wanted instead of having to make quick decisions in the drive thru line. It looks like they are handling COVID okay. I hope so. Country Donuts can NEVER go away !!!

Always fantastic. They make the donuts right there. Update... still great doughnuts... but... Make sure you pass on the Apple fritters. Twice now I got them and they were raw in the middle. I told the girl at the counter and she seemed not to care. The doughnuts are to expensive to have to throw some out.
